I find it interesting that it's implied that Sir Hayden was fully aware of what was going on, and that he didn't like the idea of a plastic face over his smokebox. It's an interesting take, that's for sure!
Super impressive. I'm amazed Christopher Awdry got the inspiration for a good story of his, once again from the Talyllyn Railway, just like his father Wilbert.
It pretty cool if talyllyn railway had sir haydn dress up as sir handel and him to where the eye piece to recrat this miss hap at awdry extravaganza 4 next year
Real life Sir Handel goes through plastic surgery and other stories. I had to rewatch this story as I don't have the clearest memories of Christopher's stories. Except for "Overhaul, Out of puff, Triple header, Scrambled eggs, Pop Special, "Gordon the high speed engine", Old Stuck-up, and Crossed lines". What if you do the true stories of "Steamroller" and "James and the trouble with trees" next?
