It feels good to feel seen and understood. from the career episode, i was hooked, because i was actively in a career crisis- i feel like ive been slacking. The latest episode also made me consider a lot, part of which is the fact that i miss the old me. I feel like i finally lost the weight (after years of trying), had a good job, and then i fell pregnant, now i have extra weight and all these responsibilities, and i cant find myself in it. i guess trying to find a version of me that no longer exists was part of the frustration... I'll consider what daily selfcare routines i can put in place, perhaps that would help.

To the Congolese M&M, Lagos is chaotic. No matter how much money you have, local issues will affect you. Everyone is affected by everything to a certain degree. Yes, domestic staff are a blessing. But you still have to be careful. Their lack of exposure will affect their efficiency. Yes, you will have community. BUT society can still be quite shallow. I’d say, come for an extended period of time. Come on a 6-month sabbatical and see how it goes. I don’t recommend moving back. But I do recommend spending extended periods of time and plugging into the community to create opportunities.
