As we face the world of uncertainty every day, we hope for the best outcome, i.e. we hope to be lucky. But could we rationalize luck? This talk is on the human endeavour to rationalize luck by quantifying it, and to use information to take advantage of it, especially on a type of deterministic system that exhibits randomness via chaos.
Lock Yue is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Physics and Applied Physics, School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Nanyang Technological University.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

What if, we are the A.I and the problem is soon to come… 20.000 more years.. For options, you need creativity or the ability to create, which experience give you different possibilities of mixing options and have more imagination and therefor, creativity. We are just a type of cell… organism trespassing information. The way ppl react, is the way ppl imagine. What is the real meaning of randomness?? There is really something as infinite? If you have always another possibility, then there is always another level of possibility and the 100% is not possible. As, everything we know is calculated, and the things we don’t know are the ones we can’t calculate, yet… the things and possibility will always be 1. There is 1 thing that create us or finally came from. We are all the same, and 1.

Random inability to predict due to chaos. A butterfly in Singapore might cause a hurricane. Interesting hypothesis. 🤔😉

Why the heck you don't have enough empathy to understand why he sound so nervous? There are questions we'd never have answers for, and that's ok.
