Definitely looks like it was a great day. It’s people like you who make our world better, bringing a bunch of people who enjoy similar hobbies together.
THANKS for putting this out there! :) This is the 1st., & I'm confident - not the last of your videos, for me to see! :) It was GREAT! :) It would be great if I was closer to all of you, to join you sometime - but I'm WAY North-west of you, in Saskatchewan (north of Montana :) ....I too - as ALL of YOU :) GREATLY ENJOY TRAINS!!! :) Dow Taylor :)
Congrats on 30K Brother Rowan! Very happy to see you guys had a great time. If you ever get the chance, come on down to SoCal, and we'd love to show you all the good railfanning spots. All the best!
That empty coal train was definitely a "HEAVYWEIGHT" even not being loaded! Very impressive w 4 LEADERS, 1 MID DPU plus 3 more towards the end! Lots of horsepower running the rails. Nice catches and thanks for sharing this video ROWAN!
@@RailfanRowan I'm a BIG FAN of your channel and you never disappoint! You always bring the BEST to the table! Keep up the AMAZING work my friend and I'm viewing this from the 1st state of DELAWARE.
@@RailfanRowan You should come to route 460 just past where general mahone hwy and Waverly in the town Waverly intersection and the tracks are right next to the road and the NS AND AMTRAK TRAINS ARE FLYING IM TALK 50- 80 MPH MAN ITS CRAZY
Great to see you and another new rail fan video of yours. Really good catches of the trains and your usual fantastic job of narration. God bless you friend and thanks for sharing this with us all.
it was cool for you to come up to ashland,va i live here in richmond,va and i have videos of trains up there in ashland so congrats for 30,000 subscribers dude and keep the videos up
G'day from Down Under Rowan, yet another great video mate, love watching Ashland on the VRF cams, first one I ever watched was La Plata, in Missouri. Congratulations on reaching 30 000 subscribers, a considerable achievement, well done. Love ya, J.
Great video as always Rowan. If you’re ever in the area of Berea, Ohio, that’s a great spot. A CSX and an NS main right next to each other, the place sees around 100+ trains a day.
@@RailfanRowan If you get up that way get hold of me, I'm close (Akron). If it's the right day of the week I can show you some spots on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic. But if you come up for NKP 765 in September you're probably going to be disappointed, the local cops block off just about every decent photo location in the Valley from the fans because the CVSR hates the fans; this is seriously true. If you're not buying a ticket they don't want anything to do with you, even if you bought a ticket for an earlier train. You should have stayed in Ashland another hour for the Southbound Auto-Train, usually through there 5 to 5:30 or so. Unidentified Amtrak train at 8:00 was almost certainly #81, Southbound "Silver Star".
@@RailfanRowan Pro Tip: Learn their rules well. EVERYTHING is about safety from getting a cup of water at the cooler to switching out a train to operating a locomotive... always remember that! You can thank me later. If you have any questions about anything I'm here for you good luck my friend.
Awesome! I just left Ashland. Go 1-2 times a week. Great times. Should have gone to Doswell to the Buckingham Branch yard and Diamond from the old RF&P and C&O crossing. Happy rail fanning.
I went to college in Ashland. I was a railfan way back in the early 1980s. I have some cool pictures from back then. I have a good one of Amtrak going through in a snowstorm there.
What a nice suprise! A video from railfan rowan! Congrats rowan on 30,000 subs. Looked like a great rally. Im having to work 6days a week, otherwise i would have been there. I hope to meet you some day. God bless you!
Terrific catches! Terrific to see a lot of railfans railfanning at Ashland on a Saturday with beautiful weather. I like how railfans from North Carolina are railfanning in other places besides in North Carolina.
This is Dan's Railfan Adventures, but I wish I could've gone. Just a trip that was the next weekend happened, and we were tight on money and time. Next rally I will be at though!!!
Always more fun with a crowd. Wish I could have been there. Still great to be able to watch the rally on video. I did manage to see y'all when you walked in front of the VR camera at Ashland and waved. That was great. I hope you're thinking about what to do at 40,000 haha
For your 40K Subscriber Railfan rally you should come to Fairport, NY there’s about 30-35 trains during the day! Freights, Locals, Amtraks, And lots of cool catches to be seen everyday! Your best bet would be the “Fairport Train Viewing Platform”. There’s also tons of places to eat in a walking distance! You should definitely check it out! Also I live in the area and have many videos from there so if you want check those out to see what it’s like!

Sir, I just came across your channel. At Ashland, Va. Subscribed, today on 3-8-22 How old are you, and how long a Railfan? Where are you from. How far do you travel to see trains? Sorry, to many questions. Chris Abernathy here. Baltimore. Md. I'm 67. Don't feel, or act it, that's for sure. My Dad loved trains. Especially steam trains. He had the American Flyer and Lionel sets. Those were the days. Do you get to see many, at special events? Amazed at the many young Railfans with you there. Thank you.
Looks like a great time! Suggestion: Come up to railfan on the CSX Chicago Line in NY, the CSX equivalent of NS's Pittsburgh Line. Lots of fast, scheduled trains!
