Well yes, up until that point he was the alpha THEN Irex became the alpha and for that the previous one had to be killed aka Owen had to die.... It just sucks that they really thought they could hide her part raptor from them specially when Owen who happens to be the raptor guy is the one who is on the field with the Raptors and with the Irex

They never turned against owen or "got a new alpha", it is because they started firing that the raptors started attacking the soliders and that is also why they never killed owen, they were looking at him waiting for his command after the communication with the indominus rex.

@@jacobroxborough664 First of only 1 of the raptors snarled, 2nd snarling is normal for raptors, they snarled at indominus rex to communicate with it, 3rd if it is a clear sign of betrayal blue would have instantly attacked owen once she saw em in the next scene.

Movies do not have real soldiers. In real life they would always have a security element. They'd be running thermal or NVG also. With IR laser not the visible stuff here.

Wouldn't matter anyway, at the raptor's speed and with an obstructed view, guns were useless. It's like trying to take down a knife attacker within sprint distance. You're not gonna be able to react before they're right on top of you. They should've hold position in an open area, or al least NOT wander into the tall grass with raptors hunting them.

What I don’t understand is why they didn’t use NVGs for a Night/Spec-Ops Operation. Trillions of dollars being poured into one dinosaur, you’d think they have the top notch equipment as well for recontainment procedures. The NVGs would have especially been useful against the raptors.

The whole JP franchise can be summarized in cutting corners and greed. Those are the main reasons why almost everything happens. They probably didn't expect needing to hunt a mutant dino in the dark, so why should the "waste" the money? Give the security team some military surplus guns and call it a day.

I suspect these guys are using 7.62x51 NATO ammo and maybe a 60 mm RPG. Why I can't imagine since they aren't going to stop a Rex. They might have used .50 cal or an armour-piercing rocket. Hell, use a standard big game cartridge such as the .416 Rigby, .425 Westley Richards, .404 Jefferey, .450 Nitro Express, .470 Nitro Express, .500 Nitro Express, and .577 Nitro Express. Some of these come with exploding penetrating tips.These guys might as well be using popguns.

They knew the Raptors turned at this point, Command shoulda pulled them out instead proceeding further to move in after they opened Fire on the I Rex, and they shoulda waited until every civilian is off the island and then maybe radio for the Air Force to come in and take out the I Rex, but nah if they considered that option then they would’ve never figured out the T Rex Solution!

Beginning of the clip answers your question. Owen had the raptors smell the tracking beacon to pick the scent up, then had them run loose to follow the trail to where the I-Rex was.

Totally unrealistic! Raptors cant be tamed in real life!, i know its a movie but movies like Jp1 2 and 3 showed real dinosaur behavior! It felt that i was seeing Real dinosaurs in real life and that scared me when i was a kid. This movie is nothing like the first jurasic movies im disappointed. Whats next? Talking dinosaurs? 😒

Raptors could absolutely be trained in real life, we train large intelligent predators all the time. It’s actually more unrealistic that zoos wouldn’t habituate and train an animal to some degree.
