We've seen players recently, who were once considered to be solid players, all of a sudden end up out of the NBA. Besides the obvious age and injury reasons, we take a look at a few players who fell out of the NBA because of other kinds of issues.

Do a video on how weight issues killed some player's careers. Some it predisposed them to knee or back issues, or they were simply unable to stay on the court long enough to contribute significantly. Contrast them to similar players who were able to lose the weight and turn out great careers.

I wanted Josh Smith to be a star in Atlanta too. SMH hometown kid who was great at defense and had the athletic ability to be exciting on offense, but never truly developed a jumper, and in spite of that still kept shooting 3's!

I don't agree with the "ego" thing, I think it's more of "prove all the doubters wrong" situations and getting some experience and more playing time. For example: *Ekpe Udoh* didn't get significant minutes in his first years in the NBA, went to Europe and played incredible basketball in Fenerbahçe for the last two years and now returned to the NBA (Utah just picked him up). Antoher great examples are *Hasan Whiteside, Anthony Parker* and *PJ Tucker* who didn't play much in their first years in the NBA (Just like Udoh), and after couple of years of great basketball in Europe/Overseas, became great NBA players.

From what I recall, OJ Mayo is suspended for drug abuse, but not for all the drugs that are listed in the video. Based off of the report given, the NBA doesn't actually state which of the listed drugs he was guilty of taking, just that he is guilty of taking at least 1 of them. It could be as simple as him doing molly 1 night at a club before a game, or he really could be a meth/cocaine/heroin addict, or anything in between, no one really knows at this point. That being said, he was suspended years prior for performance enhancing drugs found in his system which he attributed to an "energy drink", as well as the last month he played he ended up breaking his ankle and missing the rest of the season due to "accidentally tripping while descending his stairs".

Josh Smith and Lamar Odom both played 11 plus seasons in the NBA. With injuries and all the miles on the legs thats damn good. OJ Mayo played 8 seasons in the NBA.

Consider making a video about bad players who managed to win multiple rings. There are many situations where I think about great players who didn't get a single ring (like Iverson, Barkley, etc.), but in the same time I think about the other end of the spectrum: what are some of the weak or unknown players that have won a ring (or more of them).

Josh Smith could have been one of the best ever. SF in a PF's body, he dominated just about every other SF he faced in the low post on offense and defense. Nobody could stop him. His problem was shot selection. Smith for some reason thought he was a 3pt hero and would frequently chuck up bad shots - so many times when the game was on the line. Too bad. He could have been the ultimate low post weapon.

Josh Smith wasn't THAT bad after Detroit, he was a really important bench player on that 2015 Rockets team, especially in the playoffs. He could come in and handle the ball while also being able to guard multiple positions.

The new CBA really was for the average players. These players are making 10-15 more than they should be really making, and there's no cap space to sign good veterans. A role player like Otto Porter should never be on that contract.

Smith was good and bad when he came here to Detroit. He had good games, costed us a few, and I think his play on the court effected the team's chemistry. I know everytime he would take a 3pt shot, he would have everyone holding their breath and pulling their hair.

There was a lot more to the situation with Larry Sanders. After his 2nd suspension for a failed drug test he had a mandatory rehab stint, which the Bucks even let him choose his own facility for, which treated a host of mental health issues. He still checked out early. He also got in a fight at a club where he was throwing champagne bottles at peoples' heads and got a hand injury. After he announced a comeback he was waived by the Cavs for missing their flight call out of Miami. Mental health is a serious issue, and one that he's using as an excuse to act like a child

Yooo,Josh Childress,I was watching him live in Euroleague once when he played against my team.Dude was so dominant,he played alongside Patrick Beverly and Miloš Teodosić,however,they never won the Euroleague together.Lamar Odom played in Laboral Kutxa in 2014 season,but had cocaine problems again.
