Motivational Monday Week 28 The Reading Song from Newington CPS Happy Monday! It’s amazing what you can find when you search for songs about books on RU-vid. I didn’t even know there was a World Book Day! I’m dedicating this week to what I have named the Future Book Writers of the World group which meets at Grounds Bakery every Sunday. So Ken and Judy, please share this with the group! If you know me, you know I love to read. I try to always have a book on hand because it’s something I make time for every day. For me, reading is enjoyable, helps relieve my stress and relaxes me. You also know I love to talk with people and I am very passionate when sharing something I enjoy. Over the weekend I took advantage of an opportunity I noticed while being “present” in my life. I literally barged into the private conference room where the book writing group was meeting to show them a book I had just finished. I told them it was the best book I had ever read and I considered the story to be creative, whimsical and wonderful. I am grateful they were interested in what I shared and several wrote the title down. A few even thanked me for sharing it when they left. Sharing the book with this group was an opportunity I chose to act upon. I could have easily gone about my day and not shared it with them. Being that they are all writing books, I thought they might be interested in hearing about one I felt was unusual and creative. It may even provide help or ideas for someone. Have you done anything this week out of the ordinary while making an effort to be more present? I would love to hear about it.
