So I’m left with finding her places that are mowed too the lake like a park but those places usually don’t have good fishing lol ...
You run big game main line right? I love it cause it's tough tough and it is cheap. I use it for leader too. What pound main line are you running on your okuma? I love all bnm catfish rods. I use the regular for channel cats and for heavier current I have a magnum and an elite I just got 2 weeks ago. Great rods for the price, they perform good and feel good and look good.
You know, aside from the Des Moines and the Cedar (of course the Mississippi and MO rivers) that's called a river to most Iowans lol. There may be spots on the Iowa and SO Skunk that get bigger but most of our interior rivers are about that size lol.
