Hi Neil hope you're well. Fair play to you for going out in those conditions, I'd have stayed indoors in front of the TV I'm definitely a fair weather photographer. I'm always looking for indoor/tabletop photography projects so the weather doesn't stop my photography(working on some now). Great images concerning the weather, hopefully the weather did improve during your holiday. Best wishes stay safe Jon
Hi Jon - Hope your well too... Yeah I definitely thought about staying indoors on this particular day, was too eager to explore this Nature Reserve though. Thankfully the weather did brighten up a little bit for me... Plenty more, along with the best yet to be shown!! 😏👍
Hi Neil. Hope you’re ok mate. Great video. Feel your pain with the wet and muddy conditions like most landscape photography. Nice set off images. Take care mate and see you on the next one.
A fair weather photographer haha made me laugh that. Even in bleak conditions you still get some great shots, can tell you put some thought into each shot, I need to try compose myself better and try stop taking to many snapshots of things that could have been really good if I had thought and slowed down a little, and nice points about going back to the same location again and again. Being off work is needed regardless of what you get up to hope you had a good week off. Even if weather isn’t good I still enjoy walking in the rain, I’ll bring my camera walkies and not even use it but still feel good I’ve been a nice walk.
Haha - Definitely need to get out in the rain more, as it was good fun that day... Its more the logistically side that puts me off. But I'm far too similar to you as well with taking shots, I really need to slow down a little at times, its one of my biggest issues... Was out not too long ago, and realised after a time that I was shooting on tripod with ISO 2000, I mean... Just why?
Hi Neil, I'm glad its not just me thats going out getting caked in mud for B-roll, You should get yourself a shower cap mate, when the rain comes in, pop it on the camera. 11:04 You must take me there when I visit. beautiful image and location. This is why I like YT because you can show the story behind the image.
Oh no mate... in terms of being caked in mud during that week off, the best is yet to come I promise you that 🤣- Never thought of a shower cap though, when I was initially reading your post, I was beginning to wonder why you'd suggest that I wear one 🤣... Its definitely a great spot for that Long Exposure, I'll definitely be heading back there in a month or two, just waiting for Sunrise to come up at the right spot, and fingers crossed I'll improve massively on it 👍👍
