There is a theory that Hugh’s mother is Saera Targaryen. Yall think it’s true??

I think that Vermithor at this point wasn't hungry anymore.

I would think that because he's a big built man, protected the woman by using himself as a distraction AND shouted in defiance in the face of fire and death are the reasons.

The blood connection and Hugh's bravery was a big win for Vermithor. "BE Calm Vermithor" before he blasts and eats various seeds! I recall King Viscerys telling Raenyra that it is an illusion they control the dragons. This episode seems to confirm that theory.

He is Targaryen blood and Vermithor admired he protected that woman and was prepared to die for it. Vermithor is protective of Silverwing so they share similar personalities.

Its seems like if Rhaenyra WANTED, she absolutely could have claimed Vermithor. I know she has Syrax, but the way he calmed down for her was soooo telling. That scene was beautifully done, Rhaenyra IS the Dragon Queen! Aegon could never, he'd probably try speaking High Valeriyan and end up telling him "Vetmithor make pancake for uncle?"

I believe that Vermithor being the fiercest dragon, needed a fierce rider which Hugh proved to be when he challenged Vermithor. He earned the dragon's respect. Yes, Vermithor could then sense or smell the Targaryen blood, since he had barbequed and eaten all the others, but I think this dragon would accept nothing less than fierceness in his rider.

Hugh’s mother wasn’t a b*star* she was Saera Targaryen. King Jahaerys disowns her for her promiscuity and she ends up running away to become a pr*stitute/ pleasure house owner. Before she died Queen Alysanne begged Jahaerys to allow her to see her since she was their last living daughter but he always refused stating that she was no daughter of his due to her earlier disgrace. Apparently however, in his last years he regretted exiling her and longed to see her again even mistaking Allicent who was taking care of him on his deathbed bed for her. So some people say that longing for Saera could be the reason why Vermithor chose Hugh

I consume all films, series and video games in their original languages, but I also watch videos like this one about them in German, which is why I know the translations of the names. By doing this, I came up with my own theory as to why Hugh Hammer could claim Vermithor: Hammer's first name "Hugh" has been translated into German as "Hugo". The surname was left as it is because the words are identical in both languages. Hugo has claimed the dragon with the aura of a boss, which makes it fair to say that he is Hugo Boss. Anyone who is called that, or can be called that, deserves a dragon! All joking aside, this is another great video from you! I've been a big fan of your work since your Dark videos and you just deliver consistently!

How to tame Vermithor?....Just scream in his face.

I think Vermithor chose Hugh because he is very similar to King Jahaerys in looks and mentality as written in books that one of Saera Targaryen's bastard children looks like the Old King

Vermithor is actually slightly smaller than Vhagar, but yeah Vermithor is a yuge beast.

*vermithor is still 2nd in size to Vhagar. Also, Laenor didn’t actually die, was framed and sailed off in season 1
