Ok. Well we have a ton to cover here. 1. Do dressage and jumpers raise their crop above their head and whip the horse as hard as they can? No. 2. If these horses are “bred for racing” and “love to do it” then why do you need a whip? If they already LOVE to run , then why do you need the whip?! 3. That’s why we put BOOTS on the horses legs in jumping. So they don’t strain their muscles. 4. Every industry DOES have its pros and cons, but racing is one of the big ones because most horses die from racing. 1,000+ horses die every year from racing. 50 horses die every year from jumping. See the difference?! 5. Those whips are CLEARLY not made of foam, because if you were to smack a FOAM whip against a horse, no sound would be made because of friction. And what do we hear? *SMACK, SMACK* every 8 seconds. 6. Most jockeys dope horses because they don’t want them To feel the pain on their legs breaking because they start training at 1yo, and race at 2. When they start training at the age of 1, their bodies aren’t fully developed, and starting a horse that early can damage their MENTAL HEALTH. 7. Sending horses to slaughter. Just because your horses didn’t win a race, doesn’t mean it’s “worthless” and deserves to go to slaughter. There is no reason for you to be sending innocent horses to slaughter just because they aren’t good enough. 8. And we can’t forget about the euthanized horses. In 3/5 races, at least 1 horse is euthanized because their owners don’t want to pay the medical bill of the injury. A horse can colic, and get surgery to fix it ( in most cases). But the owners are like “haha, I’m just going to kill it because it’s going to take 6 months to recover, and who has time for that?!” 9. Running horses until they die. In many cases horses heart can burst, have a heart attack and much more unfixable injuries because of the greed in people, and they always go for the gold. They will do anything, and everything for money. - did you know that secretariat’s rider killed 3 other horses because he ran them to death!? Wow that’s humane, right? This would be the “sport of kings” if people wouldn’t- whip their horses as hard as they can, drug up horses, starting horses as 1 year olds, using harsh bits, no bidding, no sending horses to slaughter because they didn’t win the race, no mistreating horses, and doing it because they love their horses, and not for the money.
