I agree, I saw CJ and he was great and was going to see Dee Dee not long after Joey died but he bailed the day of the show which was a serious letdown because he's my favorite Ramone and one of the best songwriters eva...still have the records, though...
I'm so grateful I got to see the Ramones numerous times,I will never forget feeling the balcony at the Academy in NYC moving up and down the whole time they played RIP R.A.M.O.N.E.S!!!!!
While not one of their early-career classics, Brain Drain is an under-appreciated Ramones' album in my opinion -- their last better-than-average album!
Cheetah Thunders. that seems so weird to me as i always thought everyone saw pet cemetery as there crappy sell out song. Not talking crap about the Ramones mind you just that one song and the video they did was very disliked by most the fans i knew.
Sadly, the only surviving members of the band are the band are the 2 drummers. Must have seen them no fewer than 15 times back in the day at various venues in NYC. Always a great, fast paced show. They could play 30 songs in 45 minutes. One of the classic bands of their time that have influenced numerous bands. One of the founding fathers of the punk rock era. RIP Ramones...
I wonder if Joey knew he had cancer, and still went on with the shows,or if he found out later, cause if he still went on with the shows even after he found out he had cancer, that’s commitment
@@nunyabusiness2280 1995 then lived 6 years with it damn based on the fact how much health issues he had since the 1970s, im amazed that he made it to 49,5 plus he did alot of alcohol and cocaine in the mid 80s until 1990
Billboard Live on the Sunset Strip (the old Gazzari's) was supposed to be the venue but the Ramones had to be bounced out due to construction problems and delays. Guess Joey never got the news. To add to the confusion the packaging for the live album (and the VHS of the show that we are all watching now) still lists the venue as Billboard Live.
su ultimo recital tendria que haber sido en river,no ahí.no puedo creer que de despedirse de argentina en un estadio con 45.000 terminaron su carrera en palace para 3.000 y con un publico mas frio que la mierda.
R.I.P Dee Dee... we miss ya. Now you guys just gotta wait for Tommy and you'll be kicking ass up in Htheir all together again. Then maybe Heaven won't be so fucking quiet.
Completamente de acuerdo , pero johnny al ser un republicano y conservador nunca hubiera aceptado eso . Y ademas cualquier banda desearia terminar su carrera en la patria donde nacio.
Probably just doing it kinda different. They did play like 2,200 shows so I'm sure they would change some things slightly just to keep their sanity, I actually did a project on their touring in statistics and they played on tour constantly, like literally constantly 😂
