I enjoy your Chanel, I’m 68 retired up in the Boise valley, where I grew up. My ancestors were from the Monroe area, but because they were sheep men the had to find places to graze there growing bands of sheep to the came to Idaho around 1900 to have greater spaces to graze. Eventually the switch to cattle around 1940 and ranched in the Salmon Idaho area. My father moved his family to the Boise valley and out of Ranching. 10 years ago my two sons and me were at Semantic and on the way home traveled places in southern Utah. We’re Brigham young had sent my ancestors. Very interesting area. It’s different than Idaho. (Less people) someday I might travel through your area to check things out. Keep up the good work!

Once again we should all pay tribute to the "Diva of Editing", Michelle, for going through hours of video and cutting them down into a story line that makes sense in less than 30 minutes. That is a rare talent in these days of record-and-paste-to -tube stuff we see all the time.

The Elevated guys, with their knowledge and ability, saved a insane amount of time. People who just watch videos, and have no experience doing plumbing on a custom item cannot imagine the time and mental energy that is needed to be able to plumb something like that. And to pull it off in a day and a half is insanely amazing. No idea on cost but I am sure it is worth every penny. Awesome. SOO... Are you gonna drive this over to Matts and show him what a finished truck looks like? ;)

As always, editing by Michelle is top notch and fabrication by all the guys is an absolute pleasure to watch. My question is how many feet of tubing did the 'hose crew' install?!!!!! Between boom hydraulics, tranny lines, steering lines and brake lines (did I miss anything?), there was a lot to plumb! Super impressive!

I love all the build and repair videos, but I just connect so much when you are working on the tow truck. I just know your dad is in the shop with his boys just smiling and being proud of everything you all do. Some may see that as just "some old truck" but that rig has alot of heart, memories and Cox family history! I've still got my dad's 1978 C10 that he had my whole life. We worked on it off and on as I was growing up. He passed away 12 years ago this past July and the last thing I was able to do for him, before he got to sick was pull the blown 305 out and drop in a 355. It tickled him to death to be able to drive it again for a short time. I've had it put up in our old barn for years now. It's just been really hard for me to get it out without my best friend riding in it with me. 💔 There is a video of it running a few years ago on my channel.. Thank you all for sharing your lives with the rest of us! God Bless you all!!!

My first 'REAL' job after I got out of the Navy was running the machine shop at a independent Auto Parts store. We relined brakes on big trucks, rebuilt engines, resurfaced heads AND made custom hoses. It was a lot of fun and I worked with some very good people. Good times. Hats off to these guys at Elevated Service and Supply. They saved you a week of time there. Absolutely the way to go.

My Dad, RIP, would have really enjoyed watching this wrecker fabrication. He worked in the logging industry and in the winter was the time to R&R the equipment like the heel boom loader (P&H mostly) he operated as well as the dozers that got tore up pulling logs in the woods. The belly plates on D8 and 46A dozers needed the dents straightened out so he designed and built a hydraulic press (120 ton? if I remember what he said) that could be tilted from vertical to horizontal. The mechanics could then press the belly plates back straight with the hydraulic press horizontal and the the plates supported vertically by the overhead crane. He was really proud when the hydraulic press manufacturer heard about his modification and sent several of their engineers to view his work.

I've gone to putting every part that may or may not be part of a project put into a box in that projects trunk or occasionally just sitting nearby. Losing parts and pieces has gone down to almost 0% of the time now. It's still a hassle looking through the box on occasion but, I've yet to lose a piece now.
