Us all Liverpool Fans, despite you despising we are top of the league, we still loves you Alice, our only Adopted "Man Und" fan :) Keep up the good work
I think the liverpool played was part of Slot's plan... He wanted players to just sit back relaxed... No one did anything to create anything... They didn't press, wingers didn't cut in, Gravenberch didn't make his usual forward runs and turns, fulbacks didn't go forward, they stayed back... We were only playing balls to Salah... This is now Slot wants his players to play... He wants them to dominate the game completely in each department, in each area... And I think Slot played this kind of different tactic because of tough run of fixtures and more matches
It was really interesting to see Trent stay back and JUST defend. It was almost like Slot said, "F**k Roy Keane. Go show him what your made of!" And to be fair, Trent delivered defensively vs Chelsea.
@@realfootball835 if you only watch the highlights - yes. He has stinkers too, every pass of his in the Nottingham Forrest loss was either underhit or overhit.
Alice, the only difference between yours, and sky/bt/et al punditry is that they stand up, and get paid more. Your analysis, and stat presentation, with your fast matter of fact delivery style wipes the floor with all establishment content! Well done to you!
under Klopp, the team gets really tired at the end of the season and when Salah returned from African cup last season, he was quite bad. let's see how this goes with Slot.
@@fayesouthall6604 as a Liverpool fan, Salah loves Egypt and wants to win a trophy with them, he's not going to stop playing for Egypt as long as he is able to play the game.
I was already respecting Slot before Chelsea quite a lot; I think he's better than Klopp who was basically found out by BEFORE his last season. Jurgen had a special approach but he'd never cop to his intensity as contributing to the long injury lists his sides incurred in multiple seasons. You can tell Slot is trying to keep his lads healthier. Yet, I was really impressed to see how Arne changed up again for Chelsea playing more defensively out of possession. And, look how the lads just went along with a different game plan! I've never seen the Reds play like that and it was boss!
Well said bro I've been saying the same thing people like Stevie want liverpool to blow away teams like we did in the pass but that doesn't show pacing and Klopp didn't know when to take his foot off the gas
you can't say he's better than Klopp this early. Klopp went toe to toe with City (and all of Europe with 3 CL finals, 1 EL final) on a fraction of a budget with titles decided by mere MM
The great liverpool teams of the 70s & 80s got plenty of wins the same way. They could tear weak teams apart, but knew how to grind it out against strong ones too.
Why is it difficult for people to understand slot is a coach and klopp is a manager...yes they are different... Slot is more tactical that's what a coach does...
It takes a certain intellectual honesty to acknowledge that Liverpool is performing the best, even when it's not what you want to believe or support. I don't say that as an extremely smug LFC supporter right now, but as a human being, in this day and age. You have my subscription.
Man City will always have the extra12th man in their team in the referee. No matter how good Liverpool and Arsenal are, it is very difficult and frustrating to keep fighting against the awful referees /VAR that has been around so far this season. Keep up your good analysis.
Let's talk about it in April. Every season's the same. City start slow with a few shock results against mid teams then just turn into a machine after Christmas. The only thing giving me hope this time is they've got no rodri but lets see
We might of fallen off towards the end but we we're robbed off 14points by var pgmol before that and the whole country saw it but said nothing cos it's Liverpool it doesn't matter...we must be the most hated club in the league because we're the most successful.
Great Blogg again Alice... Absolutely love your honesty on Liverpool as you are A Manchester United fan... Always look forward to your analysts... YNWA... ❤⚽️👍😊
LFC Fan love this blog Alice think your the best of the best but don't see that Silver was interfering with play. He made a nuisance of himself before the kick was taken which he's entitled to do while he was doing this he could not be offside from a corner. When Stones headed the ball he had moved away from the goalkeeper with his back sideways on to goal. Could he been have classed offside yes was he a interference ? But you are correct they do seem to get a lot of decisions ?
Too soon to talk about winning the league. Jota gets injured by a rugby tackle. Salah constantly being held with no calls. Strange how city benefits from no calls that fail the eye test. Unusual how many refs get paid to do charity matches by city's owners in their home country. No, just too soon.
I am all for the temporary euphoria. But, the reality is there is lack of squad depth in midfield (and probably drop off in CB quality too). City are yet to bed in KDB from injury and they are winning. However, there is definitely potential for Liverpool to challenge city more so than arsenal.
Would you really prefer city to win it tho…? I’ve spent decades wanting anyone but man utd to win the title, but now it’s ABC. Anyone But City. As a lifelong Liverpool lad, I actually have a grudging respect for what utd have achieved over the years, but there’s zero respect for this current city lot. It’s gonna be a long, long slog for the title & city’s squad depth usually shows it’s strength in the latter half of the season. Slot’s doing brilliantly tho & no complaints so far. We’ll see.
I have a lot more respect for Liverpool/ Arsenal than City as they do not cheat and built a club through history but lets be honest when City win stuff it does not feel real because the fan base is so plastic over there.
sad Chiesa can't seem to get fit would have given us a great rotational option for Mo we lack backup for Gravenberch and new Left fullback if can get a new left back a defensive midfielder and attacking wide player in January Liverpool have a good chance of challenging for the title
We have 2 great mids to come back or be promoted in Staffan Bajetic and Trey Nyoni in the forwards young Doak plus a host of really good academy prospects coming through, so the club can really heavily invest in s good Left Back and Left Center Back this winter transfer window.
Bajetic looks like he's got an attitude problem. From what I've read he's had several run ins with klopp and slot due to being late for training and meetings. This has happened at his loan club this season all ready. I've a feeling we will sell for a profit if his loan season goes well. Preferably he settles down and has a great career with us.
Definitely feel we need Harvey back soon to compete with Sob! I actually think Harvey will excel in the 10. Sob looks ok but not finishing like for Hungry !
Didn't know we had the most xg for and least xg against. As a Liverpool fan, I'm hoping we maintain this level of consistency. But we all know, we haven't played anyone great yet 😂
Unfortunately its not how you start its how you finish.... History shows that lfc are just as likely not reinforce the squad in jan to assist Slott... And too many players tend to succumb to fatigue injury and poor form at the end of the season..... So nothing to glaze about yet.... Hope for the best...
Your content is great, you sound like you actually watch most of the games. It would be nice if you could stop with the click baity titles. Is it for the RU-vid Suggestion Algorithm ?
@@NAk-si3mk Alice has been worried about Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham at various stages of the season. Not to mention she's a Red Devil, doubt she has enough worries left to worry about these other teams 😂
How can they win the league ,we have Arsenal this week Brighton next week with Real Madrid the Man City then Tottenham , how can we win like that 8 tough games in 16 days.I dont think we can make it.Thats a tough order for any team the next 8 tough games. Its not easy .
No way Liverpool or Arsenal or any other club can win the league as long oil money exist, even these season alone, City should have at least 2 points less, But refs are great friends of money.
No Liverpool won't win the league...man city been rolling this league for many years...if all things fair ...yes Liverpool stands a great chance but this is an unfair league
- Nowhere near a Title race the last two seasons, Torch passed to Arsenal. - Blame injuries for every failure they have but then also brag about the "Kids" winning cant have it both ways. - Edging past Chelsea in an unconvincing performance - Relying on 2 30 plus year old's to stay relevant. - Extremely easy start - Trent, VVD, and Salah could all be gone. Many many more reasons why Liverpool cant keep this up. Fooling nobody except there fans. The fall will happen soon. Good start to the season though.
This is a very bias interpretation of things. Liverpool were in a title race up until April last season, salah and vvd confirmed to be in contract talks. Taa might go for a new challenge but have a homegrown replacement waiting. Slot made astute tactical changes in the second half against Chelsea which crippled their ability to get the ball to their double pivot. It was a physical game that was always going to be tight. And a convincing win at old Trafford, first Liverpool manager to win their first game there since 1936.
@@briansheridan9160 what is an absolute fact? Your comments are riddled with subjectivity. Will be interesting do see how this ages. Not saying reds will win it but certainly in contention deep into the season, and I'm confident they will win at least 1 title.
@@kakapomax Had to come from behind SIXTEEN times in the season last year and relied on individual brilliance to get by. Liverpool are nowhere near the Team they where. Nothing lasts forever.. and I aint buying this "THERE BACK" talk.
