I have some things to add!!! No, his flesh did NOT get marred by the fingers, his model actually doesn’t even have any traces of frenzy at all, its all in the armour, he doesn’t even have frenzied eyes (anymore), and besides, the most important detail was his return to non frenzy, his gaol version has the fingerprint armour still, but no frenzy, which clearly points to the fact that he is the current vyke

So, technically, vyke didn't actually get burned, only his armour. Vyke didn't have a frenzied finger maiden (Like how we have hyetta) to tell him to take off his armour, so instead of inheriting the flame, he just kinda doesn't, and he loses his maiden anyway

Vyke is probably the reason Morgott hates tarnished. It's clearly Vyke saw the Thorns - so Morgott allowed him to go to the Erdtree, and then Vyke contacted the Frenzied flame - no Morgott's seal blocked the path. And Vyke's downfall and becoming something that is clear danger to the Erdtree Morgott was deeply disappointed and made his goal to kill all tarnished who wants to become a lord, because even the most noble of them succumbed to the flames of ambition.

Black knife tiche was nearly at the level to defeat the eldin beast, was specifically training to beat it, when black knife died that's why that summon works so well on fighting the eldin beast. Black knife style and ability was perfected for killing the eldin beast.

I’m pretty sure knight Bernahl was also pretty close to becoming elden lord he’s the npc to reach farum azula besides Alexander and his armor description says the armor was created for tarnished fit as a lord or it could’ve been his brothers armor since he talks about that before leaving volcano manor

The common assumption is that he wasn't *Influenced* by his Maiden, he was desparate to protect his Maiden from needing to be sacrificed. If Vyke, like us, had to burn the Erdtree in order to access it and become Elden Lord, it would require one to sacrifice their maiden to the Giants forge, like we do. EXCEPT, for the Frenzied Flame ending, where the FF itself is a fire that can burn the Erdtree, so the player would then use themselves as kindling for the Forge to burn. That is currently a loophole in the ER story, where you can get the FF, Melina will abandon you, sacrifice yourself to the Forge, and then use the Unalloyed Gold Needle at the Plecidusax boss room to undo the FF, but Melina won't come back.

Yes Except you missed one last fact about Vyke, he is found in an evergaol in the mountaintops of the giants, here he does not use madness spells but wears the fingerprint armor, implying that after Vyke was taken by the frenzied flame, he freed himself from it! (its a bummer our tarnished can only leave him in prison or slay him, but although he fell from grace, he managed to conquer an outer god)

Maybe I'm thinking too much about it, and I could be missing some things since I don't know much about the lore, but I always found it odd/interesting that Vyke's armor has finger tips on the front, but, taking into consideration how we receive the frenzied flame, the marks should be on its back, which make me think that maybe he was trying to get away from the three fingers, and also implies that he didn't take off his armor to inherit the frenzied flame.

I like to think that the reason why Vyke is imprisoned is because he knew what would happen if a vessel of the frenzied flame took the throne and out of options he decided the only solution would be to locked away and used as proving challenge to his successor

Vike sought the frenzied flame in order to save his Maiden from the fate of burning at the giants flame. And his body wasn’t scorched, only his armor was, which is why he was conscious enough to lock himself in an evergoal, after his maiden took her own life

Technically, Vyke never properly received the Flame of Frenzy due to his slight overlook that he had to take his armor off to receive said fingerprints. Only our character is able to get that mark.

It is my theory and firm belief that Madness and the Frenzied flame only hurts as you accept it, and not to summon afterward. The pain you hear in your character's voice is terror and dread induced by life, and the torment they experience by living. The Frenzied Flame bursts forth from that despair, and lands on its target, conveying its cursed understanding to said target.

Actually his flesh wasnt marred and that is one of the theories as to why he didnt become Elden Lord. He half assed his dedication to the Frenzied Flame. Thats why when we do it we are fully naked but clearly Vyke did it with his armor still on.

But Vyke never truly succumbed to the Three Fingers control. The armour which he wore warded off the control of the Three Fingers and only made Vyke mad. This is why the Three Fingers now require you to remove all armour before entering, so they won't repeat this mistake

The fingerprint grape is also his leftceye Hecwent in the Camber of the Fingers with his armor he wasn t able to gain the full Flame qnd i believe wuth his last shred of self he contained himself in the lords eyerglow to keep everyone save like any tragic hero

Vyke’s flesh was possibly not marked by the burn, as he refused to remove his armor before entering the chamber of the three fingers. This also indicates that he didn’t fully trust the three fingers and the flame of frenzy, as he wasn’t willing to go into the chamber unprotected. Perhaps Vyke only embraced the three fingers in an effort to spare his maiden a death by kindling.

So I did say “Vyke’s flesh was POSSIBLY not burned.” Either way, the player is explicitly told to enter the chamber of the three fingers without their armor equipped (nude). Vyke chose to go in with his armor. Further implying that he did not go into the chamber out of conviction (he didn’t BELIEVE that the flame of frenzy was the morally correct path) rather, he distrusted the three fingers, but had an ulterior motive. Saving his maiden.
