Florida State University is looking to raise nearly $327 million for their football program by offering revenue bonds. While FSU is upgrading to premium seating in some areas, the main reason for the renovations is to rebuild the old interior of the stadium to upgrade walkways/bathrooms/concessions/etc. Whether you agree with the new seating or not, the renovation of the interior was necessary.

It’s also to generate more revenue with way more premium seating (the demand for premium seats always far outweighed the supply). And fsu will have $50 MILLION more per year in the new conference. When the bonds are issued it will provide the detail. It must state so for the intended use in the bond debenture. Furthermore, the rating agencies (S&P,Fitch, Moody’s) will assign a rating based upon their due diligence on the investment risk. View the offer once it’s announced to confirm all. As for the ACC/ESPN Buyout that potential needed funding amount via Private Capital has been explored by FSU quite sometime ago. In fact, JPMC was mentioned as a possible suitor for such funding. PS: Brian stick to what you know best and it’s definitely not Commercial loan structure including terms and repayment capacity.

Yeah. Wisconsin is putting in a new heated field for late season games/potential playoff games, but, the big one is an almost $400 million some dollar new full sized indoor football field and training/practice facility adjoining the east side of the stadium with the park/arch just to its east side commemorating the original Camp Randall from Civil War days…. Meanwhile, Northwestern, which already built a gorgeous indoor practice/training facility on the lake, is building a new stadium.

Good show. But I think the ACC will be every bit as good this coming season as last season. Miami is putting together a super team, SMU won the AAC (easily) last season also made improvements, NCSU will also be very good, VT has at least their offense figured out, Clemson and FSU will do Clemson and FSU things. I think Wake and Pitt are big question marks, I'm not sure what to expect.

ACC will make 150% more money than the Big 12 because NOBODY is looking at the REAL $$$ NUMBERS for the ACC. Everybody is looking at REVENUE but not looking at INCOME. And those words mean 2 different things. ACC INCOME is more than $16 Million HIGHER than its Revenue right now BECAUSE ONLY THE ACC is BUILDING a MAJOR PROJECT. So some of that INCOME is SPENT... which subtracts it from REVENUE. But that Project is DONE and BUILT after this month... so next year that $16 Million + will NOT be SPENT and will be ADDED into the REVENUE column of the Balance Sheet. You shouldn't believe NUMBERS that do not use the REAL NUMBERS.

Short answer because they’re smart. Even if a good chunk of it was for the settlement to be able to be allowed to exit the ACC that is some of the smartest money you could spend. They’re gonna be such a hot commodity and get a very, very competitive deal making probably 50 million more per season. That’s a no-brainer. What is the alternative to fall further and further behind in a dying conference until 2037? A conference, the hurricanes have never won by the way. Just saying.

Also realize that in 2 years UCF will make more money than FSU. That can’t be allowed to happen. FSU is doing all this to ensure they stay ahead of UCF. That’s the real reason of the ACC legal actions and upgrades to make them appealing to the Super2. Another reason why the B12 is a deal breaker. UCF has to go back in the bottle.

🤣UCF -Big 12 money drops to 31.7 million once UT and OU leave. The ACC paid out more than that last year. On top of that the Big 12 got less money for the new playoff than the ACC.

The state can’t sustain 4 or more power schools. It impact everything from recruiting to brand. Especially when you are facing schools like LSU who owns their whole state. It is about the P2.
