It was a PG society then. Today, we are an R rated society where the first casket would be used for immoral greed of the few with the many being insulted by it. The only thing we take with us to the grave is our personality and the legend we build during our lifetimes. I believe the JFK Family did what was best for the personality and legend of JFK to survive forever.

I seen a video here on YT a short while back of his brother RFK in a recorded phone call with Johnson and he was blatantly out right accusing him of having his brother killed sometime before his own assassination... and there was also another one that was showing the possiblity of Bush Sr being involved in the incident as well and the reason being was it said that for some unknown reason that he had no recollection or account for his whereabouts for a few hours around the time of the incident not to mention that at the time he was CIA and was known for being a top notch marksman with a gun., and not to mention that if you are in the CIA and part of your job is the protection of the president especially when he is out touring a city just like the secret service and everyone else there that day was doing their job and they where they were and what they were doing,,oswold was in the school book depository and someone else was said to be up on the grassy knoll behind the fence near the RR tracks not to mention that they said that they have a photo of the area and in it you can see a small pull of white smoke and cigarette buts and then there's the whole magical bullet theory... not to mention that the bushes are said to be members of the skull and crossbones secret society saw that one as well, .. the reason I seen them is because I like conspiracy theory stuff and I never really trusted the whole narrative that they have given to the public about Kennedy's assassination especially with Oswald being the lone shooter and then being shot dead right after by Ruby the only reason why you would kill someone in a situation like that would be to silence them for a reason so that they can't talk... and it's been said that Jonathan didn't really like Kennedy for some strange reason......

Two Naval corpsmen who were on duty in the autopsy room at Bethesda when JFK's body arrived testified to the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1976 that the body came in a black shipping casket whose lid covered the top and side and was held in place by two screws. This casket was NEITHER the one purchased in Dallas NOR the one that JFK was ultimately buried in at Arlington. This testimony fueled many assassination theories, because it suggests that there was some kind of shell game going on with the body. For more information read David Lifton's "Best Evidence: Disguise and Deception in the Assassination of John F. Kennedy" (1986).
@dab.
@dab. 8 месяцев назад
The doctors who performed the autopsy state the body was received in a casket with no mention. of a 'shipping casket'. Obviously, if they had opened something other than the casket seen by millions on live TV, they would have said so. They confirm the body was wrapped in a sheet, not in a body bag. It seems to me that they would know what they opened. Commander Hume's testimony to the Warren Commission: "The Pesident's body was received in our morgue in a closed casket. We opened the casket, Dr. Boswell and I, and the President’s body was unclothed in the casket, was wrapped in a sheet labeled by the Parkland Hospital"

@@jeffeverett274 Yeah after decades of research that would be my theory too. Tippit used to get kidded for looking like JFK. Go figure...?? Then there's the alleged comment by Jackie saying "That's not my husband." I'd put money down it was actually Tippit.

?????? The conspiracy theorist are NOT concerned with the change between the large bronze colored casket (taken out of Dallas) and the large African Mahogany casket that JFK was buried in. So, this video is WAY off point. What conspiracy theorist are concerned with is the allegation that JFK's body was removed from the bronze Dallas casket and placed into a common shipping casket because (according to some) the body arrived at the Bethesda Naval base in the shipping casket, not the bronze casket you see being unloaded from the plane at Andrews Airforce Base and placed into the hearse. Sorry, but this video is basically a waste of time and effort.

The secret service had to break handles of the casket to get it to fit through the door onto the plane , you ain’t going to have the president of the United States buried in a casket damaged with no handles . The government are obviously going to have a new casket for the funeral , the only controversy was the fact JFK’s body was removed from the casket on the plane and put in the lower deck luggage area , then had surgery to the head to make it look like shots from the back , when the plane arrived in Washington the plane stopped on the lead upto the docking bay , this is where the body was removed from the plane and put into another casket , the plane then moved forward again to the docking bay and the empty casket was taken of the plane and put into the waiting Ambulance . The casket with the body of the president was then taken to the naval hospital it arrived upto half an hour before the Empty original casket arrived . this was the controversy regarding the caskets , not what is said in this video . All this evidence comes from Mr Lifton check it out it’s been out in tinternet land for a decade.

I believe you are correct sir....... about one thing for certain. The caskets that were purchased in funeral homes, first in Dallas and then in the DC area don't explain the shell game that went on the day of the assassination when shortly after the body arrived at Love Field it was transferred into a body bag and a plain standard shipping casket. The original casket was evidently empty for the entire flight from Dallas to Bethesda. The whole operation was carefully managed once the Secret Service very forcibly removed the President's body from Parkland by government/military officials. A lot of these disturbing details are no longer just wacky rumors. A very ugly chapter in US history.

I don't buy it. Police officer J.D. Tippit was known as JFK because he resembled JFK. There weren't just two caskets, but two airplanes flying back to Washington D.C. Interesting narrative, but I'm not sure it jives with other claims. The factual issue was that the US government did not pay O'Neal Funeral Home for the casket, and the funeral home wanted it back. It was their intent to keep it as some sort of industry memorabilia. As to the so-called conspiracy theories involving multiple caskets, most focus on the fact that JFK was wrapped in a sheet at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and placed in the ornate ceremonial casket (the one loaded on the aircraft at Love Field). But as author David Lifton demonstrated in Best Evidence (1981) through interviews and Warren Commission testimony, morgue attendants and FBI agents stated that JFK arrived at Bethesda in a body bag and an ordinary shipping casket. The resultant timeline irregularities show that the autopsy was already underway when the gray navy ambulance arrived at the front doors of the hospital, and Jackie Kennedy got out. That JFK's body was finally buried in a casket that was locally sourced in Washington DC, was never at issue. Neither was the final disposition of the ceremonial casket into which he was placed in Parkland.

The 1st casket, loaded onto the plane at Dallas' Love Field, was not the same as the casket that ultimately arrived at Bethesda that night. WHEN was the change made(obviously, on the flight from Dallas, or shortly thereafter.) The casket that arrived at Bethesda was a cheap shipping casket and not an ornate bronze one you see being loaded onto the plane at Dallas. WHY the need to make the switch from the time the plane took off from Dallas until the time it arrived at Bethesda later that night?

@johnbellingham9067 9 месяцев назад
JFKs body was most probably moved into the aluminum shipping casket during LBJs swearing in ceremony. The shipping casket was then moved onto Air Force 2 before both planes took off from Love Field Dallas. With more than 2 hours flying time to Andrews Air Force base there was plenty of time to remove the bloody hospital sheets wrapped around JFKs body and replace them with a body bag. There was also the medical facilities and time for the best Dallas mortician John Liggett to modify the head wound and remove remaining brain matter and bullet fragments to a metal container. The metal container already contained pieces of skull and brain matter which Mrs Kennedy had instinctively and bravely retrieved from 6ft behind on the limousine trunk and handed to Dr Jenkins in Parkland Hospital. John Liggett received a phone call that afternoon and disappeared from his home for a couple of days with no explanation to his wife. He also acquired a lot of money soon after, was divorced and began a wild lifestyle. He was shot trying to escape from police custody !

it WAS interesting but the fact that they didn't or couldn't use the original Dallas casket turns out to be a very minor issue. The big issue is that the president ended up in a plain shipping casket which was necessary because they needed to "prep" the body for the farce of an autopsy that was going to be needed to prove that there was no conspiracy (that only 3 shots were fired)

From everything I've ever heard/read, O'Neil never got the casket back. When he found out that 'his casket' wasn't going to be the one they buried Kennedy in, he wanted it back though so he could put it on display, which is exactly what the family DIDN'T want. He also charged them for a full funeral, eventhough all he did was provide a casket, haul it to the hospital, then to Love field, it was Bobby I believe who said 'no, this is ALL you did & that is ALL we're going to pay you for'.

the best explanation I have seen is that the transfer to the shipping casket would take just a few minutes and that occurred while LBJ was being sworn into office. That was the only time the original casket was not within eyeshot of all the interested parties present. The swearing in was an unnecessary formality that LBJ insisted on........ evidently for good reason.

This video is totally misleading. There were actually three caskets. At Parkland Hospital JFK's body was loaded into a Bronze ceremonial casket. For the autopsy in Bethesda Hospital JFK's body was unloaded from an aluminium shipping casket. Finally after the autopsy JFK's body was loaded in the third Mahogany casket which was buried after his funeral. The shipping casket is not mentioned. That was the cause of the unanswered questions. There was a coverup.

Doesn't necessarily mean there was a cover up. It could have simply been evasive action to make sure the body got to where it was supposed go. The night of the assassination, no one in the government or elsewhere knew what we were dealing with - was it the Soviets? The Cubans? Was it domestic right wingers? Was it an inside government job? Was the crime over or where there other targets yet to be hit? No one knew. So, it is reasonable that steps were take to ensure the body (the evidence) of this dastardly crime got to where it needed to go. Now you don't have to believe that - but it is reasonable. And it is another explanation for why the body was placed in the shipping casket (other than cover up) - if it was in fact placed in a shipping casket b/c there is debate about that too. People often forget that Kennedy friends and loyalist including his personal physician were present in the room while the autopsy was being performed. So, if there was a caver-up involving the autopsy, those Kennedy loyalist would have had to be in on it. Highly doubtful.
@johnbellingham9067
@johnbellingham9067 9 месяцев назад
@@kenb3552 If there was a valid reason for the aluminium shipping casket why not reveal when and where JFK's body was loaded into it and by whom ? There is evidence from several Bethesda morgue assistants that JFK's body was unloaded from the aluminium shipping casket and then later reloaded into the Bronze ceremonial casket for the body to again be unloaded in front of the honor guard and the formal autopsy begin at 8pm. Actual custody of JFK's body was with the secret service agents (possibly Greer and Kellerman). The secret service agents loyalty switched from JFK to LBJ from 1pm in Dallas when JFK was declared dead. Mrs Kennedy tried to stay with the Bronze ceremonial casket from when it left Parkland Hospital in Dallas until it was delivered to the autopsy in Bethesda Naval hospital. She did not have access to the Bronze Casket for at least two time periods. The first was during LBJ's swearing in ceremony in Airforce 1 at Love Field Dallas, where LBJ invited her to witness his swearing in and the second was on arrival at Bethesda where she went up to some private rooms to change and rest. The second period was when JFK's body was re loaded from a morgue table into the Bronze ceremonial casket. In the period between unloading from the aluminium shipping casket and reloading to the Bronze casket photographs and x-rays were taken. I have formed the conclusion that JFK's body was transferred to the aluminium shipping casket during the swearing in ceremony and flown to Andrews airforce base on Airforce 2. I remember seeing a video news report stating this but cannot find the report now. At some time JFK's body was taken out of the hospital sheets it was wrapped in at Parkland and placed in the body bag which was unloaded from the Bronze ceremonial casket at Bethesda morgue. Mrs Kennedy, the Honor Guard and people like Richard Lipsey were deceived into thinking JFK's body was in the Bronze casket all along. Ask yourself why? The answer is pretty obvious. At some point JFK's head wound was altered and all remaining brain matter removed including bullet fragments making it impossible for Drs Humes and Boswell (who had never done a single bullet wound autopsy in their medical careers) to accurately determine the direction of the head wound and the type of ammunition used. The brain remnants were placed in a metal container and this has gone missing unaccounted for. Dr Finck the third pathologist arrived later to the autopsy. He had some gunshot wound experience. The autopsy was a sham. The Parkland doctors were not consulted until the next day. They still cannot agree with the photographs taken in Bethesda. The brain remnants were never properly sectioned and examined for direction of the bullet.

The ACTUAL controversy about “the two caskets” does not involve the casket he was buried in but the original casket that left Parkland with JFK wrapped in a sheet which was loaded on Air Force One and the “casket” that arrived at Bethesda Hospital . The “casket” that arrived at Bethesda was actually a military shipping container for bodies and JFK was now inside a body bag instead of the sheet he was originally wrapped in. The controversy was when and who switched him from the damaged original casket that flew from Dallas to Washington to the gunmetal colored shipping container that arrived at Bethesda. The above video was good though as I didn’t know about the casket he was buried in (although we all saw it on TV) and the disposition of the original casket. Thanks!

The enigma about the two caskets is not about the two ceremonial caskets: it's about the first ceremonial and a shipping casket, in which JFK's body arrived at Bethesda. That has been confirmed by eye witnesses. Likely reason is that shortly after the ceremonial casket was brought into AF1, the Secret Service swapped the ceremonial with a shipping casket in order to a void that Dallas authorities might seize the body. The shipping casket was the offloaded in Washington on the other side of the plane, far away from all the cameras and journalists

The president's body entered Bethesda at 6.35 PM, as noted in an after-action report by Sgt Roger Boyajian, responsible for physical security at Bethesda, in a shipping casket (confirmed by a written document from the Gawler Funeral Home, Washington). This was 20 minutes before the expensive (and empty) bronze casket arrived at Bethesda, accompanied by Mrs Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, etc. at 6.55. Boyajian handed his "onion skin" copy of the report to the ARRB. Jerrol Custer already had (head) X-rays of JFK in his hands as he witnessed Mrs Kennedy enter the facility at 6.55. The bronze Dallas casket was abandoned after the autopsy, and a third, ceremonial, casket was obtained from Gawler's in which the president lay in state.

This video misses the entire point. Yes, Kennedy's body left Parkland Hospital in the bronze casket supplied by a Dallas undertaker. It arrived at Bethesda in a plain utilitarian metal casket at the back of the hospital, while the bronze casket was brought around in view of the press. The two caskets arriving at Bethesda for the autopsy has been confirmed by eyewitnesses. So, why two caskets? The plain casket, with the remains, made a stop at Walter Reed for some important cosmetic work to the skull. Then on to Bethesda for the 'autopsy' by two Navy doctors who had no real experience in conducting autopsies, especially for gunshot wounds.
@AzimuthTao
@AzimuthTao 5 месяцев назад
The dual casket controversy has nothing to do with the original casket and the one Kennedy was buried in. It comes from several attendants at Bethesda who claim that Kennedy's body arrived in a plain shipping casket, not the bronze one from O'Neal's. Also, they said his body was in a zippered body bag, not wrapped in sheets.

What about the undisputed fact that JFK arrived at Bethesda in a body bag in a cheap metal shipping casket while the ceremonial casket (which had to be empty) arrived about half an hour later. After the secret "national security" autopsy, which removed bullets and disguised wounds, the body was put back into the ornate bronze casket so a second autopsy could be performed before a different audience of witnesses. Very strange, but backed up by Navy records and eye-witnesses. Drs. Boswell and Humes were chosen to conduct the autopsy because they had no previous experience with gunshot wounds and could be intimidated into participating in the cover-up.
