The real Slab City, California 

Looks like a good place to live. The only thing that bothers me is the junk piles everywhere. Takes the beauty of being there away.

I'm glad you had such a great time. I especially like that you addressed "lawless city" issue. Some come here stirring up trouble because they think no laws, but that ignorance can get people hurt. Most slabbers are peaceful, just wanna live their lives and most are willing to help when help is needed.

Thank you for this video. I have been told to not go out there alone and since I'm always alone, I have never been there. Maybe I'll have to go now!

AWESOME Video Sarah! Thoroughly enjoyed meeting Coz and seeing his home and surrounding area and also enjoyed meeting Peter and seeing all of his Artful Homestead! I have known about Slab City and heard "Stories and Rumors and Gossip" about the City! You nailed Sarah...you can go anywhere and you'll see and find "the bad". It's looking past all of that and seeing The Good that wants to be seen and explored! Great Tour and YES, I'd stay for a weekend or more if I ever get back out West. I'm a Southern Cali Beach Bum Surfing the Ponds and Creeks in Ohio but I do get back home every few years....Slab City is going straight to the top of my List of places to see@ Cheers From Ohio

You know what’s sad? Is if people were allowed to create something this spectacular in Vegas, some ass would turn them into the city for violations…..😢😢😢 very sad. Peter is a jewel! What he has created is amazing!! ❤️❤️

Doesn't look too bad this time of year. I am going to return in a couple years when I get my RV, and off grid equipment, maybe start a little farm on the canal and provide for some of the slabbers who need the help

This reminds me of Key West back in the day. There were dilapated boats in a protected bay peoiple lived on. They rowed small dingys to the shore. Very off grid, free living.

There are so many people from various backgrounds in Slab City. Very neat they they have a library, and so many other social areas. They do so much with so little. Very ingenious way of building things also.

He had a Dr. Who Tardis loo on the outside! Everyone is so clever with everything there! 💯✌

I’ve only seen one video about Slab City & they kept their opinions pretty neutral. All I see is a very eclectic little town filled with lots of free spirited people. I’d probably feel right at home there. And no doubt making something out of those craft supplies ☺️

Love this video I would so stay at any of those places you showed the people of slab city are so inventive I respect that so much and they all seem so genuine.Ive watched other videos and I hate when people make videos and make the people seem like aliens or animals at a zoo,I’m like it’s people that’s all that’s made a place to live how they wanna live.Id love to live like they do living life on their terms.

My experience in Slab City wasn't that awesome as yours. Likely because I did not know anyone and there were a lot of sign telling me to stay away... So I did. I'll check it out again based on your video and perhaps I'll have a better experience! Great video.

Slab City needs one of those little weather stations that posts weather data to the internet. You can get a good one for less than $200. The slabbers should pitch in together and get one.
