Duncan, you don't need to apologise for your shelves, taking time to recover and regroup, or anything else. We love your channel and your views and insights on books. Do videos when you can and want to. Other than that, there's no pressure or expectations. You do what's best for you and keep this as a fun hobby. No pressure, no expectations, and certainly no obligations. We just love to hear from you whenever it's good for you. Take care and much love as always

Interesting thoughts and cool to see an honest video. I don't usually lose much interest in reading per se but I often take long breaks from making videos when I don't feel up to it. I like your shelves. I have random gardening tools on my nature selves with seed packets and I've vaguely decided to not picked them up because they fit haha. Glad to have found your channel and also love the channel name btw.

Thanks for the lovely comment. I think with anything we love to do, no matter what there will always be lulls. I think that's whay I question if there is such a thing as a reading slump, more than likely it's just the ups and downs of normal life.

Totally agree with not pushing or forcing it mate. This happens to me often and I tend to start reading in smaller blocks of 25-30 mins and bookend it with other things. What has also helped me previously is just to give myself a really easy goal each day like 20 pages and tackle it early with a brew.

I'm hoping this week to get some routine back which hopefully will help. If not i'll just go and watch The Six Million Dollar Man!

You know what I find weird? Why is it that sometimes I have a slump because life is chaotic, and other times reading gets better because life is chaotic and books are the only escape from the crazy? Does the type of chaos make any difference? I can't figure that out

That's interesting as thinking about it in the past I have read more in more chaos. As you say maybe it\sthe type of chaos.
