Your comment from 2 years ago above being a Vietnam Vet prompted me to say, I hope you are well😊 My brother-in-law was in Vietnam and had Agent Orange. He died 1 year ago. I was in the Army 1975-1978. Those hymns were a great comfort 😊 God bless you 🙏
I feel cheated to have missed the Rambos, but I was a little busy with the military at the time. Later, I did hear many musical groups singing Dottie's songs. This song really touched me when I needed to return to the Lord. The REAL message is we (I) cannot "win" favor. We (I) are unworthy! It is only because Jesus shed his blood and is willing to look beyond our (my) faults and see the contents of my heart.
This woman and her great band captured my heart with the words and love she has for our Saviour Jesus Christ.. Her words are embedded in my heart and mind. I sing these words everyday He looked beyond my Faults and Saw My Need. I am forever grateful.
what a powerful song. I have been saved from the time I was six years old, I am now 51. every year that I walk with God is better than the year before. God is so good to me. He gives me more than I deserve.
My mother was IN LOVE w the Rambos in the 70s, during the height of their career. She loved Dottie n Reba her whole life. I was very little but I remember vividly, her playing their albums all the time. Hearing the Rambos was a staple at our house and I had a steady diet of it. She sang their songs at home and at church. I bet i hadnt heard this in 30yrsn n it came2my memory just outta nowhere almost a wk ago. Iv played it several Xs a day, everyday since. THANK U LORD4BEAUTIFUL PRAISE N WORSHIP MUSIC LIKE THIS!!!
Dottie Rambo has one of the BEST voices of ALL time. (not to mention one of the best songwriters of all time) What a blessing growing up with this type of music in my house.
So sad how she passed in that wreck. Doesn’t seem like it’s been that long since she passed, but it’s been like 16 years. She was so talented. She wrote some of the most beautiful, powerful gospel songs.
Dottie Rambo and family but especially Ms Dottie is still a blessing. Even after her death, she is to me. The holy ghost has surely blessed her with all these beautiful, inspirational songs.Thank u Jesus for ur love & blessing us with a Angel Ms Dottie Rambo. A little while, she was blessed & I know she suffered in pain here on earth. That didn't stop her she still worked for Jesus singing songs. Plus getting people to be saved. Praise God forever for her life. I will continue to listen to her songs, they touch my heart, lift me up. God bless Ms Dotties family. I know they miss her but will see her again in heaven
As a young lad, i use to sit and listen to the Rambos for hours at a time memorizing the songs. This was my favorite song, to listen to and sing in church, because i got to sing it with my dad...Dottie to me was the Dolly Parton of gospel music....
My first time hearing this song I just got out of jail this morning I read the rambos book in there and wanted to see and hear them sing. Its a good song I'd say.
Just get Jesus as your Anchor, and keep him near. You have to break from your past buddies too bc they will take you back down and disappoint you, but Jesus never will. I have been a Christian for years, and HE still looks beyond my faults and sees my needs, and He will for you too. Read John 3:16 in a King James Bible. It expains my point well.
Love this song! He sure looked beyond my faults and saw in me something I couldn't see. Thank you Lord for saving me from myself and loving me enough to turn my life around.
This is my favorite song of all time. It reminds me that our Heavenly Father looks at us through eyes of love. it does not matter what we've done, how we look, what nation we are from, the color of our skin, our gender, or how much money we have. He looks us with a fathers love.
Man/Woman cannot save ourselves. It took the Spotless Lamb of God who died for someone like me and you. Yes, He sure looked my fault and saw my need. I just had to accept Him, and ask His help EVERYDAY to live my life for Him. When I fall, he picks me up, dusts me off, speaks to me, and encourages me.
Thanks for all the comments from everyone, The Rambos were my cousins. And to the Atheist comments, Thank you !! I know that Dottie would pray for you, As I will. I know you don't understand that !! The Bible says that God is to big for anyone to understand, It also says that all it takes is FAITH as in the size of a mustard seed. We christians just have a mustard seed in our pocket !!! lol God bless you.
this song helped me to get saved. I played it over and over again. This and Yolanda Adams I Open Up My Heart. I recommend these songs for an alter call.
Our Dear friend "Peanut Faircloth" sang this song often and got to talk with and hear Dottie in Ringgold GA a few years ago not long before she went to be with the Lord. Peanut and Dottie are singing now in their eternal home,he passed in March 2010. Thanks for posting this wonderful song. "TRUST JESUS"
Absolutely beautiful. The greatest harmony I every heard. Love the Rambos. Got to share the stage with them when Patti Carpenter was singing with them. I was with a group and we fronted the Rambos. The most exciting day of my life.
Both this song and "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus" are ones that my 83-year-old aunt (my mom's older sister) sings over and over in church. When she passes on, every time I hear those songs, I'll think of her.
The Rambos were one of the greatest Gospel singing evangelists. They ahd some high pentecostal meetings back in the day. Dottie Rambo and Nancy Harmon are my two favorites.
Many years ago I was getting ready for Sunday morning church in the bedroom when this group came on the T V. When I heard these voices come on, I immediately went to listen. I was amazed at the awesome blend. I had never heard anything near to compare. And Dottie was such a drawing card with so many talents in my opinion.
Dena Wood I agree with you. She was is and always will be my biggest inspiration in gospel music. I miss her more than words could ever express. God bless you and keep you.
+Reginald “Redge” Erb this I know because I have sung both songs. Still, both great songs. Like " Greensleeves." It's done either as a folk or Christmas song. Still, I love the words in Dotties rendition.
Kathryn Richards yes, I agree with you, it is a beautiful song that she wrote to the lyrics of this wonderful melody that should give inspiration to any Christian or non Christian for that matter since it is so beautifully done.
To the one who uploaded this video, I see the comments you have made concerning the Rambos and harmony, and let me tell you, this was done all the time in black gospel music for far many years before Ms. Rambo was born. I believe she got that from the black church experience or hearing black quartet groups sing. If you check out old groups such as the Sensational Nightingales, the Soul Stirrers, the Mighty Clouds of Joy etc., you will see what I am talking about.
Well, I think that FAMILY harmony, in any color, is unique and in my opinion, superior to any other. There is just something about genetics, especially when siblings sing together.
Such mercy and grace that brought me to calvary that I might see and receive the love God demonstrated to me through his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is my all. Nothing has value in my life unless it comes through the filter of the cross. I consider every person, event, or thing an opportunity to either thank God or plead for his guidance and wisdom.
