Ah yes the 右丸左丸 is an age old technique and the only record of samurai doing house chores. It was actually forbidden by women who cooked to take part in the ritual, as they had already spent their energy and could not wash the dishes with all of their heart. Heat-tech really does feel revolutionary… but also… central heating would be nice in the average Japanese apartment. @yami2227
@yami2227 2 года назад
He probably has permanent visa status due to his marriage, the residency thing takes a maximum of 10 years from what I heard but I can't be sure since the Japanese immigration system is convoluted.
@vladivanovic1234
@vladivanovic1234 2 года назад
@@yami2227 convulsed it is. If your on a spouse visa you need to wait till your granted a 3 or 5 year spouse visa before you can apply for Permanent Residency. To get a 3 or 5 year spouse visa, they will give you one year visa for a few years, no matter how long you’ve been married… so it takes at least 4 years till your eligible to apply. The other route is point based via highly skilled foreigner, which they give out 3 and 5 year visas for highly skilled right away, then after a year of being that you can apply. So a total of one and a bit years but a higher bar of entry because it’s points based. Then the hot tip I got from immigration is that if your highly skilled, are married and then have kids in Japan, they treat your application differently so it’s not just based on points but other merits as well, so there’s a higher chance you get it. It took me 2 years living in Japan the second time to get it using the highly skilled method and I had been married for a total of 6 years at that point. But I definitely got lucky according to some other foreigners I know.

Do you need that system in a country where the lowest temperature in mid-November is 10 degrees Celsius (58 degrees Fahrenheit)? It was days that 86 degrees Fahrenheit until three weeks ago. Then it gets hot again in April. It only takes two months for the temperature to drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit in most areas. Would you spend 4 million yen ($40,000) in a country where we can wear layers and be fine? 70% of the areas here have about 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) for more than 6 months. And in Hokkaido, the coldest island in Japan, there is central heating.

Aw man…. understanding and relating to most of these… does this mean I’ve been in Japan too long? It in all honesty though, when I go back, it’s like a switch in my head, I’m right back to speeding, running yellow lights, talking to strangers at 7-Eleven, eating fast food everyday, and buying “salmon teriyaki bowls”…. Oh… and CRANKING MY STEREO UP TO 12 WHEN I TAKE A SHOWER.
