So many things I love about this video man. Beautifully shot, well edited, but MOST importantly a good and realistic story. This doesn't glorify the small perks of working in tech but instead gives real insight into the work Ashwin does and into Ashwin himself.
This video feels like it was produced by those big YT channels like "60 minutes" that produce documentaries. The quality, of the delivery of messages is top-notch.
The amount of work behind this video is fascinating. Camera work, lighting and colouring is just brilliant. Ashwin, I'm so happy to see you in this place. This video is so realistic because Ashwin has given a pure and unbiased perspective. It is very real and warming. Kudos to the entire team. Bring about more such videos. ❤️❤️❤️
now THIS is something i would expect from a day in the life of a software engineer, this is valuable information that the other big tech company procrastinators do not provide at all. Thanks a lot for your video.
Most people think about passion when choosing work but sometimes you need to do what is necessary. Surving for yourself or providing for your family could be huge motivators for working long hours and doing jobs you don't like all for the sake of financial security. Plus the safety net is always there because after a couple years of experience, you become highly sought out after even if you lose were to lose your job.
This man is so real. People spend a lot of time chasing fairytale ideas about finding their "dream job" and the "perfect career" Your career is only ONE part of your life - passion from your job isn't a necessity but money is. Some people are fortunate enough to be fulfilled by their career but other people will be fulfilled in other areas, and that's okay. Spend time thinking about the lifestyle you want.
Generally when I see "Life of a Software Engineer" type names, only filled with office cafeteria view, some break time view, some odc view all that. The word you put "REAL" caught my eyes and really I am not disappoint. The lines you said I think 80% SWE from India can relate. You literally showed the REAL us and Finally the video quality is really good shots are perfect. Hope to see some more content from you in future.
This is great Rahil. I appreciate your honesty and too many people lie and make up stories about how they ended up in tech and it was a miracle, etc. This is what we do to provide for our families and in the process we learn to love it and become attached to our work and the success of our company. Praying for you Rahil.
the first video ever , about the real life of a software engineer, well portrayed , thanks man, for sharing and all the best, in your future endeavors. God bless !!
Brilliant video. Great work on the camera and rhe editing and the final output. Congratulations Rahil. On the content bit, Ashwin, fantastic job. Your mathaji sure is proud if you, and I am sure your dad too is proud of you. You are blessed with lovely parents. Your hard work and dedication and your humility and frank nature are your strengths. May God bless you abundantly, and our sincere blessings for you to reach great heights. Take care Ashwin, have fun.
Excellent video. Ashwin was completely open and focused exactly on what a viewer is expecting vs those fancy "Day in a Life of" videos which talk nothing about work except a breakfast protein shake at home - then the second breakfast at work followed by the N food choices during lunch / supper at the cafe - gym workout for an hour - 4th snack of the day and then head back home.
Appreciate you saying the truth. Plenty of engineers from middle class families find a software job cause it pays you more. They may or may like it completely but are here for the money. I would recommend this video to all those who lie to themselves about them liking what they do.
Finally, something close to the real experiences of software engineers! Refreshingly honest, down to earth, pragmatic, and balanced-thank you! Well done, Rahil, and best of luck to Ashwin!
I loved the video ♥️ but I prefer a more personal and day in a life style/on the work rather than cinematographic and formal. I can see how much work was put in the video and I really enjoyed it ☺️
Thank you for the honesty and totally understand where you are coming from, hope you stick around for future projects and let me know if there is something that you are interested in!
Nate! Thank you man for staying tuned even after two years of me not uploading I really appreciate it! Also hope your doing well in life and also in your filmmaking journey.
Hi bro ! I'm lokesh , i'm also from tamilnadu😊 now i'm pursuing computer science engineering 2 year . Your are big inspiration !.."i'm proud of you" and i would like work with abroad, definitely one day i will acchive in my life. now i'm learning academic courses and also online courses like full stack development . If you want to any help to me please guide which way i should go to the software field 😇
No matter how talented you are no matter how rich you are.. always remember DO NOT WORK FOR COMPANY WORK FOR YOURSELF nor DO NOT EVER THINK COMPANY IS DEPENDING ON YOU ITS FALSE COMPANY NEVER DEPEND ON ANYONE IF NOT YOU SOMEONE ELSE .. keep this in mind from day -1 of your career. when recession comes even you work for 15-20 yrs.. your login will be revoked in minutes.
Great video man, enjoyed it! Truly encapsulates the kinds of pressure on the everyday software engineer and what drives them. Can't wait to see more from you. Would be nice to see more videos regarding software engineering paths one could take.
Beautifully shot video man! I Was just curious, what path did you take to be able to finally stay in the US? I mean is there any specific advice to be able to get a job in the US? Thanks man!
Hey Wilson, thank you for watching! Im not the subject of the video but I would say if you are interested in becoming a software engineer there are many options to learn either thru traditional schooling or self learning. If you can find a way to get some experience thru internships or small jobs this will help a lot. Best of luck!
Hey i cannot find your work portfolio like Linkedin seems like it does not give any info on your education and work Exps. Can you give some insights on that as well? Thanks
Hello Rahil bro , Roshan here , currently persuading Btech IT at PSG College of Technology. Iam blank that what should I do to get a good job , can you give me a roadmap bro ?!
Good question, Ive played around with chat gpt and at least for the realm of backend services that Ive worked I think currently the code/information it provides is not correct. Its hard to say in the future the next iterations of this product possibly can start automating certain roles.
I have a lite bit knowledge of python language, can I be eligible for Amazon. I do not have time to complete the course , just now finished college. I can study the course during the job did I have any chance to get the job.
Bro I need personal advice from you. Actually i got degree from Management. But in USA IT is the best field. I want to learn Software engineering. What do you suggest for beginner?
@@kdkaravita3634 Actually the link has a read me on it, but will put a more clearer link to it, from there i think you can read thru to see the outline it provides github.com/ossu/computer-science#intro-cs
HI thank you for Video it was very helpful for me . I would like to study IT . what would you like to suggest me ? like what subject do I take ? Thank you
For interviews I use Python due to its brevity, but depending on the professional or personal work this can vary. Since i've mostly been in the backend side ive used mostly Java, Scala, Python, and Shellscript.
Im not the subject but can give some basic advice. I think GPA is not a major requirement, as this metric can vary between schools, degrees etc. I think what matters more is your experience (internships and relevant projects) and your interview skills based on the quality of practice rather than sheer quantity of questions. Best of luck
I like the video, it's not like those stupid videos showing people just doing nothing and chilling in a big company. That's not the real life of a dev.
Hii Bro i am very happy to watch this video quality of video is was awesome and i need your help i did not come from computer science background i am really scared recently i started my coding journey but i am scared what i do🙏
Hi Nikhil, thank you for watching the video I appreciate it. At least for me I think it took me 2 years to feel "comfortable" in my cs degree and definitely found most classes difficult. Best thing you can do is stick with it for sometime and surround yourself with people who are helpful.
Hi sir iam from Arunachal Pradesh,,iam 16 year old,,,i am science student,,i have interest in making apps and games( i don't know how to buy i will learn) sir do u think it's a good choice to learn ??
