The trip to Lake McGregor and Tekapo was a great experience for us. Such a beautiful landscape and breathtaking scenery you just can't really show in a video or picture. The ongoing drought there was kinda concerning. But you still portrayed that we'll. How the experience and nature felt there. I'm still sorry, that we had to rush so many things. Booking accommodation and events for the whole two months in advance was as much a mistake as it gave safety. I wouldn't do it like that again. Go for 6 months, do it right, take time to enjoy fewer things more and be able to get out of work mode that way, because at least for me it took me to get out that mode up until Mt Aoraki. Thanks for sharing our trip in the way you do! And yeah, after a cold rainy night, we were done after the church 😂

Awww, friend. You don’t have to apologise. I could totally understand why you wanted to show Manu everything, and it was an amazing trip! It was the same for me. Took me until Mt Cook until I could get out of work mode. I think we also had so many pressures from life weighing on us all. I hope you guys overall found it reviving. 💜💜💜 lol, I hate to agree with you but the church was unimpressive.

Indeed! I find myself getting less and less caught up in having to see everything when I travel. I actually convinced my friends to pace the trip a bit slower because I worried we’d be spending the entire time driving!

Never say never. Of course the lakes are dried up. It’s January in the middle of summer. Your correct pronunciation of the name just to help you is in its syllables. Teka po. After a good winter the lake will be full and the greenery will be lush and green.

Haha, yes of course winter will make it Lush again. That said, the locals said this was the dryest year on record for a many years..... also landed them the sunniest place in New Zealand in 2023, so not surprising it is dry. 💜💜💜 Thanks for the pronunciation. My roomie is learning Te Reo, so I'm learning heaps!
