The most difficult part is not washing or rubbing your face much, or moisturize it after you get them. I wear makeup and i feel like they dont last as long as theyre supossed to becasue i wash and rub my face every day. The "purest" your skin remains, the longer they will last . Yours came out beautiful ♥

A great tips is: After the henna paste has been applied, it must be allowed to dry. A mixture of lemon juice and sugar is then sprinkled on so that the design adheres better to the skin. 👌✨

Heyy!! I have been applying henna for several years now and love it! I leave it on my face for 2 hours but it only stays for a few days. Thanks to you I know now that I have to let it sit longer ❤️❤️
Yes! Definitely let is sit for a few more hours and try not to exfoliate after (I've exfoliated a couple days after and it got rid of most of them haha)

Hi!! 1. Yes, you can leave it on for a shorter amount of time but I would suggest no less than 2-3 hours. This is because it needs time to sink in and develop (the longer you leave it on, the darker it will be and the longer it will last) 2. Thank you so much, and yes!! You can get a darker longer lasting look by spraying your henna with a lemon juice/organic sugar cane mix, letting it dry & settle, THEN take it off! ❤️ Just don’t get it in your eyes lmao
I'm trying it on my hand first because I remember the henna I buy being alot darker but if I end up liking it I will probably end up doing this it was alot easier to do on my hand than expected

I have a question. Do you not wash your face or do any skin care before or during the time you have the freckles? I have been trying to make these henna freckles work but basically as soon as I wash my face they are gone... So I am just wondering if you have altered your skincare routine in order to keep them longer or... I might be doing it completely wrong? Or I got a bad product ( I live in Japan so I ordered what I could find through the amazon here). Any clarification would be so helpful
with my current skincare routine, I don't wash my face with face wash every day (usually every other day)! i find my skin gets very dry if I wash it too often, so this ends up working in my favor in terms of the freckles lasting longer. They typically only last about 3-4 days though, so def don't expect them to last too long. It's also totally dependent on how long you leave the henna on, and your skin type!!
You are so cute and the freckles look so natural. But i missed something why did you do two layers instead of just letting the first layer sit for longer?
Thanks so much! :) I like to do two layers so that there's more depth in the freckles, making them look more naturally. Sometimes, if I just do one layer, it looks like i just drew them on (i know technically they're fake and drawn on, but I want them to look more real haha).
I also ordered the kit from mihenna now and I'm really excited😊 I got my first henna (body) done this year in India and I loved it. Did you try to spred the henna freckles with your finger like does this work? Or is the colour then too soft?
i didn’t spread the henna at all! i wanted to avoid smudging. i do think it’s good to lay it on thick no matter what design you’re doing with henna so that the pigment deposits as much as possible :)

Hey! The reasons for not lasting long can totally vary dependent on how naturally oily your skin is and also how often you wash your face. I wash my face approx every other day but only exfoliate as needed (sometimes this is once a week, sometimes this is twice a month). I usually exfoliate my face the day before I apply henna so that I can start on a fresh/clean face :)

the more you wash the more they’ll fade! that being said, i still do my regular skincare routine and it lasts for a few days :) they were completely gone after i exfoliated on day 4 or 5!
Great question! I don't think it does, the color is only temporary and will wash off over time. But it couldn't hurt do a little more research if you're worried about that in particular!
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong.. but I use golecha henna and I wait 2 hours. After I remove them, they look soooo Orange and even after 24 hours they still look pretty orange :/

Hey! Totally get that, I would try exfoliating (gently) and moisturizing really well (using like a moisturizer and an oil after). I'd do that like two days in a row just before bed and see how it goes! I'm sure some people on the internet have additional tips/tricks to remove it but luckily it only lasts for a few days anyway :) also thank you so much, love ya too xx

I have to question whether it actually matters who owns the henna company-specifically, what their racial heritage is. Isn’t it the very definition of racism to place rules on what sort of business a person can or cannot run based on their race? I certainly understand wanting to support people who run a business that reflects their nation and ancestry, but I also think it’s a very beautiful thing that people of all backgrounds love henna and come together because of the beauty of henna. Sometimes trying very hard not to be racist can actually widen the rift between races.
i never said they couldn’t run their business making henna products, i just said i was going to buy my henna from somewhere else because i want to be more intentional about my purchases :) i’m not trying hard to “not be racist,” i’m just supporting a WOC owned business
Can I put on moisturizer after I've taking off the freckles at night or will it interfer with the oxydation (so they'll turn brown)? Then I'll wait till next morning.
adding oil to your face will make the freckles fade faster, but they’re super easy to reapply! i use oil in my regular skin routine and they usually last about three days (and take about 24 hours to fully oxidize)
