I know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
+TheRoadDriverly Had another XJ do that, as well as an Acura RSX, embarassed a TT pretty good one time too. One of the wildest ones was in the 4dr hatch Lebaron (RIP) that Jeep replaced, took a corner a bit hot and it started to push, so I let off, collected it, and looked in my mirror to find thst somebody in an old (although much newer than my car) Mercury Mystake had tried to follow me................Aaaaand understeered out of the accelleration lane, across two traffic lanes (which were empty because we had the green light, thank god!), and nearly biffed the left front corner into the median. When I saw that, I stuck my size 13 into the turbo and GTF Outta There!
I honestly have to say every show on the motortrend channel is just fantastic. Roadkill, Dirt everyday, ignition, etc. the hosts are great, they are very well produced, the have a great balance of humour and information. Even the ad reads are good because they can relate the ad to the original topic of the video. Definitely my favourite channel on RU-vid.
These Racing Line episodes are perhaps the best pieces of automotive content on RU-vid. Pobst is a great host and these videos are extremely well put together
Thank you so much! I have never really understood the relationship between the shortest route and the fastest route! Also going slower to go faster makes sense because you don't blow the apex out!
Why does this video skip in the playlist? This my fav new DRIVING show ever!! Prolly only one so far!! Randy Pobst is Driving inspiration and truth!! Thanx MT
For some reason this show feels like the Bill Nye the science guy of racing concepts. I really enjoy the way it is shoot and delivered. Looking forward to the next episode..
Another great episode, it seems with every episode I watch I learn the verbiage necessary to geek out about racing to less enthusiastic fans. I'd love to see an episode about driving stick. it was easy for me to teach my son but communicating with others I stagger with word choice.... yours always seem to be on point.
Great info Randy! I'm glad he brought up late apex on a decreasing radius, bump, and off camber turns, i seem to have trouble with this type of corner not hitting the apex late enough.
This is an awesome show! Keep it coming Randy! Could you also discuss when we should be braking and accelerating around a corner? You touched on it briefly in this video but that's what I usually have the most trouble with.
Love the show! I noticed though that a few episodes ago Randy discused passing and the technical rules behind passing during a race. I being the layman dont know anything about these rules. Maybe if you guys did an episode on the rules and technical stuff on racing I and others could understand Mr. Pobst better.
+Chicken Soup They use racing lines, too, but the radius is so huge that it's really not obvious. It's also pretty impressive to see them chuck those heavy beasts around places like Sears Point and Road America.
+Chicken Soup you sir are clueless. NASCAR drivers must follow an even more strict line than road courses. every NASCAR driver got their start as a successful driver somewhere else first and most certainly would make you look like a 3 year old downs patient on any track.
+rob brown Hmm, I'm not sure I'd say that have a line that's more strict; however, any variations in that line will result in losing maybe a tenth of a second, which, while on a road course isn't a huge deal, on an oval that's massive. Some tracks like Charlotte, California, Homestead-Miami, etc have a variety of lines, any of which can be faster depending on the tires and setup.
computiNATEor well said and my thoughts exactly. you must pick your line, where your car is fastest, and then like you said, if you fuck up one little bit, boom there goes 15 spots.
Randy, you are great! You actually have a good speaking voice when you are not stressed. Make the audio guys earn their pay, always talk your calmest and most velvety, let them worry about volume.
Very good, it'd be nice to see a difference or some info on a simple 90deg corner, would it be faster to go slow in and fast out, fast in slow out or the normal racing line, and would it depend on what corners or straights are after that simple 90deg corner? :)
One of the most important skill to identify & use for any racing, in games & real world. I already know the line from numerous hours of watching Le Mans & GT racing, but a cool video nonetheless.
