Did you know that Jenny Agutter (the older woman shown here) was first Roberta (the oldest daughter) in the 1970s version, then the mother in the 2000 version? :)
There is also a mini-series version, but Miss Agutter is not in it. I am a Railway Children fanatic. The 2000 Masterpiece version is my favourite because Jemima Rooper is fantastic as Bobbie and Gregor Fisher as Perks is a delight. Seeing Jenny Agutter as Mother is a special treat. I can't wait to see this new sequel.
Yes she is!! I love her she’s an amazing actress - especially in call the midwife- and the old guy with her at some point he is in the Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society! X
Miss R: I KNOW! My father died when I was 2 and I always secretly hoped that he would somehow come back. And when Jenny Agutter sees her father appear out of the mist and she cries, “Daddy! My daddy!” I am an absolute basket case every single time! And I am now 70. Go figure!
This looks like a mish mash of "Whistle Down the Wind" and the "Famous Five". Nice to see Jenny Agutter out and about again, but where is Bernard Cribbins? At 93, his's still kicking around..... Kids and some old fans might like it...
nice to see it made in Yorkshire and nice to See Jenny Agutter reprising her role well I think it's she is reprising her but I don't know either way nice to see an old face again in the new version of the railway children well I think it is
It’s not her fault if she’s been in more Versions of the railway children Than any living actor She’s been in the TV show Been in the movie in the radio play Quite possibly on the stage And this one which is a direct sequel to the movie
Lol.. You seem a bundle of fun. Don't watch it then - but I'm sure it will attract a new audience. And by the way - a new film cannot "ruin" the original - which still exists and will be loved by future generations. 👍🏼
@@hudsynn3661 I see you put the word people in quotes. Isn't that the definition of unpersoning. unperson : To strip (a human being) of rights, identity or humanity.
You know, this post is like penises. A lot of people have them, some want to share them, but when they actually do it makes everything awkward and it usually leaves a lot to be desired.
