The Twenty-Sixth Tradition
On the authority of ‘Abdu’Llāh bin ‘Amr; ‘The Messenger of God ﷺ said, ‘The fast and the Qur’ān will intercede on behalf of the slave on the Day of Resurrection. The fast will say, ‘My Lord, I prevented him from food and desires by day, so allow me to intercede on his behalf.’ The Qur’ān will say, ‘I prevented him from sleeping by night, so allow me to intercede on his behalf.’ (The Messenger of God) ﷺ said, ‘They thereby proceed to intercede.’
