There are technically rarer mounts, like old feast top 100 pvp mounts, but they aren't included in lalachievements due to them no longer being obtainable, same for a ton of titles as well
@@dystasiaThis! The lalachievements and Ffxiv collect people whined about this so they changed the rankings. Ranked mounts are a joke, total mounts matter (except for cash shop).

I think they're all soloable now it's possible to Solo Grimclaw as Paladin at Level 80 with Augmented Cryptlurker with 24 Materias and Cryptlurker Earrings with 24 Materia you might be able to do it before that too but that depends on your luck and skill in avoiding his Vampire Ability. @@PCarllos
Triceratops and Victor are much harder to obtain because they each only have one specific type of S-Ranks and A-Ranks that count towards their achievement. Centario Tiger has 6: ARR, HW, SB, ShB, EW and now DT. The best comparison is drinking a medium size cup with a coffee straw vs drinking a large cup with a slurpee straw
There was a super rare mount in wow that you only got by spotting an exceptionally rare portal that could appear almost anywhere in that expansions zones at any time. It spawned roughly once a week iirc and only those who happened to see and click on it and then kill the boss inside got the mount. I got it by accident before I even knew what it was. I just saw the portal and clicked. Now everyone hates me when I mount it.
Meanwhile old FFXI players like me that played original FF14 have the tattoo still and legacy chocobo mount have a mount so rare, it's not even on this list.

Not including the pvp feast mounts since theyre not in the game anymore The top rarest mounts currently are Victor - triceratops - Pteranodon- astrope - wivre - centurio tiger Ive got all except Victor, that ugly dog feels extremely lackluster, and after triceratops and centurio...i have hunt burn-out

Astrope is probably the most diffcult to obtain. According to Lalaachievements as of this post. Victor : 4418 added patch 6.0 Pteranodon : 6421 added patch 5.21 Astrope : 6893 added patch 3.33 In terms of time in the game to how many exist in the game it far outweighs any obtainable mount.
@@---tq3pt I have both and I can safely say that Astrope was easier to obtain than the hunt mounts x.x Because you get to choose how many mentor roulettes you want to do and are only limited by how much you're willing to do. With hunting, you have very little say and are always on edge, camped out at the aetheryte hoping to make it in time and potentially still failing because someone doesn't want to wait longer than 2mins. Also if we're being honest, 40 percent of mentor roulettes are guildhests, which are fairly simple to do
@@cherrydragon3120 It wouldn't be so bad if these mounts were lifetime achievement awards that you eventually get but with hunt mounts for example, they just keep adding a new one every expansion lol at least with Astrope and Pteradon it's a one and done
Funny, Victor isn’t a privilege mount in my region because of super organised hunt. The marks of your own world maybe limited, and make this achievement longer, but what if all the worlds in a DC organise together to share as much information as possible to make their world’s marks accessible to everyone? You have 8 times the amount of marks.
Behemoth Hunt trains are on schedule every day of you are in a place you can transfer to us. Our hunt train conductors are the best. It's only a matter of showing up to get those A ranks done.
Bro the rarest mount every time is the pvp chair as they didn't inform anyone it was going to be a reward and only the top 100 I believe from each data center received it. Absolutely bullshit btw because the chair was literally from a piece of the story so it shouldn't have been locked behind pvp, much less without any knowledge of it being a possible reward, AND the people that got it, did it by cheating the system the way it worked back then once you hit a rank you could essentially keep that rank easily, allowing the top rankers to cheese this mount, sorry Ive just been pissed about this mount forever since I wanted it before it was even a mount.
I got physically hurt doing a fraction of the botanist requirement fir that pterodactyl mount when I was ranking in ishgard restoration. No way I could physically handle getting it.
And here I am…. With all the mounts mentioned. I play this game to collect all the mounts, that is my only purpose in this game now. 😂 (been playing since 1.0)
False: there have been mounts specifically for the winners of "the feast" all of them have to be rarer each, if not even combined Edit: for feast season 20 it was top 100 per data center so far fewer than anything you mentioned
pteradon is the only mount I want a insane amount but know I can never try and get it because it will ultimately ruin my sanity and make me dislike the game and I have almost 30k hours into ffxiv I aint gonna do the one piece of content that could make me hate the game just cause of how boring and grindy it is. Also the "rarest" mount you said is one that is only rare atm it will be more common in the next expansion.
Remember that those are just steam numbers. There's actually more people with the mounts... im not sure what the ratio is between steam and mog players
@@sweetpotato556 Faloop and discord is the best place for calls. Hunt linkshells help a lot for relays too. I mostly use faloop so I can see which/what marks are ready to spawn. If there's marks you want that are fully ready to spawn, camp at the aetheryte and be prepared to beat the queue. My favourite is if there's maintenance in the game, all spawn windows will reset to 0 and after 2 days, all windows open and ready to spawn. We call this “S Rank Day” and it's the most hectic day for us extreme hunters. Also keep an eye out for multiple instances. Each instance has its own mark so it will double or triple the amount you can hunt. Plus the instances in all the world servers in your data center. That's a lot! Hope this helps. I'm very bad at explaining sometimes.. ^^; let me know if you have any more questions :D
@@sweetpotato556 yeah if you're not a spawner then camp, have faloop open, be in a cwls that has relays. alternatively, become a hunt spawner bc spawning means you dont risk missing them. it's not for everyone though. it takes a lot of time and gets tedious sometimes.

Remember running palace of the dead a couple years ago with a group and we got to I think floor 180 when the chimeras spawn and we all got one shot even though we all talked about the mechanics before going on lol like 5 hours straight wasted and when we went back to cash in our bags I got the black Pegasus mount drop like right off that get go and was pretty hyped to say the least still one of my favorite ffxiv memory and mounts
Unless it takes pure actual skill I'm not impressed by most things, anyone can sink tons of time. The PVP top 100 mounts are for sure going to be the rarest and an actual flex compared to everything else. I don't think theres many other mounts that require that in this game, majority of the content is more down to memory of mechanics afterall.
