Lar's voice kinda fits for the "Then I took out my razorblade" part tho, one of the best versions of this song

I still think that must have been a "god" moment for Lars and Tim.... how they managed to pull it off so brilliantly is a testament to their own excellence.

First time I heard "..And Out Come the Wolves..." I was blown away! One of those tapes (yeah it was a cassette) that I could listen to from beginning to end!

Ha ha! I was at Op Ivy's last show at Gilman Street. I also saw them play with Primus, Psychefunkapus, Beatnigs, Greenday, Nomeansno, Victim's Family, NOFX and Firehose, to name a few. If you liked punk rock, the SF Bay Area was a very happening place to be back then. I think I was too young to really appreciate what I was seeing, but I'm glad that in Op Ivy, I got to experience Rancid's early incarnation.

The guitarist in all leather has always been the lead singer for Rancid, that's my hero, Tim Armstrong. Lars Frederiksen(the dude singing the razor blade part) was picked up by Rancid after they recorded their first album, he sings too. Just answer the question a previous commenter had.

I understand your point bro, ..... sometimes i hear this "new" music, nu-metal and some other shit.... and the "real music" (Sabbath, Purple, Ramones, Sex Pistols, AC/DC, Motorhead, Maiden, etc...) comes to my mind.... and I just can say: "This is real music, .... honest music... an I like it" :) . It's a great clip, and I think we'd all like to be in Tim and Lars' shoes there... getting to play along with the greatest rock'n'roll band that EVER existed. Well, the original studio recording appears on the Ramones first album (self-titled) in 1976. You can find the CD of this very performance on "We're Outta Here" released in 1996 on Eagle Rock Recoreds. There is no studio version with Tim and Lars teaming up with the Ramones.

This was probably the greatest concert ever put on by anyone.

As I said... it "died" for me...as in, I just don't enjoy metal anymore, and haven't for years.... obviously it's more alive and vibrant than ever... the thing is, people claim to have witnessed the death of punk constantly, it's not dead, metal is not dead.... some of us just need different things from music... I need this.... intense, simple, primitive ROCK AND FUCKING ROLL!

@LastChanceForLoud First thing I thought as well. Lars has a great voice for the backup vocals in this song. And for as old as Joey was, his voice was still pretty damn good.

Punk is not dead, punk lives in Ramones´s memory. simple music that reach your heart and soul.... God... i miss Ramones.... :( , punk is not dead, but , ... be honest, i cant see anybody in the scene that do what they did, ...nobody. Metal lives and will live forever (its formula is more versatile than punk´s,)... Iron Maiden is a good example.

Mas agora são uns vendidos do caralho a musica deles agora mete me nojo, so aquela do 21 guns ppffff. Rancid já se conseguiram manter mais longe disso embora se note algumas diferenças nas musicas antigas para as novas.

punk will never die....it's the same thing for metal...you can't kill it. it will always be around no matter what...music like britney spears and lady gaga on the other hand...won't make in the long run..i don't think so.

There is an excellent documentary on dvd out there called "END OF THE CENTURY, THE STORY OF THE RAMONES" that I recommend to all of you guys. If you type END OF THE CENTURY RAMONES here in RU-vid you can get some stuff from that documentary, even the cinema trailer.
