Parts cars/abandoned projects like that are a great source of parts, they often come with a few bits of rare equipment or rare options that you can use, and selling off the unused parts can help recoup some money - which can be figured into the total cost.
Great vid man i was wondering the 9000ish you just pend is that CAD or USD? anyhow it still seems kinda cheap for what you got done when compared to the stuff im looking at, which seems kinda weird because im dutch so you would expect alot more bmw's here then in the us.
+Wahjoost that is CAD prices, so like $10 USD lol...more like $6000 USD right now. It takes some patiences and I've got some friends who have been very good to me with helping on the project. It makes it much more manageable cost wise.
The dashboard is where you saved money. The wooden trim pieces are a bitch to find. If anyone knows where I can find replacement wooden dash trim pieces for a 73 3.0cs I would be interested. I grew up with this gem in my fathers garage. I used to be dropped to school in a red 3.0cs with bbs rims and tan leather interior.
What ever's on sale really. I like nitro gloves though because it feels like I'm not wearing gloves. On the heavy stuff that I'm worried about cutting up my hands I tend to lean towards mechanix gloves.
Too funny wtf does the tools have to do with building the car . It’s like saying I dug a hole to get the rocks to remove the iron ore then melt it down to make steel then make the machines to make the cars from the factory, then make to tools to build the car and so on . Maybe get some common sense and logic
+Lincoln Kuwabara thanks Lincoln, what would you like to see more of? To be fair, I can't begin building the e9 back up until it's stripped down and I prep the parts I need to start, and if there's someone better than me to do it, I'd rather learn from them :)
