@@KewlSokudo The video has been lost to time as has the audio for the performance because my phone voice recorder crapped out during it, but I've managed to find audio of us practicing. We were playing the song because the drummer had never heard it before. It's a few blind high schoolers farting their way around the music, but I'll post it if you would like.

Man.... It doesn't need to be intense, and yet it has so much impact for being one of the final levels in the game, playing as you prepare you approach and appearance in the final Moon Level to fight the final boss.... It somehow sticks with you, symbolizing the entire journey and the tragic lore and backstory between two brothers....

I am so incredibly new to Risk of Rain, like literally under a week new, and I knew that as soon as I heard this song that it was a timeless classic. There's something so incredible about the music in this franchise that I picked up on almost right away. It's honestly such an interesting and mesmerising soundtrack.

As someone with little knowledge of the lore, I gotta say, The Rain Formerly Known as Purple is just beautiful on its own. It may not always sync with what you're doing on Sky Meadows, the stage where it plays (and the last one before you either fight the final boss or start looping through stages), but that guitar riff... I have no words. It's beautiful.

It’s only so obscure because of Chris C’s take on vgm, covers and such. There’s another musician on this platform with the username GaMetal, and he had to cancel any RoR2 covers he had planned because it could have been a risk for his channel.
