Idea for another "Raid" video: cover a totally fake Raid, but act like its real. Throw together as much obscure footage as you can. Something like Xylar. Just a huge meme.
@@lpawowp how about the boss just going down one of the pits, because one of your clan mates said, “wanna see something funny?” And then jumping on the harpy over on of the pitfalls.
This raid has a big learning curve but I’ve been able to teach people low man speed strats after their first clear. What makes this raid difficult is that people don’t understand the mechanics well; they try to brute force their way through the raid. This is why they wipe.
"At level this raid is a snoozefest" applies to literally any raid. Any of them. Even last wish is kind of a joke if everyone has done it before. Every boss including riven is easily one phaseable, with the exception of Shuro Chi for obvious reasons.
Or that the silver lining is that the “community came together” for an event . Like that’s nice but can bungie award these people for the things they did on this WHOLE PLAYLIST 😭
@@halo4xgamer what rivers? It looks decent in my opinion but it matches the boss and the story of the raid perfectly which is why it’s still the best raid in the game since the story for forsaken played right into the raid at the end the newer ones don’t feel the same
I prefer the Divinity style quest over the RNG drop like Anarchy, 1KV and Eyes on Tomorrow This raid is one of the prettiest looking raid being bested by only The Last Wish And the music is just incredible
He spent the last month deciding if he was going to move forward with pushing people into this data mining app; with the appeal of winning a PS5... It takes a lot of preparation to completely bank in on loyal fans with a dangling “Win This” at the end of it. Give the dude credit for throwing away responsibility for clicks & cash. Takes a lot of balls to potentially lose your fan base through a sketchy data mining app for an extra income. I hope it was worth it for him to put a bunch of 12+ year olds getting approached by their parents about this $17 a month attached fee every month, and getting grounded. Each and everyone of those kids are gonna be highly disappointed by the end of this week. This is a cash grab with morals put on the wayside; out of desperation and fear of changes to ones income within the eceleb/YT culture of content creators seeing the future of getting barely a note worthy financial future. With all of the new copyright guidelines getting rolled out. Y’all be careful with this “Giveawy”... It’s literally a “GriftAway”; nothing more. The casualties are not so much on this content creators worries obviously. $ talks, subscribers come & go to this guy. If you linked this app to your account; you’ve been played hard!.. (I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to the uploader though; he MAY not know what amount of problems he may have just put a bunch of kids into)🤷♂️👌🏻🥴
The people I know that hate it, hate it because of two reasons, poor communication, which is bound to happen at some point, and getting DIV…..which is a fucking nightmare, even to this day.
The windmill bit is probably intended to be actual downtime, you’ve been chasing around or running from Consecrated mind for like, 30 to 60 minutes, and that’s with a good team, with a jumping maze inbetween, you need a moment after all that stuff to just breath
I really enjoy this raid. The boss fight is actually pretty challenging especially for beginners because of how many steps you need to do on top of the amount of DPS you need to pump out. Also a bit unfortunate the video didn't cover more about the actual race between teams on Day 1. I would've wanted to know if it was a close fight and how the WF team and the other teams got their dubs. Follow up video maybe?
Surprisingly my first try to get divinity took me 1 hour and we first tried every single thing (even divinity puzzles) and wiped twice on boss cuz of tether not attaching to the boss
I wouldn’t call it a carry, this raid needs all players to be skilled in order to complete the raid, if one player doesn’t do a thing it most likely will be a wipe. So it’s not a carry it’s just the players are actually not good at comms
After flinging my shit at the wall trying to beat the Zero to One Hundred challenge for 3 hours i can safely say I never want to do this raid ever again.
Vex milk is actually really interesting. It is radiolaria fluid and is the conciousness of the vex constructs. The robot frames are just that, they are piloted by the microscopic silica-based organisms that make up the hive mind of the Vex.
I’m new to Destiny, and the lore along with it. How do the Vex get their robot frames if their consciousness comes from microscopic silica-based organisms? I’ve known the importance of “Vex milk” for a while but that question was never answered for me.
@@twelved4983 Well, I'm not all too familiar on the subject, but from what I've learned from the RU-vid Channel My Name Is Byf- due to their microscopic size, the Vex's organism clusters are able to manipulate atoms and particles- things of that variety, in order to become essentially microscopic tool users. And from there, I would assume it would only get easier as they progressed. I would highly recommend checking out My Name is Byf as he does excellent lore videos on all manner of Destiny subjects. Hope this helped!

@@broputer i'm not referring to textures, I'm referring to filesize. the reason Bungie deleted half the game's content wasn't because it was necessary, they're so bad at file optimization and file compression/distortion that instead of fixing it, they just removed it.
@@broputer destiny 2 runs like complete ass. It used to run better but the new lighting engine completely fucked it. They are aware of the issue and are working on it. I hope they fix it because my god it runs badly.
I have extremely mixed feelings on this raid. I love the mechanics with the tether and various buffs and debuts. The locations are beautiful and very nice to go through and just take in the atmosphere. I even love most of the encounters and the divinity puzzles are a blast, but that boss at the end. My team has so many failed attempts because of that damn boss. Either due to people dying with motes, gambit teams being too slow, people getting in the way of the tethers for damage, and worst of all, the bugs. The boss will either ignore the tether, face the wrong way, or something that happened in our most recent run, the box for tethers would not open even with all Angelics dead. That fight alone kinda ruins this raid for me just because of how frustrating it has been.
Just finished this raid with the Divinity quest a few days ago. I _really_ want to like it, the setpieces are amazing and the first three encounters are fun, but I have had the hardest time on the Sanctified Mind. It’s felt super super buggy, with tethers being finicky, visual bugs for the cross, and tether boxes not opening up unless someone used Chaos Reach on it. It was worth it for Divinity, but... my god. This is the most frustrating raid experience I’ve had.
VoG was directly tied into the story. CE was directly tied in. KF was directly tied in. Wrath was directly tied in. Leviathan wasn’t directly tied in but still fit within the narrative of the Cabal invasion. LW was directly tied in. Shattered Throne was directly tied in. Crown was directly tied in. GoS felt incredibly disjointed from the Shadowkeep campaign and was more aligned with the seasonal story/activity, with its sole redeeming factors being the darkness statue at the end and the witness speaking as our guardian cutscene taking place in what looks like the final run of the first encounter. Pit was directly tied in. Prophecy was directly tied in. DSC was directly tied in. Grasp was completely disjointed from the story. Vow was directly tied in. Duality was directly tied in. Garden of Salvation and Grasp of Avarice are definitely the most disjointed endgame PvE activities from a story standpoint.
Started playing destiny for the first time 2 weeks after beyond light came out. In 3 weeks I got eyes of tomorrow 6th try. 1k voices on my first LW chest. And finally completed divinity quest on my third garden clear. I spent 50% of all that time on sanctified mind div run.
not gonna lie, of all the raids to have existed in destiny 2(never played d1), garden is my 4th favourite. first second and third being lw, dsc and scourge respectively.
This is by far my favorite raid, there are so much freedom to test around and the Raid actually has difficulty. DSC is new but without contest mode, it feel like a joke in term of difficulty, even the final boss can easily 1 phase.
As soon as he went to say the name of the first encounter I got one of those vaping commercials. “The first encounter, known as, VAPING MADE IT HARD TO PLAY BASEBALL”
I know you probably get this comment a lot but I really appreciate you giving history lessons when it comes to these raids. I never played D1 so I never experienced all those amazing raid moments. I played D2 on launch and I wasn’t very impressed so I left. I eventually joined back when we saved Saint-14. I missed a lot and haven’t done most of these raids so it’s always nice to see the history behind them along with the season and how Destiny was doing at the time. You’re like the history teacher of raids tbh and I appreciate that
I also didn’t do the previous raids before the sunset. and i blame me for that, because they were so good when i saw evan videos, and i just started the game in shadowkeep, in the season of undying
I would love to play this raid again but when beyond light came out I can’t access the moon activities on all 3 of my characters and on my titan and warlock can’t open the tangled shore and it’s stuck on last call but won’t load the mission. Does anyone else have this problem
my man evan, thank you for putting in all the time you do into these videos, really makes a huge difference in quality, i’m able to re watch these vids over and over
This was a lazy video, no reactions on first encounters completion, a small touch on the divinity puzzle quest, no lore touch, this raid was far more than what you compared this too, it was a fun raid even to this day with cool mechanics altho buggy still a very challenging raid
I can understand your point and now that I think about it, yeah he never touched on lore like the other video's. I'd prefer less frequent videos if they are not at the quality of the DSC video.
It wasn’t lazy, there was just zero point in adding any more to those things. The lore is a joke. What else is there to say about divinity? Like opinions are opinions and you can like a raid or hate it, but by the majority’s feelings toward this raid I don’t think it was worth the time to add those things in here. I can agree on first encounter reactions to completions, but other than that I have to disagree with you.
@@bigb1rdstudios calm your fanboy coochie bruh. This upload is the laziest upload he’s ever done. The sponsor is a blatant data mining app, and the fact it targets the 12+ age group with a $17 a month price... What 12 yo has $17 a month to spend on this? This is the first of many to see YT content creators desperation’s in keeping an income going. New copyright laws coming are going to destroy YT content creators. It already has ; but it’s going to get worse. My issue is with Even joining this sponsor overall. It’s dangerous and seriously irresponsible to sign on with a very sketchy organization/company. So many red flags; if you know what to look for in it. So many reasons NOT to trust it; because this app is rated somehow to target 12+ is the eye opener for me. As 12 yo are expected to pay $17 a month is a can of worms ready to explode. if you have a brain that works without a rockstar? It’s pretty easy to see all of the reasons not to trust this app with a 🥔, much less multitudes of parents that are going to get ripped off by their kids bad decisions (yeah, the parents fault if they are not paying attention to what the kids are doing; but it still be a very messy situation in the end). Many young subscribers are going to be so disappointed and let down by this “Hey, try this app that literally catalogs/records/mines your activity on your personal accounts across ALL game platforms; so it can be sold to 3rd parties to better learn how to market your “consumer” choices. So, they can better increase their revenue $$. All of your personal info you’ve conducted on these platforms are worth a 000.027% chance of winning a PS5... Being responsible on the internet is worth $$$ to someone else; if you don’t practice being responsible on the internet..... The bigger picture is easy for me to see here. Do these things even cross anyone’s mind anymore? Apparently not
@@bigb1rdstudios the lore isn’t a joke because it links in with beyond light, this raid is in the black garden the very same place destiny 1 vanilla story ended, how come he touch more on raid lairs than a full on raid that people to this day have difficulty against the final boss and the divinity puzzle, there is no point on touching to good details here but yes on raid like spire of stars?
@@shugoo7599 last wish is still in the game and is way better and harder, spire is a lot harder, sure it was buggy, but it's not like garden isn't either lol, garden is very weak
I have no regrets in saying this, this is by far my least favorite of all of the raids within Destiny’s history. Bar none, the worst raid I ever had the displeasure of doing, and I had to grind through it so much since it was the only new raid from last year
I like the tethers in concept, but they're by far one of the most broken and irritating mechanics in the entire raid. They stretch for so long when you've got someone where they're not supposed to be, and are way too short when you need just a bit more length. Plus they've resulted in a number of glitches that have sunk runs for my team. Just this last run we were going good when all of a sudden the tether box turned off but the game didn't register that I was untethered, leaving me with all of the effects of being tethered. I couldn't do much more than tether or pick up motes for the rest of the run, and that's a level of broken that simply isn't acceptable. When a raid contains glitches that can effectively remove one player from the encounter, you know they didn't put in anywhere near enough effort.
"This raid is a snooze fest." No, shut up. This raid's boss is the hardest thing in Destiny. I literally played this a few days ago, and Holy crap, never again.
People need to finally accept the fact that this level of release is what you’re going to get every year. Every single release since forsaken people have complained and are waiting on this big game reviving release Bungie has in the works, and it’s not there. These releases just like beyond light is Bungies peak on what they can create and offer. They can’t offer things like they used to and they refuses to just come out and say that but it’s been years now and it obvious. People have to accept it and support it or just move on. It’s hard to hear but it’s true.
Ngl I ended up quitting shortly after f2p because there was an influx of people playing so the raids I hosted (I'm always the guy that asks for experience instead of clears) it was an absolute nightmare, because yes there's a difference between experience and clears however you can farm clears from checkpoints, and I don't believe in people not being added to my fireteam if they don't have a clear, raids are hard, sometimes people run out of time and have no choice but to get off, I'll only ever kick someone if they fail 3 times first try, then fail another two adjusting teams to place stronger players with weaker players, hell to give an example my patras run last wish team had 2 people in it who had never completed the raid, and the raid was fully lfg, also low-key anyone reading this who has a clan with a good portion of active people hmu, got kicked from the last one due to being inactive for about 2 years
y'know, I enjoy Shadowkeep more than Forsaken, Shit is overrated. Garden of salvation is undoubtedly the most beautiful raid in D2 history and my second favorite, Behind Wrath. While Forsaken changed the meta away from a double primary to a more diverse one while shadowkeep introduced armor 2.0, one of the most important end-game grinds in the game today, Master strikes and such which led to grandmasters soon after and also introduced free to play, almost doubling the player-base size.
I would say most people hate this raid because EVERYONE has to participate in some way. A lot of people just want to be lazy, sit around, and kill some stuff. Personally I think it’s a very fun raid.
Until beyond light era, i still cant move-on that "auto-reload". because auto-reload = more meta (not only exotic), not like after shadowkeep launch the dps weapon now only sword, xeno, coldstrike, slug sg. AND they nerf RL like trash weapon (especially RL exotic for dmg boss raid it got "boss bar debuff hit")
28:13 I agree. Last wish is my favorite raid partly because every encounter is mechanically different. It's a long raid but it stays fresh because you're doing something different every encounter.
I’m a new player, and my fireteam is made up of Destiny vets and newer players alike. Garden was my first raid ever completed, and the euphoria I felt is something I’m gonna be chasing for a long time 😂
I will forever be one of the 4 people who like this raid lol, the Mechanics are actually encouraging teamplay instead of 2 people sit and do nothing while the other 4 do everything else (not that I hate Vow at all I love it in fact).
Fuck the Sanctified Mind. I hate that fight so much. Shades of Aksis Phase 2 in terms of what it feels like when it comes to having to execute everything, and one wrong thing can ruin a run.
This raid has a lot of lore and scenery it felt like a slap in the face by you to watch you hype it up just to dump on it in the end. And you seem to lack a lot of knowledge on the lore. No hate to you love the videos just my opinion.
Redeem took forever to get it completed lol. Probably because there wasn't any exploits for them to take advantage of. Also contest mode would not be as fun as hard mode. Just having tankier enemies that hit harder doesn't make it fun. Hard mode in D1 is a better idea because the enemies are a little tougher, more numerous, and has added mechanics.
The problem I have with this raid is that it doesn’t reward you enough for knowing what to do and that no one can have a hero moment, it’s still so easy to get caught up even when you know what to do
This is one of the hardest raid boss fights because it requires the entire raid team to pull their own weight, which is difficult for all 6 players to do consistently if you're using LFG. It really punishes good players, while being entirely impossible for slow losers
*making contest mode a modifier for bonus loot might piss off the community* oh fucc no gimme that now, if bungie isnt going to give us a true hardmode please at least give us that
I never knew that consecrated mind was a strike boss from d1 and I played it on the ps4, and I had a feeling about the undying mind from d1 as well. Honestly, that’s pretty damn cool. Like S.A.B.E.R and Taniks in DSC.
I was actually really excited to try plink cuz I can never find a single person to raid with but it fuckin costs money, what a bunch of bs paying money just to lfg so cool
I’ve stayed up 4 days in a row just to get to the power level for the boss plus the frames were so terrible (I was on Xbox at the time) that it was a roll of the dice if we had a good run... the last day 2 of my fire team left so we found two randoms on Reddit and beat it to get the raid jacket. I literally had a nightmare of my friends telling me to shoot the cyclops each time a portal opened
16:57 I wonder, is that the original tree of silver wings? I mean, I know it doesn’t look like the one we found, but the lore said it was reduced to a smoldering stump, and plus since it was destroyed at what was basically the beginning point of time, it makes sense it was overgrown, seeing that the gardener (light) had left and the winowner ( darkness) only tended to what it saw necessary to destroy.
