Without question! Shame on Andy and Bravo executives for their discriminatory practices against NeNe and the other ladies of color. I hope she's able to receive full compensation along with an apology, followed by reinstatement on RHOA, or her own show.
Absolutely, but she was also responsible for the ratings slipping too. Her last season had fans completely tiring of her antics and her diva mentality. There wasn't one cast member that year, that she didn't attack, disrespect and treat badly. Making Atlanta housewives number one for so many years, could have been her legacy, but instead, NeNe has become the poster child for what NOT TO DO, when you're on top of the world and you let your ego get the best of you!!
Thanks Bethany for having Nene on your show. Never seen her so comfortable, real and vulnerable as she is at this moment. Wishing her all the best in her new life.
@@bethennyfrankel Absolutely! You were ALWAYS the best! So real true to who you are. And issues with mom. I COMPLETELY get. I’m thinking they affect us because their role is so truly so essential in many ways. Im sure you see raising Brin. How different we as mother’s ourselves are ❤️ We’re normal and will make things right ❤️
I would love to see them two in a RV, damn in a closet together…. Imagine how funny and entertaining, cannot believe any company would turn this down….. absolutely wild!!
The only way we would be getting a truth is if both sides of the argument were involved in this conversation. Let's keep it real, there is a bit of a disgruntled worker bias going on right now, that's not really proportionately representative of the now over 150 housewives (not including additional bravo talent) - most of whom are no longer even associated with the network, and would be able to talk without repercussion. Second, the income these women generated in a couple short years is equivalent to SEVERAL LIFETIMES of working class income - the bulk of the population who face far more problematic working conditions and experience a far lower quality of life/health as a result. The real reason these women like Nene stuck around for so long is because this gig is better than literally any other in today's job market comparatively. Come on people - this is not where worker reform needs prioritization right now!
@@bethennyfrankel would love to see you interview Kelly Dodd & Rick as they are not afraid to say what’s on their mind, unlike most other housewives who have their heads so far up Andy’s butt, they would NEVER say what they REALLY feel in an interview, they will just LIE just to be & stay in his good graces, except for Kelly & you Bethany of course & that’s why i love you both!👏👏😍😍
Ne Ne deserves her OWN SHOW! That is what she earned and wants. She is great television. Millions stopped watching RHOA when she left. I definitely did.
Her (Nene) and Tamar had the worse attitude they wanted to have the attention all the time on them they a little better because they have come down financially but we they had finance you couldn't tell them nothing, and Nene let that man come right in and take her money Oh let's not forget Quan she another one
Nene is the type to yell from the rooftops to keep it real, but when people keep it real with her, she goes into victim mode. She also forgets to mention that she came for Kandi in Season 2 and tried to get Cynthia fired from the show. Nene can't look at herself objectively. She was a nightmare towards the end, and the other cast members know it. She still can't keep Cynthia and Kandi out her mouth.
I met Nene at a Meet & Greet in Nashville and she was SO sweet, we actually ended up ending the conversation and walking away because we felt bad for the line behind us. She genuinely wanted to know everyone who came to see her ❤
@@itsthehumor95 no i saw her show and she decided to stay after to meet anyone who wanted to meet her, most people charge extra for that and she actually didn’t lol
I LOVE BETHANYS STYLE OF INTERVIEWING! She really cuts to the chase and ask detailed questions while pulling detailed answers from her guests. Also if a person gives a vague answer, she doesn’t let it go until she gets a CLEAR answer! Loved NeNe’s transparency as well! Great interview!
Nene get out of your head! The people love you and your star power is unmatched. Give us the vlogs, podcasts, fashion buy reviews, a nice lil closet sale, interviews, if you cook give us that too.. All of it!! The people will support 💕💕
She pioneered a lot of things that bravo and many other networks now use!! She created the “Reunion” and get zero created for it she also picked Andy to be the host of it Andy worked in the offices of bravo behind the scene.. not on the scene like he is..NeNe basically made him a Ryan Secrest
@@AdjustedCrownyes she gave away all her ideas for free, is why she thought she was above everyone else until they showed her she was just an employee. Where Nene messed up she sued and ran her mouth to the wrong people about the wrong things. She should have moved in silence. Now she is blackballed. Bethany fix the same but Bethany is white abc her money is long. She will still be able to work. I wish Nene would let it go and continue in the industry where she can cause being back on Bravo is dead.
Nene is really such a talented storyteller. I don’t even think she fully realizes it, but her authenticity and delivery is really really good. She also still seems really normal and somewhat level after all the stuff. I’m happy for her, I wish more high level things for her because she’s entertaining.
Nene is, has always been, will always be authentically fascinating. I can’t wait to see what she does next. I had no idea Bethany was out here interviewing like this!!
As someone who’s husband died from cancer last year, hearing nene talk about the closet scene breaks my heart. I can definitely understand what she was going through that day. They were dead wrong.
My condolences to you, but Nene's behavior that day was uncalled for. Listen, making excuses for Leakes is wrong...she was and still is her own worst enemy.
@@Shaywilson34 Agreed, but that's just the tip of the iceberg of why she was let go.....listen, nobody and I mean nobody is out here trying to defend NeNe and how bad they were treated by her....that in itself speaks volume. Those that want her back, need ratings and a paycheck
nah her behavior was called for for how she felt. Don't disrespect people and expect them to have a controlled response you sound like a karen@@gayleholmes9081
@@gayleholmes9081 well my comment was about that day, that incident. As someone who went through what she went through, and also lost her husband. I will “defend” her actions that day. There have been plenty of days where the tiniest thing would set me off when I was watching my husband fight cancer. So again, in THIS incident, they were in the wrong not her. Especially when she told what was going on and they still made her film.
Every time Bethenny does a housewives interview, I end up shocked by how much I come away with such admiration, respect, empathy and grace for women who eventually became some of my least favorite HWs in the franchise. Bethenny has a way of allowing them to reveal the true side of themselves that we could not enjoy during their housewife tenure. I now realize that much of their toxic behaviors were induced by the toxic environment Bravo created. I actually feel ashamed for judging both Jill and Nene as harshly as I eventually did. I swear, Bethenny is the HW whisperer. I just pray that she never gets an epiphany to interview Erica Gerardi, Lisa Rinna, Kelly Bensimon , or Teresa Guidice because I'm fully invested in always disliking them, lol.
I love that Nene is bringing up the racial disparity because as someone who’s black, as a community that is black that has watched all of these franchises and have noticed the differences in treatment and has noticed Andy’s direct treatment in interviews, on the show …etc with Women of color. Thank you Bethenny + Thank you NeNe. This interview is so important and impactful.
Both of these remarkable women played pivotal roles and bore the primary responsibility for the tremendous success of their respective franchises. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these ladies for the cherished memories they've provided; your contributions are truly valued and appreciated.
I loved this interview...Even more than Carlos King's (& I loved that 1). The fact that they got past the MEAT of it all & showed us the BONE...2 grown women despite the cultural background or differences coming together to discuss the commonality of what they experienced. & I ABSOLUTELY LOVED how Bethany showed up for NeNe like a big sister & said YOU GOT THIS GIRL... DO IT YOURSELF. ❤
Absolutely agree! Bethany did what Bethany does- cut to the chase. So you’re suing them? Nene, it’s considered a complaint. Come on BONE! 🦴 tell us what really happened. Glad NeNe can tell her truth now and stand on it especially after being blacklisted. Yes get your own podcast and stop appearing on others- ask for help Ne! Too many people around you are successful at it! You can be too 🎉
I hollered when NeNe said," Teresa can go to prison for 10 years and they will wait until she gets back." As an Atlanta native, I love NeNe. Black women are the most unprotected and disrespected group of people in society. That's what makes us resilient and strong.
I digress my Dear Lady. Black women not being protected, have made most of us wear the "Strong Black Woman" cape, while Trauma has messed a good amount of us. We had to be resilient and strong from the time our ancestors (females) were raped and beating by the Master. I have totally dropped the Stong Black woman facade I carried around for years.
Nene will forever be my favorite. She brought the housewives on the map for me, she’s why I started watching the franchise. No one can ever take her place and I’m soooo happy to see her winning ❤
I love Nene describing her life journey ❤️ Then her description of meeting Kim 😂 hilarious! Kim chewing her gum with her cigarette was perfect 😄 Kim reminds me of a 1960s or 70s housewife, what a throwback! So great❤so authentic, great interview! Just like 2 girlfriends talking about life & we get all the answers to questions we had back in the day 👏👏👏
Really JUICY!!!! Bethenny was really spilling about how they run the machine and when nene peddling around about Andy talking about the women behind their backs. Also nene said production tried to tell her “she wasn’t happy” but she then told Bethenny she was complaining every season… which one is it nene? cause it sounds like you were unhappy
Ne Ne we hear Exactly what’s being said , it’s still going on , for Centuries!!! What’s in the dark will come to the light!!! God said last will be first and first will be last The last will be first, and the first last” (Matthew 20:16). And Ne Ne also use work so hard promoting the RHOA , she was the show , because they didn’t know how to go get the brown girls to help make the show , and keep the rating up .. Did anyone get use? I just wondering?
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 This was fantastic. As a Black woman who has worked behind the scenes in this industry listening to Nene, I know EXACTLY jow she feels and what's going on. I've never cried so hard watching a podcast. Nene you are remarkable. Its sad that the other sistas on the show didnt do the right thing and stand by you. Had they of done that you wouldnt be in this position either. When it comes to our community strength in numbers do the most work. Nene is obviously been Blacklisted due to her attempts to recieve equal pay and equal treatment. Tale as old as time. Bethenney who has also been my favorite housewife kudos to her for being a true ally. Black women need more Bethenneys in this world. B you did the damn thing. Absolutely phenomenal. Why not start your own B strong network. Id pay double of what I pay for peacock streaming. Anyhow! I hope this is a catalyst for Nene to move forward with her own brand because we 1000000000% have her back.
Agreed as a mixed black man formerly in the industry, I can attest to exactly what she is saying. I don’t feel it’s the same anymore but we had to change what our younger counterparts get now. It’s nothing like we had to suffer anymore but we did it , with stride and pride. It may exist still but not how it was coming up in the 2013’s !
Wow lol. RHOA is one of the problems for the community you speak of. That's a show for pure bafoonery and entertainment having modern liberal Black women act a fool. There is absolutely nothing strengthening about that.
I've been waiting for this visual and you two did not disappoint. I'm so happy people are allowing Nene a platform to speak and that's she's in a calmer place to talk about everything. I'm hoping for a HUGE comeback for her.
OMG! The end? When NeNe said you would be powerful together and then embraced Bethenny? No joke, I instantly burst into tears of hope, was totally taken by surprise by the emotion that moment caused! Excellent interview! Would also like to add that this podcast felt like 30 mins long and satisfied very well indeed.
I was over the housewives a long time ago, but this was a great interview. I stopped for what I thought would be a minute and stayed for the whole interview.
I love Bethenny she’s a strong and wise businesswoman. I felt like she gave NENE motivation and support during this interview. I hope NENE will be able to get through this.
Nene is one of the best to ever do it. This is a great interview so far and I’m only at the beginning. I like that it’s more personal and not just silly surface level.
We’ve always loved you NeNe ! The show hasn’t been the same since you left. I stopped watching the show two seasons ago because it’s not the same without you
The fact that she discussed Kim in this interview and not one negative thing was said, shows just how un real these shows are. She didn't show an ounce of hate towards the women that she has been seen "fighting" with. Love her or hate her, she is entertaining, and that is undeniable. Anything she is in would be amazing! I wish the best for her.
This was one of the best interviews I have seen in a while!!! You girls together can make a lot of changes, not just in the entertainment industry but in the real world!!! You need to do more together!!! Love you both and stand strong as you both always do!!! ❤️ ❤
Good for you Ne Ne!!! Tell the truth on Bravo! I respect how you’re exposing Bravo and comparing the differences they make between the black and white Housewives Franchise. Hugs 🤗
Much respect to Bethenny the business woman👑. After watching the interview I have so much admiration for you. Thank you for giving Nene the opportunity to speak her truth. ❤
I have always loved Ne Ne. She is an amazing spirit and I'm wishing her nothing but good vibes for her future. I am hoping that doors will open. Bethenny, thank you for bringing her on the show.
Finally!! I’ve been waiting for this episode. The thought of you and Nene on a road trip makes me laugh!!!! I’m glad she went on the show and was able to discuss racism without being attacked. Thank you both!
Bethenny, I’m a 77 yr old wife and mom and grand mom. I adore you. I watched you with Martha and thought you should have won. And actually you did. You are an amazingly smart and touchingly kind person. Your kindness forward Nene was just what she needed. I love how you always try to move your guests to a better place. You deserve the best life ever and I think you have that now. Love you dear Bethenny
I was a little taken back by Bethany interview skills but once I understood the assignment I wasn't mad! Bethany asked all the questions we wanted to know and was not biased! That was refreshing to see! Bethany might be the real new deal in reporting and journalism! Some what abrasive but effective!
Bethenny come on.. all networks have friends and such at other networks that do control who is working and not. It’s not that hard of a concept. Just finished the episode. Great job ladies!!! I was glued the entire 2.5 hours and I would love and support nene podcast or anything she does next!
Thank you. Idk why it’s hard for some people to believe. All the network Executives have a relationship. Either way, Nene has a following. Instead of going on multiple shows and crying she should have her own Podcast and products. There’s no excuse to not have a business.
This Interview pasted together soooo many things that didn’t make sense at the time! Nene’s interview was eye opening and amazing! I adored how vulnerable & transparent she was! She looks amazing! I pray that she finds love & work ! Bethanny Love u to pieces… love love love u!!! In my mind we are sisters!
Seeing women who went through adversity as girls and who had to develop strength now use it for good is inspiring. We all have a purpose. They are equipped to stand up and create change. The irony is Bethany and Nene are bravo’s karma. They are powerful together. I am rooting for Nene and for her to make a comeback. She deserves it.
NeNe does not deserve a comeback. She treated her cast mates like IT, she got the ego and the ego got her. Its sickens me to see her whine about a once in a lifetime opportunity she and her black cast mates were given and it was NeNe that crapped all over it. She made her bed and she needs to lie in it and shut up whining about it.
@@gayleholmes9081 I disagree with you. She does deserve a comeback we all do. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. We all get humbled and it makes us better people. Nene has been through a lot. I hope she thrives.
Thank you Bethany! I have watched and admired you for many years. This was one of the best interviews I have ever seen. I came away with a much deeper understanding of NeNe and the underlying issues surrounding Real Housewives and reality television. I am sure I have much more to learn, but now at least I know I need to! These are very important, deep, societal issues that need to be looked at and discussed. More please 🙏. I would like to hear from many perspectives, whether or not I agree with them. The world is changing very fast. Change is necessary to grow. Again, I thank you 😊 ❤ Fran, Staten Island, New York
Hi Bethany! That’s a tough question. There are so many pressing issues. I think we need more information about education, specifically about how our government works. We seem to have a generation of citizens who are completely ignorant about democracy, government, citizenship etc. I think the school curriculum had changed and it was no longer required for a high school diploma. I am not certain of this. It is a supposition. Given the fact that you have a school age daughter … Any thoughts? Fran
I wasn’t show how this would go since Bethany & Nene are both tough women. This was a very enlightening interview/conversation. Great job ladies. I love the advice Bethany gave Nene to do her own thing and let the audience be the judge.❤️❤️
*WoW! what a POWERFUL interview. Thank you Nene & Bethenny for being so open & honest. Bravo isn't what it was a few years ago, so much has changed. I believe a lot of the The Real Housewives shows are coming to an end. If you get the opportunity to launch 'The Nene & Bethenny RV Adventures" I will be your biggest fan and I know it will be almost as BIG as Skinny Girl.*
Nene needs a better agent and team to represent her. She needs to find a really intelligent agent that can speak for her so she can just do what she loves, which is be an actress. I’m rooting for her! 😊
And a PR team to protect her. The only problem is most of them are vultures, so they would use her too. She needs to have Bethany be her manager. She’s amazing!!!!
I will always stan Bethenny and Nene for being the top queens who brought Bravo to the table to change the power struggle. Love love love these amazing women!!!
WOW! This was 2 and a half hours!?!? and i sat through the whole thing without even realizing.NENE IS RIGHT!!! I JUST WATCHED 2 AND A HALF HOURS OF HER AND I WANT MORE! she is a talent and she deserves better. start a podcast now. the people want Nene! also wow, never seen this podcast before... Betheny attacks a conversation like a sabretooth tiger and its incredible. subscribed. this was fantastic and REALLY captured my attention. WOW!
Nene made Bravo what it is today. The Housewives honestly became way more interesting when she came on. She is naturally good on camera and I think she would be dynamic with her own platform. I hope she gets on RU-vid and creates her own show. You don’t need these Networks. They’re all outdated anyway. Be well Nene ❤
We love you Nene! Don’t get it twisted!! You are an icon in so many ways- more importantly- you’re just a really cool human and that’s a great thing ! As one poster said - if you do it - we’ll be there!! Thank you for sharing this time together and Bethany is definitely the right person to start with! She has your back Nene and so do we!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Bethany, why do you need a production company to do a show with Nene? Make your own and do you! I would totally be here for it! You and Nene are amazing and a show with you two together would be a hit, just keep it 100! No more of this 75- 82% crap!
Yes they could pay for the production (filming), but shows require backing, distribution, sponsorship etc; you really can't do it alone. Also, Bethenny isn't being entirely honest, and talk is cheap ... from the look on NeNe's face when she brought it up, something tells me that Bethenny has yet to make any official offer/pitch to NeNe or her people. The truth is NeNe is now a liability, and a lot of people would be afraid to work with her for fear that she would sue them too.
@@Jsarmy87124 there is no doubt they both would. Although they would be the ones in control. Between their talent and business sense they would be laughing at Bravo all the way to the bank.
More. Please. Women united. Thank you. Long overdue!! Kudos to you both. And thanks Bethenny for sharing your scale/reach. Thank you Nene for your bravery and truth! It’s happening!
I totally understand what NENE is saying. 100%. I'm a white Canadian woman, I have no lived experience like NeNe but I BELIEVE NeNe. Bravo is dirty. Thank you Bethenny and NeNe!!!! # Truth
As a Sagittarius I agree and she's always been my favorite! She is so beautiful and fun, her energy just radiates. I love when she can be her authentic self.
In an era of heightened awareness about social justice issues, we often see individuals, regardless of their racial background, using social media platforms to express support for the Black community. While these messages of solidarity are certainly important, it's essential to recognize that true allyship for Black people goes far beyond a simple social media post. It involves concrete actions, empathy, and a commitment to dismantling systemic racism. Thank you Bethenny for doing more than making a post!
Nene has undeniable star power and qualities. Nene and Bethany have always been my two favorite housewives. They really really need to do something together!!! I know i speak for many when I say that I wouldn't miss a single episode. Such a great podcast episode. Kudos to Nene for having the strength to speak up about these issues with Bravo.
Bethenny is an astute businesswoman who, right from the outset, skillfully negotiated a Real Housewives (RH) contract that enabled her to leverage their platform for brand promotion, all while securing 100% ownership of her profits. If NeNe were to consider a return to RHOA under a new contract, it would be prudent for her to seek out capable professionals who can adeptly negotiate the terms she needs to succeed.
This is by far the best interview I have seen with Ne Ne it is so inspiring the two of them have so much in common bethany is asking her all the right Questions and been very honest about what dos Ne Ne Need we haven't seen Nene for so long and she really was her self hope to see more of her in the near future
Took me 3 days to watch it all but glad I did. NeNe was the reason I watched housewives for the very first time only about a year ago and you are the only reason I watched another franchise. There’s so much I could say but in short, I love you both and your evolution over the years and happy you’re both using your voices for a better future for all.
I had no idea her aunt passed the year before Greg did. Her mindset and frustrations makes perfect sense. She put her whole life on the show, while dealing with the hardest battles and she can’t even get a conversation?? And then y’all go into her closet! Nope not ok
So happy Bethenny has this platform for people going through injustice, like the awesome Nene, is able to be heard by the public. Hopefully justice will come soon for Nene and the wicked in the industry be brought forward to stop them from doing this to anyone else.
The first show I was introduced to was Atlanta and Nene was a standout to me. It’s clear a lot of the criticism she received was by a lot of tone policing, backwards, narrow-minded individuals that had it in there minds that Nene(a strong, confident, vivacious and personable) character was someone to fear. No one dared to check their biases because all Nene really wanted to do was shine.
First of all, this long format is the BEST. Gives extensive information & allows listeners to pause & return as they can. Thank you. I appreciate hearing what Nene had to say. AGAIN, all of you have been an enjoyable part of the last many, many years of tv for me. I have asked these questions for years. Thank you for doing this.
I loved and hated this interview all at once. Nene did amazing... she really reflects the black woman’s experience even in Corporate America. Bethenny was good. I just wish she would hold space to hear her guest more instead of speaking over them. She was cutting off a lot of Nene’s really amazing points. Also, it’s OK to call out that her experience would be different because she’s a black woman. And can we stop asking black women to humble themselves!
This is the comment I was looking for. I like Bethanny, but she kept cutting Nene off. By the end, anyone would feel tired trying to keep up. It could be a North (high energy) vs. South (more laid back) thing, but Bethanny kept telling her story instead of really listening to Nene's experiences.
Bethenny overtalks and interrupts all the time. I actually felt that she wasn’t as bad this interview, probably because Nene is such a force lmao. Love them both.
I side with Nene about the black/white violence on the housewife's franchise. The fact that LISA RINNA threw a wine glass and broke it and glass shattered everywhere and could have blinded someone, and the fact she actually reached across the table to STRANGLE Kim Richards, and she did NOT GET FIRED??? That right there was SPECIAL PRIVILIDGE. P.s. I am white.
PS, NeNe is black and like it or not, she should know better. Instead of taking advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity to gather wealth and access, she crapped all over everybody and expected to be rewarded for it....ww can pull that it, off, we can not....even after a nose job, blonde hair and light make up, she's still a woman of color, something she seems to forget.
I agree. Some people we’re definitely treated unfairly and I do think color had everything to do with it. Teresa has gotten away with so much. I wish cast complained about this years ago but they didn’t and it went on forever it seems. I am also older white person.
Oh yea! I forgot about her too! Yes, she was quite violent also. I never watched that franchise, but I saw clips of it. I agree, the black women were unfairly treated. I was really bummed out when Monique went after Candance, cuz I preferred Monique over Candance, she just seemed like a BRAT.@@missiris1234
Ramona did the same thing to that former model (the blonde/Jewish one) and she (the model) was actually cut the in the face while she was holding onto a row boat and fully submerged in water!!!! I felt bad for her and the producers gave 0 f's.
@@memedicine1 Does Porsha ring a bell? L:isten, NeNe isn't being black balled for violence, she crapped all over everyone and is now paying the price for it....the fact she can't get pass her own blame is her fault.
I believe everything Nene is saying. The entertainment industry doesn't want Black people to get ahead. Whether it's a tv show fighting for better treatment and better pay or blocked from buying a network like Tyler Perry and Byron Allen trying to buy BET, BET+ and VH1.
I watched this whole interview and I'm so glad NeNe did this interview. This is the NeNe that I've always admired. Seeing this helps to have a true understanding of who she is. Praying for you NeNe; don't let them break you. Start your own stuff; whether it's a Podcast or RU-vid show called "It's Just Me, NeNe." Lots of people will watch. Make your own lane and I bet they come looking for you......
Great interview. Bethany is great at this. I pray healing over Nene. I can here the pain in her voice. No one is perfect. And she too will overcome this chapter in her life. We live and we learn. I'm glad all the issues were addressed. Self accountability is very important for growth. Great interview. I would love to see the show with these two. Ebony & Ivory.
The duo I didn’t know I needed. Both of you ladies should be proud of all that you’ve done in your careers and lives, and I hope there’s a budding friendship out of this because you two have a powerful dynamic!
This is the most emotional, best interview ever! The two of you complemented one another all too well! Nene was always my favorite on The RHOA! Best wishes to Bethany as well. You were my favorite on The RHONY, as a native Queens New Yorker!❤❤😁🤷🏾♀️😎
