He's a member of rap unit, Danceracha, and his vocal range is impressive. Yes he's used for deeper things, but if you haven't yet, listen to Ssick. His voice there might surprise you!
Actually felix in the dance racha too yes it seems like he's got a specific place with his deep voice but I just wanted to add he's one of the best dancers in stray kids too with Lee know and Hyunjin
So true, people often forgets that Felix is the best of all of them when it comes to footwork. Like, they're all talented obvi, but Felix is hands down the best when it comes to footwork.

Yes Leeknow was a backup dancer so he's got experience but that doesn't make him better , they have different dance styles but they're amazing dancers and they teach eachother moves .

And in the beginning of Stray Kids, Lino was the ONLY on who was teaching the others dance, and he's still the one that leads the dance practices. He's also the one that worked with Hyungin day and night to help him get better. Gelix is the weakest of the three but that's OK because he's still better than most kpop idols. Every single professional dancer who has watched them all dance together says the same thing. Lee Know has the best technique and all of his moves are exact. Hyungin catches the eye more because he actually over-dances aka he add a lotmore personality and energy to everything he does, which is OK, but its also very exhausting and why he is always the most worn out and drenched in sweat by the end. (He also just sweats alot lol) Whereas Felix, he under dances. He cuts moves off to early and doesn't really use technique to its fullest. However he's graceful because of that. So no his footwork isn't the beat, but it just feels smoother because he doesn't follow the moves through all the way. Anyone, this definitely shouldn't be an argument. We should appreciate them for what they are, not what they aren't. Lee Know is the most advanced and technical dancer who loves to teach and let shine. (In other words he loves putting the other two front and center and himself at the back. He wants them to have the attention they deserve) Hyungin is energetic and eye-catching. Powerful in his movements. And Felix is graceful and smooth. He's simply enchanting to watch dance. That's what matters. And I adore you all for loving them so much!
Actually in Oddinary (and now Maxident too but your comment is from before lol) They had one of the most even line distributions seen in Kpop. You should look it up! I think he may have still been one of least, if not the least, used voices of all of them. But it was only by a few percent. And that's understandable honestly... They are still developing his upper register. They can use his deeper register only so much without ruining what it does best, which is him coming in at the exact right moments with it. So for him to be used as often as anyone else, most of it has to be in his mid to upper register to do so. Which they had already done in Oddinary. I think perhaps they may have just missed alot of it? Maybe because it just didn't "sound like him"?? Lol Because yeah, according to the studies done on Oddinary, he was used ALMOST as much as the others.. With the biggest gap, between most and least used, being i think somewhere around 10% throughout the whole album. (And now, with Maxident, the WHOLE album is within just a couple % difference between most and least used.) Of course my point is that you had already gotten your wish! Lol They used him a LOT more in that album than ever before. 😊
This is the type of rap Felix fits the most, the 90's hip hop vibes, the delivery, the lyrics (content), the rhyme scheme, definetly his best verse, i also love his verses in "Maze Of Memories" but here he wrote his entire verse, so in this song we can see him in his full.
Rewatching your reaction, I decided to write a few words about Felix, because you said that you thought the label was using him as a deep voice guy. in fact, it was already written here that Bang Chan himself chose the members of the group, and this was something new for the k-pop industry. but the whole point is that during the survival show Felix was actually eliminated from the group, even though he had a feature in the form of a deep voice. he is an excellent dancer, raps well enough for a lead rapper and even sings (this year he has really improved in singing with his high voice). he was eliminated due to the fact that he knew Korean very poorly. Felix learned a lot of language in parallel with training, but he simply did not have time to do everything at once, so he flew out immediately when he made a mistake in choreography during a street performance and did not improve his pronunciation enough. but he tried very hard to come back, and together with Lee Know they debuted as part of Stray Kids. Even after his debut, he didn't get very many lines because of his Korean (I always imagine myself in his place. I don't think I could rap perfectly in English even if I became fluent. just because, practicing pronunciation, my russian accent always comes out of nowhere lmao). Now that he is pretty fluent, he is given a lot more lines, so we can see how his abilities are revealed (apart from dancing, of course. he was a great dancer on a par with Lee Know from the very beginning, and Lee Know is generally a professional dancer who was engaged in choreographies long before the debut), and I believe that the company does not use him as a guy with a deep voice. anyway, Stays definitely love him for more than that. He's so talented, and I wish I could be as talented as him hahaha!
Felix is not only the Sunshine of this group, the cuddle bug of the group, the tiktoker of the group, baker of the group, but he dances, can play the piano, rap like no other, but he is now singing some as he has been taking classes(Hyunjin says he has a honey voice), but he also comes up with a lot of the ideas for the preview videos before the albums come out. Like the so bad monster and the Oddinary trailers all came to be because of an idea that started with our Bbookie

9:04 The members get their english skills from Felix and Bang chan mostly, and they both have an Aussie accent so they tend to pick up the accent while learning. Especially Han, he has more of a British accent when he speaks English. Muddy Water was started with Felix, then he brought it to Changbin and Han and created with Hyunjin as well. Felix said that it's about the new generation (them/skz) are like the rain washing out the old generation (the mud) and that's why the line Han said "Look how he's raising his head....I'm in charge of cleaning today" meaning that they are here to wash out the old to be the New.
Considering your affection for Bin, it make make you happy to know that it was his idea to do an old-school boom bap like this. And you probably already knew this, but since this is a unit track, each of them wrote their own parts.
I think the thing about Felix was that during his debut days JP kicked him out, told him he wasn't good enough (mostly his Korean) and he's had a confidence issue for awhile now. But with the kids help, especially Binnie, he's slowly pushing his boundaries. They've worked on music together so he can learn the process, learn how to produce. He's getting there, he's just going at his own pace 😜 XD
Muddy Water is one of my all-time favorite SKZ songs. The combination of the four distinctly different rap voices/styles is MAGIC. Felix - deep. raspy and growly rap Hyunjin - sexy, lazy rap Changbin - aggressive rap Han - a fast current of rap that carries the listener along I NEED MORE SONGS from this Muddy Water unit.
It's hard to image Stray Kids without Felix. He was chosen by Chan because he and the rest of 3racha knew that his voice was so special and would put an iconic and unique stamp on all their music. At least I. My case I don't know if I would be a Stay if it wasn't for Felix catching my attention in God's Menu.
Pretty much all of SKZ are highly talented in music, and they've each been credited with at least a handful of songs in the KOMCA credit lists. There've been several songs, like Maze of Memories, where they each wrote their own part, but they work together so well you'd think it was all done by one writer. Chan's hinted a few times that Felix is working on some singles of his own, and that they'll come out on SKZ record eventually!
Felix actually almost didn't debut with the rest of the team, he was kicked out just after hellevator was released (i think) because the CEO of their company, JYP, thought that he had little stage presence and confidence as a result of not being able to rap his line well since he was still learning Korean :)

just wanna say felix is basically a member of danceracha meaning he's a choreographer as well. he made himself majority of the moves in side effect's for example. With hyunjin and lee know they have contribued on a bunch of the group's title tracks. Lee know did a lot for hellavator's choreo. Hyunjin created all the choreos for his solo performances play with fire and when the party is over. As a dancer myself i can tell they're the 4th gen's dance gem. Highly recommend u to watch "stray kids dancer's analysis [the breakdown]" she made videos for each ones of danceracha members if you're interested to know more so yeah we maybe don't see them often on rap parts bc they were busy dvp skills in another field ; )

The group was hand picked by Bang Chan. Their company, JYP, let him build his own group. They produce and write everything and have a lot of creative control. Felix can do it all but they like him on bridges and special moments because of his sound. Hyunjin had zero experience when he was recruited. He had to learn dance, singing and rapping. He now considered one of the best performers in his generation of Kpop and one of the best dancers in Kpop.
