The rain didn't stop all day, it's dry and warm in the dugout! The first night in the dugout!

Hello everyone, it's finally happened! We spent the first night in our warm and bright dugout. Although the door was temporary, but it coped well with its role! And our oven coped on its own, although it is small, but, judging by the characteristics, it is capable of heating up to 100 sq. m., and our room is only 30 sq.m
. The next day it rained all day, we had no choice, we pulled the awning again, used our kitchen table as a workbench and started to the manufacture of the future door. The idea of the door has been sitting in us for a long time, we wanted an entrance door without connecting nails, we only lacked a suitable tool that we accidentally found in our store🤠 As a result, the door turned out to be excellent, and it should not let heat through even in the most severe frosts!
Friends, there are already too many words, we wish everyone a pleasant viewing and a good mood!🤝

The thought process that you have put into this build rivals any modern day multi thousand dollar homes, and is very refreshing for us viewers to watch!! This is no doubt something that will last your lifetimes if not your children and grandchildren!!! Excellent build, can’t wait to see what you do with the inside!!!

You guys are so clever and Hugo is so funny (curling up in the wood shavings and crashing while you two toiled, supervising stove installation , etc). Thanks so much for this video!

Your dugout looks well draft proof and it's got no windows. Hope the fire doesn't use up all the oxygen down there, be careful about the risk of suffocation. Be safe. Like the door fixing dovetail. 👍

Им нужна вентиляция, и было бы неплохо установить сигнализацию CO. Думаю, очень скоро сделают вентиляцию и сделают более прочную систему крепления дровяной печи. :) They do need ventilation and a CO alarm would be nice. I'm thinking they will do the ventilation and make a more permanent mounting system for the wood stove very soon. :)
@normanwyatt8761
@normanwyatt8761 6 месяцев назад
@@StupidPete48 The durable mounting system for the stove will come after the floor gets put in I suppose....Hello to you all in SIBERIA from Norman in the U. S. A.........That's a great cabin the're building....
@StupidPete48
@StupidPete48 6 месяцев назад
@@normanwyatt8761 I agree with you about the floor is completed. I still wonder about what the guys will do for a "source" of air for the stove. They are sealing up every crack and crevice in the cabin. I wonder if they will make a hole in the cabin wall by the stove. Then port fresh air from outside "directly" into the stove. I had such an arrangement on my fireplace insert in my previous house. This will eliminate the stove from drawing in cold air from remaining leaks in the cabin walls and cracks around the door. I still believe it would be a good idea to have a CO alarm as "tight" as that cabin appears to be. All that said, these two brothers have done an INCREDIBLE job building this cabin and the other cabin they built. They have really excellent skills and a work ethic second to NONE in my opinion.(I'm going to post this in Russian to see what ,if any, response the brothers or anyone else has to say)

Nice professional work...my uncle was a carpenter in the US. He was very fussy in little things as were you both. All the safety features when putting in the stove down to putting it outside to smoke off and set the coating. My dad had a pot bellied stove that heated upstairs through floor vents. Splitting wood was a never ending story...lol. This is the most realistic video I've seen. Not touting it as a survival shelter, but, a warm dry refuge year round. Good job!!😁🫠 .
