I've seen a fair few rats in my time having worked on farms and in a scrap yard, and I hate the bloody things. I saw the biggest one I've seen in a long while in my garden the other day whilst clearing undergrowth. I threw my billhook at the bastard (I killed one from about 30 feet away by throwing a lump hammer at it once, so worth a try!) but missed by a few inches. I think I know where they are feeding (under our fruit trees on windfalls) but not sure where they are nesting. Just ordered 5x mk4 Fenn traps - let battle commence!
+motohunter Thanks! Rats are active throughout the day, but because they are such good survivors they are more cautious, so have to be tempted out a little😄
Ловушка неплохая: смерть крысы была быстрой, хотя и болезненной, к сожалению! Поэтому хорошей я эту ловушку не назову! Хочется ещё гуманнее - ведь нет предела совершенству!😁
Damm the sound of it, poor thing, shouldve let it go in the wild........so a fucking bear or fox would tear this MF in half or eat it piece by piece alive😂😂....nice vid bro
Thats brutal but so cool how the trap flung up! Meanwhile I just seta non-lethal cage trap to get them cos I can hear them squeakin and that in my walls and outside. I have caught 5, but they are everywhere, and invisible in the day. Good vid anyway!
Anonymous Unknown The rules on young persons and air rifles are stricter than thise for shotguns believe it or not, but that aside, there are a whole host of decent rifles depending upon price. Hatsan do some relatively good quality air rifles at a decent price but there are much better. You would be better calling into your local gunshop where you can look, see and handle, as well as getting sound advice.
+MomanSLM Mmmm.....yes and no! Shooting them is easy and good fun, trapping them takes a little more thought and more of the hunter gatherer. I did think at one point "why don't I shoot the little fecker" On a serious note though, trapping is great fun, and it interesting to see what really happens, as against just finding a dead animal a few hours later.
+enginemaker The Fenn occasionally does that depending upon the size of the animal, the speed it crosses the gin, and its head position. Its one of the reasons that they are looking at replacing it for stoats.
@@freedomofabird I'm not criticizing negatively. It is just my own reaction when the trap caught the animal. A regular trap might be worse because so many rats get loose from them after getting bashed on the head or a broken limb, etc. The trap in your video works at least. If I were to use it for Mr/Mrs Rat I would have to look at it so I would use it because I now know it is fast and keeps the critter dead.
Убивать крыс, защищаясь от их присутсвия - это нормально. Наслаждаться жестокостью убийства - извращённая психика. Мне бы очень не хотелось пересечься в жизни с автором видео и большинством комментаторов!😂
It's disease ridden rats that carry fatal diseases!!! But to answer you question yes it was rather funny!! They are clever animals but definitely not engineers😂😂
Always good to see a dead rat, but this trap cover is easily turned over by non targeted species (cat/dog) and can still be accessed by hedgehogs. I much prefer your restricted box as used on the stoat. All in all, I love your videos, but these covers don't work for me as a regular trap user (fenn 4 and 6) as they are too accessible. Looking at your other videos you can see I have liked them (i'm not an anti!), but this one I'm sorry to say gets a down vote from me.
Ive shot and injured some before, and they get back under the shed to die a terrible agonising death. This way they never get away and are dead in a few of seconds.
phototristan u give a fuck about the sound, the point is the fucking rodent is dead, lets not get so technical here, its not some photography competition !!!!
