Check out the e-flite t-28 trojan here: bit.ly/3LJMQDi The RC Smart Plane you should have in your collection in our opinion is the E-Flite T-28 Trojan warbird plane. This RC warbird is one of our favorite flyers and it changes so much from a 3s to a 4s battery. It really wakes up on 4s power! We highly recommend this rc airplane. question, if I have the transmitter that come with aeroscout (the big one) will I be able to use that for this plane or does it require a different transmitter?
@@jamespeake7296 ah the beauty of Spektrum! As an experiment I just bound my DXE TX from my Aeroscout to my Trojan, works fine. If you want to have SAFE Select enabled you need to follow the instructions on pages 9 & 10 of the manual to get in SAFE mode AND assign the flight mode switch as the SAFE toggle.
I maidened my brand new T-28 Trojan 1.1m today and it is EVERY bit as good as you two said it would be. Something that I found really cool is the crazy whooshing sound that it makes as the air passes through the engine cowling. It makes low turning passes even more awesome.
Well done Abby. I know what you mean about preferred direction of landing. At my club we have two runways and depending on wind direction we have to come into land over a hedge which is frankly terrifying for me.
Abby Abby she's our girl. . . . . .if she cant do it, NO ONE CANNNNNN!!! GOOOOOOOOOO ABBYYYYYYYYYY. . . . .🙆♀️📻🛩. Abby????? I would love to see you fly a U.S. NAVY F-14 TOMCAT, like in the movie Top Gun. I would also like tonsee ya fly the WWII fighter plane. . . .P-51D MUSTANG!!! Both are my most favorite military birds. God bless ya'll. Thanks for sharing this video with us. Its awesome & job well done for Abby the pilot & Nate the camera crew!!!
I don't blink either , you are not the only one Abby . And not ALL plaines make you nervous !! The ARROW SCOUT You Rock.... Right? I think so anyways...
The more I watch you and Nate fly it makes me want to go out and buy a plane and give it a whirl. I’m usually just a basher RC enthusiast, but want to try something new. What would you guys recommend for my first plane/EDF?
I am so proud of you abby. I am the same way I am afarid to fly but my husband is trying to teach me and he is so sweet towards me saying I can do it. How did you get over your anxiety... It's so scary but I want to learn.,
Honestly just forcing myself to get up and do it is the only way! It sounds like you have an encouraging husband, which is a MASSIVE plus and he should be able to help a lot. But focus on the fun in the moment and not the "what ifs" but the "what is" and enjoy it no matter what happens! Have Fun and you can do it!! 😁⚓
I tried my new 4S batteries in my Trojan last weekend, selling my 3S batteries this weekend - don't need them any more! Flies much better on 4S and is both more balanced and stable with the extra weight.
Great job abby! The next flight all I want is for you to have fun And have the confidence to know you can do it. I understand how anxiety can hold you back, but that feeling of overcoming your anxiety is so rewarding and (for me) a giant weight off my shoulders.
Is there a list some where that has the local RC airplane events for 2022? Maybe listed by state or region? Thanks for all of the great vids and sharing your RC collection with us.
Impressive flying Abby!...I agree -Warbirds are tricky to fly and land in the wind...I like to land them on the grass instead of concrete for that reason. Take care and happy landings!
As a new flyer myself, I think it would be an awesome video to do a beginner and maiden flight video showing and explaining physically trimming out a plane and showing the trim buttons and what they actual do and the effects.
If you think we push you Abbyaviator it's because we want to see 👀 you fly more. To challenge yourself, build your confidence & skill level. To fly the friendly R.C. skies. You flew great, and I enjoyed the one bounce landing 😀. So was Popeye🐶 in line behind Amelia❓. Nate DEFINITELY push yourself more on your camera 📷 work 😁🤭🤭. Fun day. ⚓⚓👍💜💛💚👍⚓⚓.
I think black stripes would look nice and not out of place on the bottom of the wings. Maybe some grass ops next time for those of us who are limited to grass runways? Thanks.
Wait until she’s 11… My daughter is 11 and it’s crazy how she is turning into young teen……. Ahhhhhhhh…. My son is turning 15……. It is emotional for sure. So use to them being young and easy going… Love the channel !!!
LOVE this PLANE!! PROPS to ABBY for another AWESOME flight!! Where's the female pilot in cockpit..eh, eh!! I BLINK a lot...but I do stop BREATHING!! AND that's just THINKING about flying!! GREAT SHOW SAYLORS and thanks!! Happy Birthday AMELIA!! 💟👍😘
That was a fantastic flight in what looked and sounded like a good wind. I would love to see you do a video on programming the T28 into the radio you used. I have the T28 and the nx6 and have had a difficult time setting it up. 🙃
Another excellent video! RE flying into or with the wind... As I understand it, this makes a difference only on takeoffs and landings where motion relative to the ground is important. Once airborne, the plane flies relative to the air..it no longer 'feels' the wind. It will climb or descend the same in any direction (although its speed relative to the ground will still change).
For the most part, head wind or tail wind mostly matters on takeoffs and landings, yes. However if you are flying with the wind and are throttled too low, you can stall much easier than if you were flying into the wind. Although you are moving faster, the wind is not moving over your wing to provide lift 👍😁😎⚓
@@TheRcSaylors I'm not getting it... Unless I'm missing something... Do this... Fly with the wind... find the throttle setting where the plane is flying level. Now turn 180 deg and fly against the wind and fly level...it will be the same throttle setting... the plane will still fly level at the same throttle setting. Thus, reducing the throttle to stall speed is the same throttle setting in both directions. Granted, your speed relative to the ground differs in each direction but the amnt of throttle to avoid stall/fly level is the same in both directions.
I have a flight challenge for you. Step out of your comfort zone and turn off SAFE on the T-28. You can fly it with 3S or 4S. Take off and land in SAFE if you want, but do the flight with no SAFE. My wife learned how to fly last year, I got her to be able to comfortably fly without SAFE this year. She is learning how to loop and roll, if she messes up, she has SAFE.
No! It’s not that we like to see you squirm. It’s fun to watch you discover how much fun you can have. It’s like when the new guy at the flying club has his first solo. We all remember how fun it was for us.
Great flight Aebi! And next time whitout eny flight controller like gyro or so? Try first on a glider whit Thermik, there you will have time and see what's going on whit the plain. For me it was verry existing to learn flying by gliders first. Still have not flowing my 6s jet know, beacoase I have not the wing man like you on my side. Best wishes from Swiss Alps
While we would love to demonstrate that, we really don't want to encourage others to do anything out of LoS. AMA encourages everyone to keep all things within LoS flying 👍😁😎⚓
@@TheRcSaylors I completely understand, however I feel that the FAA and AMA have very antiquated rules regarding FPV. If my airplane goes down I have the GPS Coordinates in my goggles and they are being recorded. I also have the GPS Coordinates on my transmitter as well as a Google Earth map display on my transmitter . All of this on a transmitter that costs less than even a low end spectrum unit. Is this segment of the hobby has advanced a great deal, to bad the rules haven't kept up
I only say this due to the position we are in. Our personally beliefs and our "public beliefs" might not always match up if you know what I mean. We will ALWAYS promote flying as safe as possible on our channel 😉⚓
I have both and the Carbon Cub is easier to fly than the T-28. The AeroScout is even easier to fly and mine is faster and sportier than the Cub. But the T-28 is more fun than both. But I don't think I would recommend the T-28 as a beginner plane. It's definitely an intermediate plane.
Hey guys aim trying to ho back and see older videos. I'm trying to find 2 ready to go trucks for them. I know there was one recently that was from Amazon and a great price. Coukd you reccomend anything for them
Good job with your flight! I struggled flying on a futaba four channel transmitter (no dual rates or expo) for 30 plus years as it was all I could afford. I'd challenge you to fly an entire flight on expert with no "safe" or dual rates or expo on and see how you do. In other words, take the safety net away. I think you will surprise yourself.
I've been watching them for a while and I'm pretty sure she's been flying for approximately 8 years. I think she may have taken a break or had a setback because of a couple crashes though.
@@aragorn318 I do understand that. The gentleman asked how long she's been flying so I replied with the time that I thought she had been flying but I don't think it was consistent I think there was a break in the 8 years.
Roughly eight years or so, off and on. Very very casually and usually only one or two batteries when she does get out to fly. She loves bashing ground vehicles and I (Nate) love flying planes so usually I do most of the flying when we do go out. Totally by choice though. I always strongly encourage Abby to fly, and usually she will once or twice to keep the rust from building up 👍😁😎⚓
