Every Sunday, the Takapuna Beach Sunday Market in Auckland is one of the city's busiest, running from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., regardless of the weather. Here, you can immerse yourself in the local community and might find some unexpected treasures. From fresh produce, handicrafts, delicious food, handmade trinkets, coffee, clothes to indoor plants, the wide array of goods will dazzle you. You might even discover the perfect souvenir from your holiday in Takapuna Beach. The market is located in the Anzac Street carpark, just a 10-minute walk from Takapuna Beach Holiday Park.
However, it's with regret that the Sunday Market, established in 1987 by the late Bill Jenner and Fred Keith and co-managed by Ess and Trish, will cease operations in the area on August 27th, 2023. Despite their efforts over the past few years to find a new suitable location for them and their stallholders, they have been unsuccessful.
