For once that was actually a cool prop bet, so many on this show are likely to just have people roll their eyes at you or slap you because it's won on a silly technicality but that was actually interesting and someone might buy a round for seeing it.
I got scammed, apparently, in NYC early 90s. Was offered tickets to a club we wanted to give a go anyhow, so...for 10 us dollars, back then...that was still cheaper than cover and a drink-which was also part of it. We showed up, but we had spoken and become friendly with bouncer in line, and even though we were sold fakes, they honored it anyhow. We went back the next night, and next time we visited. Plus? It was a guy that swindled it with my 2 male friends and I.
The shop scam, you could call the boss straight back and run it past him again. At worst, he'll say, yeah, I already said, pay the girl, what's wrong with you, in which case you can say yeah, well, you know me I'm a bit fussy with these things and you know what I'm like, I'll sort her out. In this case, he'll be very concerned and say pay her nothing, you did the right thing, thank fuck you called me before paying her.
If their recognized they probably abort the scam and try again later. Besides even though they were hugely popular there is almost definitely a large amount of people who don't know them. Also I think that in some of the later scams they began using disguises, especially when dealing with large amounts of people.
30 minutes later? Jeez they're really good at picking muppets. What they should have done is booked three bands and had them all waiting together. Three times the stuff and if one band waited half an hour they'd probabaly have been there all day..
You should have figured that out when it was aired about 7 years ago. they have always use The real hustle or TRH for all their companies since 2006 :)
Huh? What do you mean? My point is that they're famous. They've been on primetime TV for years in "The Real Hustle" as well as various other TV shows. You'd expect them to be surrounded by people asking for their autographs. Instead, nobody ever recognises them! How is that possible? It's not as if they're wearing disguises or something. They're instantly recognisable - and yet they can walk into bars, hotels, shops etc without anyone recognising them from TV.
Probably best that band got robbed. Shitty band like that doesn't need to make people's ears bleed anyway. Especially with a front man looking like that...
