As someone who grew up in the city and not a visitor, Indy’s crime isn’t random. You can move around the city and not experience any crime. Most of the crime is committed between people who know each other Indy is no more dangerous than any other city anywhere in the country
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS hold up! I’ve lived in Indianapolis for over 40yrs both east and west side. I’m not a casual visitor reading Disingenuous stats I found on google You’re generalize this entire topic. I lived in areas where the stats claim are unsafe and never experienced my property being vandalized, I never been strong armed or shot So where are you getting your first hand account from or are you basing your claims solely off of biased data off the internet? I’m telling you what I KNOW, not what I’ve been TOLD ARE YOU AWARE THERES EVEVN A DIFFERENCE
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS do you even know that they break the murder rate down into categories? What you need to look at is the random violent crime that’s committed to complete strangers. You can ride around with your out of state plates in some of the worse areas, filming and speaking to another Hispanic and we all seen nothing happen to you See how your logic is over exaggerated here smh
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS If you mind your own business in Indianapolis, nothing is gonna happen to you. Stay away from Post Road on the eastside and you'll be fine. F**k your stats.
Lot of missed opportunity with latin/hispanic food! If you come back, check out the spots at Washington and Sherman, Keystone and Raymond, and for Mexican, State and New York (La Parada). Indy is weird because we have a lot of hoods (aside from Post/Mitthoeffer) and they are all distinctly different: 34th & Emerson, 10th & Rural, Brookside, Sherman from Washington up to 25th Street, Brightwood, Haughville, 30th & Capital, 30th & MLK over to Harding, West 38th Street, and on and on.
Wow, you came down Washington and then turned down Emerson and then left. You never even really got into the city at all. I mean, what is the point of even posting the video if you aren’t going to actually show something besides the outskirts.
I grew up here and watching you drive past the streets I walked on everyday for years was very triggering for me. I’m glad I escaped. I went from poverty and drugs to an accountant in Miami. Good luck east side of Indy.
Indiana is known as the crossroads of America and Indianapolis is center of that. That is why so many conventions are held in Indianapolis and why it's known a good place to have a distribution centers.
I grew up on the west side in the 60s and 70s. Shopped at Glendale, Lafayette Square and Castleton. Then we moved to Carmel when I was ten. Now, I'm in Tampa. If you were driving On Meridian, Kessler, William's Creek, etc. in October you'd think it was a very picturesque city. You're in the worst areas. Enjoyed the video!
I'm looking at coming to Indianapolis in the near future, my partners from there, and hates it! But when reading about the history and things to do, theres loads of cool attractions 😊
You went to post roaaad that’s crazy. That place one of the most dangerous areas of Indianapolis. You should drive around the hoods of the east side less far out. Such as brookside, the Baltimore apartments up on 30th and keystone
Do not be afraid to travel through post road, brookside, haughville and places of that nature. If you stay to yourself you won’t be harmed whatsoever just keep driving
But if it’s so dangerous there , why was he caring on a conversation with a complete stranger? He seemed pretty comfortable from the Hoosier hospitality shown to him lol
I hope you did different videos of this city being that you only did the Far East sides of town and not the North, South, West , North east, and Downtown Indianapolis and parts, also a Cuban restaurant and many other Latin restaurants are on the west and North west sides of the city, and it has quite a few nice suburban places that make it as best in America 🇺🇸 places to live, Fishers, Carmel, Avon , Brownsburg, Westfield, Noblesville, etc. also Broad Ripple, Mass Ave, Fountain Square district are highly rated areas of Indy, The city and it’s suburbs are really big and spread out so you have to do a few days to get a good feel and opinion or opinions from each sides and parts of the city for example the North and North west and North east looks different and has none of what you had seen on the east side, more like Bronx, vs Brooklyn vs Queen’s, Harlem etc, otherwise great video and insight…🙌🏼👊🏻👏🏼😃
Can he put a little shine on some important thing going on in America while you just wanna watch from the comfort of your north side home lmao this may be entertaining to you but it’s informational for others 😂
What a waste of my time. Some random guy and his unaware girlfriend wandering around with little information and zero entertainment. Dude, I’m guessing you’re depressing wherever you are.
I used to live in Indianapolis from 2018-2021. Very depressing city, castleton is supposed to be a nice area. However, when I lived at the lake castleton apartments there were 3 murders in the one and half year that I lived there. Also was in 3 wrecks because drivers are horrible there. I am so glad I left. The only thing I really miss was Noblesville and Wolfie's( amazing waterfront restaurant).
That's kinda funny , I lived at L.C. in 1996. It wasn't bad at all back then . And Castleton Mall was really nice up until around 2000.. And we moved out to Noblesville in 1998 and we haven't been back to Indy since then.. Now we live West of Noblesville, in Westfield.. 👍
At 1:19:01 you are on Southport road east of Madison and south of Indianapolis city. You are nowhere near Indianapolis proper. The worst areas of Indianapolis are NE of the city.
He didn't really show too much, but if you from nap and go to other big cities you notice how dirty and neglected the streets is. Except the suburban parts
Shit name me one city that doesn’t have its fair of ran down parts and busted streets ect I’ll wait and when you do name one, I bet you’ll I’ll find an example to contradict whatever city you claim is clean
Love Nap Town - 1 of the BEST places to live! I lived my first 28 years there on every side .. mainly north or east but spent time west and even on the south.
Indianapolis kind of reminds me of Oklahoma City being a state capital, largest city and using the state's name for the city but extended with a few letters like 'polis'. And a few similarities like very low living costs, canal riverwalks and a NBA team (Pacers).
@Tony Taylor No Oklahoma city is a city not a town you need to study more geography. And Oklahoma city does have a similar feel to Indianapolis flat and boring.
I have driven completely around I-465 in Indianapolis a few times and completely around I-295 In Jacksonville and Jacksonville beltway takes FOREVER!!! No comparison.
It's plenty of work up there in Indy. If it wasn't so gloomy up that way, I would live up there. I go see my people in the summer time because it gets a little bit chilly and gloomy up there.
Corruption in Government is rampant historically few have ever had the courage to stand up or think for themselves. Those who do are targeted and don't fare well here as most of the U. S.,.
Yall didnt touch none of the worst areas lol ...... 34th Emerson is thee worrst plCe to drive thru. B u t even i wouldnt go over in Brentwood. Didnt go to Brightwood or haughville. Yall was more like in the lower upper. Next time go to the GUTTERS
Next time go to the west side (Haughville and MLK and Harding) and more of the Eastside like 10th and Rural, Brookside, Brightwood and Crosstown. Also around 38th and Illinois. You really didn’t go into to the city much. You mainly stayed on the outskirts and Suburbs. You went thru Brentwood and 42 and Post but that just the Far Eastside.
Most of the crime is actually property crime. We had a higher rate per Capita than the US average even before the pandemic. Porch pirates galore and no catalytic converter is safe. But mostly people leave you alone if you're walking around during the day.
The nicest part of town is far north and far south, especially if you go to meridian hills (and zionsville though it's a separate city). Please do this again also it's pronounced indiaNAPolis
If you ever come back to Indiana make a stop in Crawfordsville and do a video of the town while is down the road from Lafayette and an hour West of Indianapolis
@@JUSAGUYNKY murders. In 220 it was 300 murders in Los Angels population 5m. in Indianapolis it was 270 murders population 1m. An they are in the most dangerous neighborhood in the city
There are far worse in Indy than this. I think I know them all. 10th and white river PKWY (AKA Haughville on the near west side). Very dangerous and has been since I was a kid in the 60's. I suggest you do a little more research. Brookside Parkway, another get murdered in area.
All you need to do is drive the 465 circle and get off on the north, east, south, and west sides of the city. Drive 10 - 20 mins straight in each direction.. and youll see how different each side of Indy is. Northside- exit on Keystone Ave. Eastside - exit on east Washington Street. Southside- exit on south east street/N US. 31 Westside- exit on rockville road
Man you talking bad about my city. You know nothing about. You don't live there, wasn't raised there so don't judge. Check out the city besides riding northbound on Post Rd. All the way from Florida and don't know nothing about Indy. This dude is a negative individual.
So when you were on Brentwood, my house was further down than you went. The city is actually buying all of these properties to tear them down. If you live here or own a home, the city is paying to relocate you. Buying houses or paying rent if you rent. The goal is for them to buy them all by the end of 2024 and have them all torn down by the end of 2025. This has been in negotiation for 10 years and they finally settled it in 2022 or 2023. The first one was torn down in April 2023. I have been here for 10 years and havent had 1 single problem. The people who do are the ones buying and selling drugs etc. If you stay out of peoples business you are fine here. Also I have a huge dog LOL
This place is dumpy bro!! Had me rolling! Bro Ik you’re from florida every time you say IM IN THE HOOD DAWG! Hilarious! Keep up the great work your channel is going to blow!
He shot this video in the winter the city like bad is you did this in the summer the city actually pretty as hell with all the trees we got where he started the city is actually the worse part of the city
Indy got so bad over the years 😢…I made my way down to sunny Florida. Had to leave that life because babyyyy Indy is messy but not gonna lie I miss my city sometimes. ❤
@@moe5402 safe is a false sense of reality and security There’s rapist, killers and drugs every where in America. You can run but you can’t hide from it. It is what it is
Damm that was painful small talk while attempting comedy. "Don't interrupt me woman" is were I bailed to this comment section. Super awkward. Don't try to interact outside the car! LOL that's comedy
I hate when people like u do something like this lol u act like every city doesn't have bad areas even the richest areas are bad so please put some respect on our City 🌆
46st and Post is a bad spot.. But Indy isn't any worse than any other city , and a lot better than most.. Only thing about it is that there's not much to do..
The only thang that you guys got right in this video…… Is the fact that this shit is depressing then motherfucka but if you really wanna see how we act and live come when it’s not cold outside & the trees have leafs , cause at the time of this video quite sure the places that you’ve been people was hibernating frfr
Yes, there are bad parts of Indianapolis but yes, there are good parts of Indianapolis. This video should be dropped and not believed., don’t know a damn thing about Indianapolis! What a freaking joke!
After the videos I've seen, I can say I don't like that city at all, I don’t like Indiana. I keep getting to know more with you, thanks for the videos and all the info. 😊
What a waste of an hour and 30 minutes watching this trash! Find something else besides what you’re doing now because you’re not doing a a whole lot of good yes, there are bad parts in Indianapolis, but the rest of this city is great,
