Yeah that dude who made this video his information is way off steady B and cool c been down with each other since day one.👎🏾I’m a DJ since 82 I have all their albums.
a little insight that led to this...we have to remember technology wasn't what it is today, and most banking camera systems were still shots or fuzzy pictures. a lot of cats were jacking banks because it was an easy come-up or hitting armor trucks. you might hit a lick for six figures and lie low for a couple of months. you had crews from south philly to frankford putting in work. also, cars were so easy to steal and took almost a week to be on the hot sheet. this bank was picked due to high traffic and roosevelt blvd right up the street then you a ghost. banks on the outskirts of the city were on high alert due many robberies so dudes moved inward taking the risk for a quick come up. the nineties were wild times with people that was in the dope game seeing and feeling the drought switched up. you know hustlers never limit themselves to one hustle-beanie mac. yeah the hilltop had some off the finest dimes and smoothest cats around.
@ Jei Chandler : He's also a father and best believe even though he's behind them walls his family has taken an "L" as well. NOBODY CAME OUT ON TOP IN THIS TRAGEDY.
Because of this story I have to grin everytime I listen to Cool C‘s „Glamorous Life“ where a girl tells him that since she’s with Steady B she got all the money and things she wants 😅 maybe they had to rob a bank cause they were spending everything on the girls back then..
One Of The Greatest Mc's Ever, The Way He Was Rhyming in 1989 on his Album ' I Gotta Habit' Wasn't To many on his level at that time which makes that album a classic
They were robbing banks before rap that's what the song I got a habit is about. Hilltop Hustlaz ain't need Rap. HillTop families still eating University grads business owners homeowners etc.
Such a massive shame, really, how their lives are both gone, I love how both of their music are very much products of their time and radiate that early new school aesthetic, such a shame, I really like the artistry and I'm glad they didn't change their sound to match the time, just because other people were doing that, didn't mean they had to, their light, punchy and almost gritty beats reminiscent of the early cartoony hip-hop new school aesthetic from the very late 80s.
Cool C dised Shan yet stole his entire style SMH and I liked Steady because of that Serious BDP Remix. but he was kinda wack. Honestly it was always EST for me. Dude had all the bars and style. Either way I love Philly it's my adopted City and I'm there often. Shout out to my man Schooly School .
@ Chames XXL : "but he was kinda wack", I don't know what you be on but joints like this are far from WHACK ! , : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O6XIDBtw9Lg.html YA HEARD ? ! "SHINING STAR" was another banger off his 2nd album. I was just bumping that in the whip TODAY. He didn't sound like a SHAN CLONE to me on that joint. Listen to his verse on the joint titled "Uza Flea" off of the " Steady B. V " album from 1991. That verse is still🔥
@ Derrick Jackson : Why ?, were you at the bank that morning to see everything play out in REAL TIME ? I know I wasn't, so if that's the same case with you ?, then I think it's safe to say that you REALLY CAN'T CALL IT !, YOU FEEL ME ?! It's between him and God now. They know what went down. Forensics and ballistics are only as accurate as the person conducting those tests. HUMAN ERROR CAN STILL BE A FACTOR !, WORD !!!!🤔
