St. Julian’s is a seaside town in Malta. It’s known for beaches like Balluta Bay, a rocky stretch with a promenade and restaurants. Bars and nightclubs line the streets of Paceville, an area south of St. George’s Bay Beach. Spinola Bay has traditional fishing boats, plus Spinola Palace, a baroque mansion with a carved clock centrepiece on its facade. Portomaso Bay is home to a marina and luxury boutiques.
Sliema is a resort town on the east coast of the Mediterranean island of Malta. The waterfront features a long promenade and the 18th-century polygonal Fort Tigné in the south. To the north, St. Julian’s Tower is a 17th-century watchtower and battery. The baroque-inspired Stella Maris Church dates from the 1850s. On tiny Manoel Island is the star-shaped Fort Manoel, built by the Knights of St. John.
Saint Julian's is a popular holiday spot on the coast of Malta. The small town successfully blends its fishing village charm with its tourist centre.

My dad was in Malta in the RAF during the war and he had accommodation in St John's St in Valletta ( No 18 IIRC ) - the building was bombed whilst he was there and he was injured. My wife and I went to Malta in the 1980's and found the building where my dad had accommodation - it was still there with new building works built upon the old remains of the ground floor. We are in our early 70's now and won't be going again but I wanted to see where he was in the war and where he was injured. He also caught malaria whilst in Malta and we somewhere have the Telegram ( remember those ) my mum received saying he was seriously ill and might not survive - but he did. We stayed in Hotel Preluna on Sliema sea front in the 80's - I see it's still there on checking today. My dad was a bit of a photographer and I have many wartime 127 ( and 620 I think ??? - is that a real film format ) film negatives he took of the wartime in Malta. I bought a negative scanner years ago to see them in greater detail on my computer. Good to see your recording and I notice you have a Valletta one too which I will look at.

My mother is from Silema,I have been many times too Malta and all around Silema and the island. It's changed over the years though. Good video keep it going on Videos of Malta,great too see!!!

@@AP-iy9ho I've been to Monaco and to Sliema (I went in November last year), and I'd say it's more like Las Vegas feel to Syria feel in 15 minutes, while tramping over a construction site in Delhi. It's completely unwalkable, full of hazards, overcrowded and it's just a construction site, really. A 16-year old might find it cool. I am stupid because I visited there. However, the maker of this video is very skilled at making places like St Julians look nice which really are deeply unpleasant, sleazy, corrupt and dangerous.

@@AP-iy9ho You misspelled "kindergarten spewfest". It's only dangerous because there are construction reinforcement rods sticking out of the ground, construction vehicles everywhere, construction dangers overhead, broken manhole covers and holes in the ground, and no actual pavement to walk on, on most of the roads. Not much like the Wild West. More like Delhi.
