Wanderer goes by many names: Scaramouche, Kabukimono, Kunikuzushi, The Puppet, the Balladeer, the 6th Harbinger and Ei's son. Which one is his real name? Does he have one? What makes him so Trans - coded? Is this queer coding valid? What did Yae Miko mean when she talked about the Raiden Shogun creating him? How did the people in Tatarasuna form him and why is Dottore in it? All this and more in a gender and queer history discussion of our favorite Hat Guy.

This is ridiculous lol. Wanderer doesn't even have a gender since he's a puppet. And he probably doesn't give a f what sex he is anyway. I'm suprised that someone could even talk about this seriously
@dougligaming
@dougligaming 9 месяцев назад
@@tothebeyond6318 I think you are mixing up gender and birth sex. You use he/him for him. If he was genderless it would be they/them like the Aeons in Honkai Star rail. Or more likely for a puppet it/it's. what I think you mean is that as a puppet he wouldn't have either reproductive organ (which is a headcannon some have). But since Raiden was trying to make a perfect human replica it's not cannon to the actual game. Even if I personally see it as a completely valid headcannon to have for him. But the fact that if he has a dick or not is a discussion brought up often enough in the fandom to make it a generalized headcannon. Means there's something there to be discussed. if there's smoke there's probably a fire and all that.

i would also like to point out that hoyoverse had made SO many references to bohemian rhapsody with the “sometimes wish i’d never been born at all” or the “curious fandango” (i think that’s what it’s called) and the fact that his name is scaramouche. and freddie mercury and queen themselves are literally queer icons. IDK I JUST THINK IT FITS SO WELL
@yoshiiinblack
@yoshiiinblack 9 месяцев назад
It's actually "Ominous Fandango". Also I was very amused when people were shocked that he's Anemo, because I was like the song literally ends with "Any way the wind blows". His drip amrketing was laso on the same day as the song was released as well. Well, mine is named Farrokh, which is Freddie Mercury's real first name because of the whole Bohemian Rhapsody references.

I might add: his name “kabukimono” originates from feudal japan. Kabukimono were travelling samurai who were deemed strangers for dressing and acting differently, such as men wearing female clothing. They would often dress in flamboyant clothing and refuse to wear traditional colour schemes. They were also one of the first gangs appearing in Japan.

When naming my wanderer, I took it really seriously. His story is some of the most hard hitting stuff I’ve ever seen and I wanted to honor that, and so I decided on a name that’s perfect for him: Masato; Proper person Because that’s what he is, and that’s what he’ll always be Edit: Or ya know turbo-virg works too Edit, 4 months later: Sometimes I still come back to this comment thread to read all the wonderful names people came up with for Wanderer and their reasons. It’s all so lovely

I love that name! It's very sweet, I love seeing what other people named him 🥺 I gave my Wanderer a persian name since he ended up in Sumeru and I figured that's where he'd be starting his life over. I named him Parvaneh which means "butterfly", because I feel like he went through a kind of metamorphosis with his character, so I thought it would be fitting :)
@vinnieleonsepic
@vinnieleonsepic 10 месяцев назад
I took it very seriously too, and immediately spent like 10 mins looking for the right name. I settled on Kokoro, meaning “heart/soul” (I believe, + it’s been a year). I choose the name because I wanted to convey that he has a “heart” a soul, and he always has had what he wanted so bad.
@allisonleonardo5459
@allisonleonardo5459 10 месяцев назад
I felt the same too, I couldn't have it any other way 🥺I named mine Icaro, wich comes from Icarus, whose is from a greek myth about a boy who got too carried away and flew too close to the sun with wings made of feathers, fabric and wax. The wings melted and he fell directly onto the ocean, drowning to death. I choose that one mostly because of what happened on Sumeru, and because I feel like he just wants to shine, to be recognized and validated for those around him, something that I don't see myself reaching as much as he doesn't. I know it's kinda sad, but I believe he can indeed touch the sun (even though it's fake) even after falling so badly so many times, so I felt like it was kinda fitting

I'm not great with naming, and i mean it when i say it, i was on the naming screen for like two hours. I wanted to name him something meaningful, cause i respect him as a character, I wanted to name him something silly, because haha funny. I wanted to name him for a lot of things. But after two hours i gave in, and named him skrunkly... 😭

@Kairi-ou 10 месяцев назад
Oh I spent an additional 2 hours sitting there, way after 12am, looking up name meanings, there was no way I was going to give him a meme name like others were. It was too important to me that he was named properly. I named him “Yuui”, a namesake from another trauma boy, which also meant, gentleness, kindness, and superiority. Bc he is all of that, in the end.

It's really impressive how so many people can relate to or pull from his writing. Not to diminish the trans coding, but I feel like you can draw a lot of interpretations and the trans experience is just one of them. For example, as one other commenter mentioned, people who struggle with mental illnesses like bpd/cptsd, or even orphaned or adopted kids. I think it's a testament to the storytelling that it can be read in so many different ways and can still hit so hard.
@OPardalzin

Yeah, I think anyone can relate to his story. The things he feels and his struggles are overall universal. Be a person cis/het, queer, from different race, with a disability, neurodivergent, etc.
@nikothelittlelamb

Agreed, honestly. I'm trans myself, but it's not a part of my identity I ever really felt conflicted about. Where I saw myself in him was in the fact that I'm autistic, and my whole life I felt disconnected, like I was different from everybody else and didn't belong anywhere, though I didn't have a reason why until recently. He's my top favourite character, intially just because of his fun personality, but as I learned more about his backstory I realized how much depth he has as a character.
@Cherryblossomp1nk
@Cherryblossomp1nk 9 месяцев назад
I think his story is universal to anyone who has identity or self esteem issues, like finding your own place, trying to have something like a name or a title to call your own and a lot more, it's a very universal story that resonates with anyone and that includes queer gender individuals because so many points are relatable to them just like people with mental illness, neurodivergency, low self-esteem or loneliness

I believe that all of this could intentional. While questioning if he was desingned as a puppet based on Ei's sister Makoto, we can see that the wanderer's first clothes seen at the cinematic are based on traditionally female japanese clothes (wich I forgot the name now) and it resembles the ones Ei's sister used as well, meaning maybe it could be true. But as you said, it doesn't add as much value to the symbolism compared to his story, but it makes me believe this was Hoyo's intention all along and makes me happy for all of the representaion this game has :)

as a trans person (ftm), ever since finding out about scara's true story, ive found him to be more so a relatable and comforting character for me. the fact he yearned for something out of his reach (a heart), the want for a his own identify or name, for people to see him as "human" and worthy of love just hits so close to home.

31:17 - 31:35 This seriously made me wanna cry But speaking of other characters I think that Furina also is a little bit of trans alegory just due to the mere fact that she was forced to pretend to be someone who she never was for 500 years otherwise people wouldn't even accept her as their archon

Furina uses "boku" pronouns in Japanese, also I saw that they referred to Focalors as "the man in the mirror" in Chinese, but I can't confirm that. I was looking at her talents when I realised she was making a pose only male characters did, and I checked every other female character to confirm. I can't really say anything because I saw most of these things from the screenshots my friends sent, but yeah

I see Alhaitham as autistic coded. In Chinese media, it is either illegal, or a medium would be unpopular, if one of it's best characters was officially autistic. So instead of telling anyone Alhaitham is autistic, Alhaitham is very autistic coded, and he just doesn't bother to mask it. I have gotten very angry reactions when I expressed that I see Alhaitham as autistic coded. By the way, I'm an autistic woman myself, and I feel very represented by Alhaitham. Even though I'm far from as intelligent as him, I still relate to him a lot in terms of his view on social interactions. He sees them as unnescessary, and he views people as bothersome. He just wants to sit in a corner, and read his books, and not interact with anyone, because he is too in love with his books. And there's nothing to be shamed about this, although, people are treating him as a weirdo for this. Edit: I'm pretty sure the reason Alhaitham hates soup is actually sensory issues, and he just uses the excuse with the book to mask that. I understand that behaviour. My sensory trigger are onions. And whenever I say that I find onions gross, people, for some reason, feel compelled to trick me into eating onions. So I just say I'm allergic to onions. Perhaps Alhaitham made the same experience with soup, and now just says that it's hard to eat while eating soup, so people wouldn't bother him about it.

There are a few different characters that could be read as potentially autistic coded for one reason or another. Kokomi has surprisingly strong coding given her desire to perform her duties for her people in spite of her social anxiety and how she really just wants to crawl into her hideout and read about her special interest in silence. She also independently rediscovered Spoon Theory which made me laugh when I first saw it. The Melusines in general also have some potential neurodivergent coding due to their very different perceptions of the world. Whether it's closest to autism or to some other mental disability, I'm not sure I can say, though I've considered that autism may be a sensory disability more than a social one, and its the sensory and perceptual differences that can make cross-neurotype communication challenging. Lastly, Nahida is a child-like AI fae. If you know, you know.

Though it may be true that he wasn’t originally made to be a girl, I do still believe there is something trans about his creation. It is stated that Ei made Raiden’s body out of her own. Being a prototype, Wanderer would have been made in a similar way. What was the other body that could’ve been used? Makoto’s. It also explains why Ei created him to have a resemblance to her and why he isn’t sharing a head with someone like Raiden considering Makoto died. Just a fun theory!

I don't think he's trans-coded, but of course people free to think otherwise I find his theme and problems are relatable to many people, not just trans First is about identity, every teen usually have an identity crisis, Wanderer wanting to know his purpose in life, wanting to find where he belong, it's a very common theme and problem with teenagers, a journey to find oneself. Second is about his su1c1dal and self-h4rm thought. This is of course a world-wide phenomenon Third, body dysmorphia, not satisfied with ones body doesn't always mean they don't satisfied with their biological sex. It usually happens a lot with females that dislike their body type. Wanderer's case I think are like boys that want to become giant robot when they grew up?? lol jk, he dislikes his fragile body and wanted a stronger vessel because he thought his value and purpose is to hold the gnosis, I think this relates back to the identity crisis, this reminds me of a certain character that "hates their sickly body and use a forbidden magic to create a stronger body" kind of trope In my view Wanderer is closer to stereotype of an unwanted child. An unwanted child frequently having an identity crisis and self hate because the first person they know in their life throw them away An unwanted child is either the parent never intend him to be born (Ei didn't expect him to awake from his slumber), or the child don't meet the parent's expectation (Wanderer failed to be the vessel for the gnosis) A child that never intended to be born usually will be abandoned and needing to survive by himself in a harsh world without much guidance, they either being selfish because he only have himself to protect him or having trust issues like "Even my own parent hates me, how can a stranger be kind to me if there is not a hidden agenda" A child that don't meet the parent's expectation often spent all his life to meet their parent's expectation or based his value on his usefulness like "my parent hate me because I failed to meet their expectation, so I need to be useful to be accepted". His story reminded me a lot of a cousin of mine. She was an unwanted child born to a teen mom who didn't care for her at all and often left her alone at home when she was just a baby. Her family from her mom's side took her in and she went through a few homes but it she really didn't feel at home. Until my family took her in that is. She also had a lot of hate and was very rebellious growing up because of it. What was worse was that her mom lived close and soon had a child she actually wanted, and her father also had children he actually wanted with another woman. Now she's finding her own purpose in life, has her own family, my family, and trying to be a better mom than her own.

Precisely my thoughts as well! As a trans individual myself, I do find his writing to be extremely relatable in that aspect as well. However, I do not necessarily see him as trans-coded, at least not in the same way many people do (him *literally* being trans I mean). He's more on the "self-searching" troupe and it's what I personally relate to and see more, rather than "searching for my gender identity" type of thing I have been and still am having an identity crisis, and this side, or rather interpretation of his writing hits me more than the "trans-coded" one. I just don't see it personally. Is it relatable and can it be interpreted that way? Yes. Is he specifically trans-coded? We'll never know
@OPardalzin

@@DeadVoxelYeah, I feel that's the magic of his story. It's universally relatable to anyone regardless if they're queer, cis/het, neurodivergent; It's essencially a Coming of Age story. I actually don't think the coding was the intention of the writers. Lots of things in his story and designs, name changes, etc; is inspired by Kabuki+Bunraku Theatre, Samurai+Bushido, Buddhism and Shugendo, Pinocchio, the Tin Can Soldier, Commedia dell'arte, Neon Genesis Evagelion, Bishonen and Coming of Age stories, as well as a continuation of the themes they've done with other non human characters like Ganyu, Albedo, Itto, now Neuvilette and the Melusines as well None of which seem to have any connections with the coding. Imo it doesn't seem like they're actually trying to.

dont know if hoyo made this stunning parallels on purpose, BUT at least we can say they did relate scara to women on purpose. you see, ashikai made an one hour long analysis on him (with a lot of external references, of course), and at some point she talks about the various references for his design. apparently both his old and new clothes resembles tradicional arts played by women. tho, as you pointed, his clothes and allegedly being created female is not the strongest point, at least it shows that, man, this character is queer as hell.

I definitely think that the writing of Wanderer's character is incredible. He is my favorite character alongside Furina right now. His story is so complex and human, ironically enough. I've had so many deep conversations about Wanderer and it's always so fulfilling. The convos always touch on some of the most profound notions like morality, justice, identity, purpose, companionship. Such a rich character. While I haven't considered the possibility of him being trans or trans coded, after hearing you out I can definitely see how trans people specifically could find a way to sympathize with Wanderer's story and I am super glad that you guys can. As someone who's not trans, I find a bunch of reasons to sympathize with him as well and I think that speaks to how rich his character is and how good the writing was for his story. While we all have different struggles, I guess some underlying similarities do exist and that is pretty interesting to think about. It's rare to see people who are as passionate and emotional about his character and writing! He's been my favorite character ever since I saw him for the first time (I did not play the game at the time, I believe first time I saw him was the cutscene from Inazuma archon quest, and at the time that was his only official appearance in the game besides the time-limited event) This does indeed prove how rich of a character he is, his entire struggle and writing touches on so many aspects it's incredible. He's one of the rare characters in the game that actually touches on serious topics, and questions them/mocks them. His attitude and mindset on things is how I feel about the world too (just his "You think I've got a sharp tongue?" voiceline alone describes my entire philosophy) As for the trans part, I'll speak from the perspective of a trans individual as myself: I do see how many similarities are there to the trans experience, and how certain struggles resemble the struggles of trans individuals. I do confirm that most of those are, in fact, valid comparisons. I've thought about them too before I had seen anyone bring it up!

although I can see the logic behind this, I think Wanderer was created without transgenderism in mind. having experimented with gender throughout my life- i can see why Transgender individuals may resonate with his story. I view Wanderer's story as a general tale of rebirth and redemption. Finding one's true self and identity as well as purpose. His story puts great emphasis on purpose. This may resonate with a large number of audiences and not just Transgender people. I believed he was created in the image of Makoto- hence his colours as Kabukimono (white and purple) resembles Makoto- which would then explain why he is originally dressed in women's clothes. However it is important to note that Genshin Impact does not gender their clothing. Hence Dori, whose hat is originally worn by men. I believe the initial real-life gender assignments of clothing bear little significance in Genshin Impact's choices. This is also due to each nation being inspired from a real life culture while not being exactly the same. I agree to disagree with this video. Not every story about finding one's self and purpose is queer. Resonating with him is completely valid however I think this is a bit of a stretch.

i partly agree with you, but E themself stated that she doesn’t think it was intentional either. the point isn’t that wanderer was coded to be trans, but that his experiences can be read as a trans experience. whether it can be called “coding” if it was unintentional is up for debate, and there’s definitely far more to wanderer’s story than the identity aspect, but nonetheless, the trans interpretation holds pretty solid ground imo

It's not only his writing - but also his appearance supports this!! The veil that he wore as Kabukimono was a common style for women in early Japanese history, probably around Heian or Kamakura period. It's a kosode used as a cloak, also called kazuki or katsugi, where a kimono is placed over the head, and sometimes a tie around the shoulders holds it in place. Lighter materials could also probably be used but a thick kosode was more common as protection and warmth from the elements. The actual outfit he wears then is also for nobility; it's a simplified suikan - casual everyday wear for nobles. I also see a lot of children wearing suikan when looking it up, so I'm sure it's gained connotations with youthfulness. Then later, the hat and veil combo that he wore as Scara, was also used mostly by women as well - known as uchikatsugi. Women of nobility would use it to hide their features when in public but also protect from insects and dust. I think this was more popular around the Edo period. The last hat and clothes that he wears as Wanderer is based on Shugensha Monks - which wandered about Japan. Not really a gendered thing specifically, but more a becoming at peace with his being kinda thing. One with nature and self. His body design does also have a bit of Makoto in him, like the inverted emblem on his neck and his initial personality. Ei, whether intentionally or not, gave him Makoto's empathy and softness when being created. Taking on the Gnosis was too cruel for him. In parallel, to how Ei was Makoto's kagemusha to do the harder parts of the job that Makoto might not be able to carry out. Cause right after that she makes the Shogun, in her image and with her more hardened personality. And in the end, she didn't even use the Gnosis in any of the puppets; she gave it to Yae Miko.

However, I am of Japanese heritage and in terms of this videos topic about queer coding - Wanderer's designs IS important to consider when speaking about THIS topic. Whether it was intentional or not isn't really the point, it's there; OP said basically the same thing in the video themselves, that they weren't sure if he was coded on purpose or not. My comment was pointing out that the design further supports him being trans-coded - the entire point of the video entire video.

The major piece of evidence goes on the side that he is NOT trans, he wasn’t created to be female but his sister was. Ei didn’t care what he turned out to be like how parents don’t control which chromosomes the baby has. She simply wanted to see if it could be done. The story also never states he is struggling with gender specifically, just other forms of identity that any person can relate to, not just trans people. I don’t see how you can make an argument on this yet without any solid evidence given so far in his story.

Wanted to let this little phrase I read a long time ago for those who are wondering if they are "trans enough", being trans myself and struggling for a long time because I barely suffered dysphoria and when it happened it was not that bad: "Being trans isnt about dysphoria, it's about euphoria". You can feel happy and content with your current gender and pronouns, and be like that your whole life, but you can also feel happy and content with your current gender, be called "they" one time and feel like everything fits even better. Being trans is not about how much you hate your body, it's about how much more you love rejecting the box you were set in, even if just a little.

I always hated how the community treated and still treats him. If you've only known hatred and the smallest bit of kindness, what will you go to? Hatred, it's the best thing you know. If you don't know any better, then you think it's "normal". Wanderer was hurt so much, yet people don't seem to get that trauma is a complex thing, even for a puppet that Wanderer is. When I found out about his past, I felt bad for him. If I had never had a good role model in one of my siblings, I'd have turned out like my abuser, like Wanderer ended up turning out as. Things are terrible in any world, and poor guy had to deal with so much, with only the mental age of a child when he felt all of that trauma. Thus, I named him Katsukichi, Katsu meaning victory, and Kichi meaning luck. He needs luck and proper victories, so I gave him that name. It makes entire sense that Wanderer is trans, not just because he was originally made as a puppet vessel for Ei's Gnosis, and the final puppet being very obviously a woman, but it doesn't work due to Yae's words. But the way that he acts towards himself makes it fairly clear. His story of finding out who he truly is is also huge. This whole video helped put into words what I had felt all along, it was very well put together

@@IZABELAqqqqq Yeah, I was isolated, so I only had that one sibling, who knew how people should be treated, since they were there when our mother was alive. She was a wonderful mom and even tried to give all of her children college funds, but my "father", who was my abuser, decided to take all of it when she died. He's a terrible person, and I'm glad I never turned out like him

as an 18 year old trans guy who’s journey has been similar, thank you so much for making this video. whether you like genshin or not, this topic is so important to be educated about, and you nailed every bit of it. you’re so well spoken and such a genuine person, thank you for giving those of us who can’t speak a voice. i didn’t make the connection of wanderer’s story to the trans experience until watching this, and i want to thank you for opening mine and so many other’s eyes to this. it’s genuinely so touching to feel so represented in this way, and it’s true that this can save lives. i wish you and every other person who reads this well, and if you are struggling with your identity, please note that you are not alone. i wish you luck on your journeys.

in a perfect world we wouldnt look for peoples genders, we would look for peoples hearts thats whats mostly symbolic in wanderers story from my perspective also a very beautiful message in the beginning of the video!

Also Scaramouches coding is also very similar to how it was done in early literature Ex.Frankenstein, it’s a lot to explain in one comment but I love monster queer metaphors in media.

As a transmasc Wanderer is truly the trans representation I have been waiting for. I recognized a lot of myself in him. I have a similar body despite being 30 years old (small, which looks young). I also have trauma (including “my dottore” unfortunately). Thank you very much for this video ❤

What a beautiful video!! This series makes me so happy! I got burned out of genshin recently, but still amazes me how mihoyo got to write so many incredible stories and make people resonate with them! Wanderer's story made me fall in love with Genshin's writing, and seeing what his story represented makes me very happy. I'm still trying to understand myself better, since the idea that "i have to fit into the experience i was assigned to" and that "I'll never be nonbinary enough to say it out loud" still feels very attached to my brain (and it is tiring as f-) But! Im working on it! And and seeing people defending the journey to find yourself and accept who you are is very comforting!! Thank you for the video! I look forward to see more of your content in the future! ❤😊 (Sorry for the bad English XD)

When I first clicked on the video I was expecting it to be a bunch of forced ideals, but genuinely, you have great evidence and reasoning for this perspective. Though I don't agree, I think it's really cool and interesting, for that reason, I'm leaving a like and subbing, keep up the good work, your awesome

Can't wait for the house of phobics to find this one💙 I also agree that his trans coding probably wasn't intentional but the amount of trans people who relate to him clearly means that there is something even if unintentional. Love ya E!

this is a very comforting video to see right now. last night i got news that i may have been outed to my family (not great !) but this is helping me come to terms with what may happen in my future. wanderer is my favorite genshin character, and i've always headcanoned him as trans and i really see myself in him, i'm happy to see that there are others who see it as well. the genshin community may be looked down upon by a lot of people, but i feel at home in such a welcoming and accepting fandom!

update gamers: i got outed :3 (banging my head against a wall /j) but i am using this opportunity to not only get out a good cry, but also to encourage other people to never lose hope. it’s more worth it to be yourself and happy than put on a miserable little facade. i wish all my trans comrades good luck on their journeys, and just know that if you feel hopeless and unloved, i care SO much and i will always love you for being you, because trans pride is beautiful

I can relate so hard to feeling silly for the way that I identify, like I literally want to sink into the ground everytime I tell someone that I’m aroace because in my head I’m like “that’s so dumb, that’s not real, they’re gonna make fun of you” but the people I have come out to have always understood and supported me.

one very major thing i would like to add to this discussion is the very obvious reference that scaramouche himself is to bohemian rhapsody. like to the point where the phases of the song line up with his story AND his drip marketing was premiered on the anniversary of the song. OMG AND his trailer was called "anywhere the wind blows". the song is highly speculated to be about freddie mercury's bisexuality and being cast out by his family as well as feeling like he k*lled the old version of himself when coming out.

I don't think he's trans coded, his story is about wanting to be human, the game always praises humans. The Fontaine archon quest made it even more clear

indeed, his story is about that. how he was afraid he is just an object to be discarded, someone who can not fit in with humans. but he was not fit for that role either. people tend to project themselves and their ideals onto characters they relate to, and the theme of change and identity issues is something trans people will resonate with. it's good to have someone to relate to and there's nothing wrong with it, unless you force your headcanons on others or disregard the actual story and characteristic of the character, which unfortunately happens a lot.

i don't mind if Scara is trans or not, he's my baby and my beloved boy and i love him all the same. though looking for his identity as person is not necessarily an allegory for looking for his gender identity. it can be applied to a lot of things like mental disorders, or just be as it is, as the story of his yearning to be accepted as human is beautiful as is, without any allegories. i'm not convinced, to be honest, for me the story is richer without bringing gender into it - but if trans people recognize themselves in him, well, more power to them. p.s. i named mine Kaze ("wind" in japaneze), he was supposed to be Yurushi no Kaze (something like forgiving wind, wind of forgiveness, referring to being given an anemo vision and starting to make peace with himself), but sadly it was too long.

Quick note for the recap: It’s more accurate to say that he HOPED to go back in time to erase himself, but he only achieved the erasure of the memories and history of himself. No one (even himself) remembers his existence, but it did still happen.

I can so agree with some points, i am FtM and the first Time my Mom called me by my real Name was so magic. I couldn't stop grinning, every time i remember this moment i get so happy i might cry, because i got scared when I came out. My mom always told me how she wanted only girls and i thought 'Can i take this away.' she told me as i told her this "You were never a girl to begin with. But i couldn't name the problem we got, now after learning about it i wish to travel back and help our past selves. Trust me as your parent as long as you are happy i would never abandon you." I now Live my life as i want it to and i am so happy and managed to make friends, which i never could really do the past 30 years.❤

I wouldn’t say that he is trans as in transgender bc he is not, but he does experience a similar phenomenon to many trans people. And in that sense you could say that he is trans coded bc he could represent the trans experience metaphorically. Great video though, made me cry🩷🤍🩵
