The Rain Did Not Stop: Landscape Photography in Gordale Scar

I took a drive up to Gordale Scar in the Yorkshire Dales to photograph the waterfall at the end. What an EPIC location this is. Despite the rainy weather I enjoyed the day as well as the hike over to Malham Cove.

The only plus side of going there in the rain is that there aren't so many people about, another good one Chris keep it up

I did the same walk in the same conditions back in February! It was impossible to get up the waterfalls as there was way too much water, even if my legs would have got me up! Took photos in exactly the same place under the overhang! Must go back in better conditions.

Malham is my favourite area to photograph and gorsale scar is fantastic when the water is in full force. Weather looked a bit grim but you've just got to get on with it. Enjoyed the video and the images looked good 👍

Chris, I've been a follower of your channel for a long time. I'm a Yorkshire lad that lives abroad now and your videos are a great way for me to feel like I'm back home :) I've got a Synco wireless mic coming so that I can do more video outside rather than edit at home with a wired mic. I have a decent cell phone as well as the T2i, so can finally get out and about. Do you have a selfie stick for your cell phone or do you just hand hold it? I'm getting older so a stable video with the cell phone while moving can be an issue LOL.

Actually the weather made it kind of moody…enjoyable when you get to watch from a warm room! Curious, what did you record this with when walking? Action camera? Looked good!

That was my front camera from my iPhone. I was a bit worried how that would look but it turned out alright. Aside from it recording in HDR and having to convert it dragged me out of a spot.
