In Ghana we don't know Muslims we don't know Christians ,we don't care about where you are coming from but what we know is one people's , one country, one Ghana
A father's prayer is very powerful and it stands forever when a mother doesn't intervene... Kwame Nkrumah as Father of the land blessed GHANA who's a mother accepted the blessings of Peace and Prosperity forward ever backwards never... Mother land accept Peace and Prosperity
Our chief imam celebrated his 100th birthday in a Catholic Church, and was prayed for by Father Cambell. I love my Chief Imam so much though I'm a christian
No I'm Ghana but i went to tell you that Twi is not form Asante but is form bono but Asante. Bono. Ahafo. Mfant. Sarhwi. Ahant. akim. kwahu. Nzemaa all this we are name is call Akans so that please we are the people's who spike Twi language
I'm a Ghanaian Pastor. Anytime I want to slaughter a goat I call my Muslim friend, Alhaji. He comes to slaughter and dress it. And we share the meat. During my High School days in Brong Ahafo Region we shared a dormitory with boys from the various ethnic groups and regions in Ghana. Some even had the privilege of learning other ethnic languages as we interacted.
Dr. Otabil, the general overseer of ICGC, painted the old national mosque years back, this is the kind of tolerance Ghanaians have. We are trained to understand that we are all one in God's sight regardless of religion
My blessed people let's gather here for our adopted Ghanaian sister ooo, am from the Ashanti Kingdom and i will become the next president of Ghana in 2040 and I will marry from Igbo Kingdom.
We are in tribes and different religion different languages etc But the main reason we are united it's because we inter married each other And respected 💯 each other and tolerated each other We can make fun of ourselves even fight among ourselves but still Ghana we dey 😄😄😄 We are Ghanaians
Yes my dear is true Ghanaians don't know if you are Christian or Muslim we marry each other and both sides of the family accept it because we are one Ghana, that what our fore fathers taught us because of that there's always unity and peace in Ghana. During Muslim festivals, all Christians goes to the mosques 🕌 to celebrate with them and during Christmas, all Muslims goes to the church ⛪ to celebrate with them. That is why Ghana is at peace ✌.
The Muslims share their foods and meats among their Christian neighbours during their celebrations. Some Muslims even come for 31st night and all. When I was in the boarding school, I had these muslim friends who use to sing and dance to our praises than us all😅
Boarding schools has helped Ghana a lot My best friend is an ewe from Volta region and we like brothers because we were in the same hall, same course and same room!
@@samuelantwi9884 "Our culture was there before Jesus?" My brother, you are digressing. How can our culture be there before Jesus when it was Jesus who created us for us to come into being in the first place?
@@addy3134 foolishness beautifully packaged from the first comment. How can you claim that you are a Christian and spew such nonsense. Thank you Adraina
Spot on. Kwame Nkrumah made a conscious effort to integrate Ghana and that was the most important key. In his time you could stand for an MP in any constituency in Ghana regardless of your tribe. If the constituence likes you, they vote for you. Simple
You forgot to mention FOOD!!!!!. We try each other's foods and that generates conversations and promotes unity. One of my favourite foods is Waakye and it sterms from the north and we in the south don't joke with it. Love your channel!xx
That is very true. Like Banku is from the Ewes but every Ghanaian like it and also TZ (Tuo Zaafi) by the Northerners is eaten at the South and the Middle Belt. Also Fufu by the Akans is enjoyed by all (Ewes, GAs, Northerners etc)
Waw I am surprised about how you knew these hidden secrets . You are 100% right .In Ghana , Muslims and Christian have a mutual relation that surpasses human understanding . We can even dine together and visit each other .
It's very true all that you have said even beyond ghana other Africans who speaks twi language are considered part of them. My childhood friends were ibos and yorubas and other part of Africa nations we all spoke twi and did not know any diffrences among us we were all one and united as family
Very interesting blog as usual. Your Twi alone makes you a Ghanaian. The boarding school system is one of the best things that ever happened to Ghanaians. Almost all Ghanaians will remember thier days in the boarding school as the best part of thier lives, where we made friends and learnt each other's language. I picked three other local languages without even trying because of classmates. Contrary to popular believe, the boarding school system existed 50 years(created by the colonialists) before Nkrumah. I believe he himself attended a boarding school. Religion has never been a problem in Ghana, most boarding schools are Christian but we have Muslim students who go to church. I understand is the reverse in the Muslim boarding schools too. I know Christian families who accompanied thier Muslim friends to the mosque on Fridays and on Sundays the Muslims do the reverse because they say is the same God.
I attended Achimota Primary and also Presbyterian Primary before going to Akosombo Secondary school, the best thing about all that was my friends from every part of the country, learning their languages culture and foods, a totally beautiful experience.
Sandie's news on the hour. Kwame Nkrumah instilled unity in us no boundaries no barriers we are one. After that he tried to unite Africa to fight against colonisation.
Wow Sandie Ghanaian we always want peace we did not care if you are Muslim or Christian we are one people and one Ghana my husband is Muslim and i am Christian one people one Ghana
You very right at the end of the day no one is perfect. Ghana peaceful and unity nature is commendable. I think their Government cooperate well with the citizens🤷♀️🤗. This was awesome
My sister this is true Ghanaians dissent know about who you are and Wer you come from hot they know is less stick to gather and form once people that why Ghana is that peace
I have a Nigerian childhood friend, He was born in Ghana, even though he is originally Nigerian but i see him as Ghanaian because he speaks the Twi language and every member his family speaks Twi as well. We are all one as Africans. Ghana to the world. Peace ✌️
We marry from different tribes and different religions in Ghana without any problem. After marriage, no one needs to be converted from one religion to another. I come from Christian family. Many members of my family have married Muslims, and they have all kept their religion. The kids are open minded when it comes to religion. It is beautiful to see.
You have done well to know more about our culture looking forward to learn More positive things about my Lovely country Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 much love from Ghana 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭✊
Yeah I agree with you especially on the language. I think the language has contributed massively to the peace Ghana has. Virtually everybody speaks twi so there is understanding always among ourselves
I'm a Christian and I don't joke with my Tuozafi on sundays o chai 😂 after church service on every sunday go and see how Christian's av lined up to buy Tuozafi after sunday church service. And I av one Muslim friend who mostly enjoy fufu at home. That is Ghana for you o Ei na if fight happens where are we especially we the Christian's or Akans get our special Tuozafi to eat on sunday 😂 we won't compromise that at all
I think we take things for granted until Sandie points them out. Plus almost every family has christians and muslims and so a fight essentially means fighting your family member/tribesman etc. theres no point in that. of course there are some patches of family feuds everywhere in the world. and yh i salute the kwame nkrumah shoutout
I'm a muslim but most of my friends are christians....de way I love them erh, they love me too....it doesn't even cross my dat they are different from me..they are part of me n I'm part of them.
Very well Said My Sister. Can a Fulani Nigerian President or Yoruba Nigerian President get Married to another tribe in Nigeria? ??????. May GOD have Mercy Upon Nigeria. Can an Ibo Man Married to an Akwa Ibom state????? May GOD have Mercy Upon Nigeria. One local language in Niaja?? Can you remember WAZOBIA or Village Headmaster when they were debating for one language in Nigeria Hausa Man said that they should choose Hausa, Yoruba Man Said they should choose Yoruba language and Ibo Man Said that they should choose Ibo language. May GOD have Mercy Upon Nigeria. GOD Forbid Lagos life. AkwaIbom is Peaceful and calm. Like Benue state used to be peaceful before Fulani Herdsmens invade their state. All the hurry and gra gra Rome was not built in one day. May GOD have Mercy Upon Nigeria and Nigerians, we should slow down My Fellow Nigerians.
You couldnt have said it any better...currently it is the rosary month for the catholics and my last visit i saw some muslims there praying the rosary too
OK Sandy I think you have really leany Ghana, I'm glad you took ya time to get to know us. Love everything you doing and Ghana love u too. Reaching you from France..
As a Ghanaian, The liberian civil war scared the sh*t out of us. I remember we started asking ourselves questions if that could happen to us and it was likely. So by asking ourselves those hard question we started putting in place necessary measures such as the 1992 constitution and from then on every running mate of every political party must be from both north and south.
Yes it true a lot of Ghanaian's don't kwn. But if they want to kwn they will kwn. It's not by force to kwn, we want to kwn how to enjoy this peaceful world of ours. Remember if u want to kwn u will be tot. God bless our home land Ghana.
We love her. Sandie didn't just come to Ghana for school. She took her time to learn about the people in the country (Ghana) where she had decided to receive her college education. For that, we will always love her.
My dear thank you, but you forgot one important thing. The home up bringing in GH is completely different, discipline in the house shapes the child to adulthood. Thanks.
Thanks for your video, which is a good reminder to us to keep things as it is. What I know is our first president used secondary school education to achieve this for us. he encouraged us to intermingle. Even today majority of our children who complet junior high school at around age 15 will make a secondary school choice that is out side their region. this year's secondary school admissions ,a relative had a category b Islamic school and is there now as a yr 1 student, and largely u will find Muslim bros in non Muslim schools going about thier studies. We shd be grateful as a people.
Yes you are right about boarding school integrating children from different background. The idea was to prevent tribal wars. Ghana also tolerate religion. There are places in Ghana where a church is build next to mosque. I had Muslim friends in school I used to go to the mosque with them just to Hang out while they pray before we all go eat lunch. We didn’t see difference in religion We coexist peacefully It always amazed me when I see other countries fighting over religion
Girl you are doing great ooo. I didn't even think about that.its really true true. My grand father use to cook for all the Muslim and Christian kids to come and eat together. It was fun.I remember a Muslim driver use to like my sister and sends me to go and call her. I see huuun.
Sandy you're right oo I was reading through comments on one Nigerian page and someone passed a comment about one aboki's food and people came in to accuse her of passing a hate speech and I was surprised cos it's normal here for us to joke about tribes and religion. That gidigidi thing is true I went to Lagos and it was ha eii
I love your videos because of the way you speak of Ghana and I am so proud of you that you can still speak twi. All is said thank you so much for this informative to video God bless you. 🙏🏾 ❤️ #proudghanaian 🇬🇭
Ghanaians believe in Ghana first the boarding school system initiated by Dr Nkrumah where the tribes are mixed up led to most inter marriages and we love each other’s foods there’s no differentiation am Ewe married to a Akan guy love fufu Akan and he love Akpele and okro soup a typical Ewe meal very twisted 😂😂👍💯
