actually that's not factual. they moved together and auditioned for "The Secret Circle" Phoebe auditioned for Faye Claire auditioned for Cassie Phoebe got the role but Claire didn't. Claire went on to audition for Rebekah and she got the role which led to Phoebe auditioning for the role as Hayley when The Secret Circle got cancelled.
I don’t think that’s the case originally it was only supposed to be 2 seasons but because of the success it got a third series and by the time it was renewed Claire holt already left the show and they knew that season 3 was gonna be their last as the characters were in their final year in school so even if Claire holt was there in season 3 it would have been the final season either way
@@cedricdallaire3324 it was a minor role in a sequel, it’s irrelevant whether it flopped or not it was her first role in the states. It got her foot in the door and allowed her to get bigger parts.
h2o was originally supposed to end at season 2, when you see ash, zane, and lewis watching their girlfriends swim away into the ocean. but due to high demand of a 3rd season, they decided to make another season. they weren’t able to have Emma in the show because she was filming The Messengers 2: The Scarecrow. What makes me sad is that, they completely removed Emma from the show in the 3rd season without any regards of her even being there at all. I do love bella tho, and i appreciate how she didn’t completely take over emma’s role and was her own character :) so yeah that’s that
didnt they just act like emma moved away though? they didn’t completely disregard her. And Emma and Cleo switched lockets before she left so in all of season 3, cleo was wearing emmas necklace.
The creator intended there to be just 2 seasons, so the girls contract was for 2 seasons only. It was never based on ratings they’d always planned for just those seasons to wrap the story up. Season 3 was a result of how popular the show became but Claire had just started working in America and was already unavailable when filming started. A fourth season was never on the cards sadly
Claire didn’t leave the show, she just had a prior commitment when filming for season 3 began. She was in the States filming for The Messengers 2. And fun fact, Cariba returned as Rikki for Mako Mermaids. There was supposed to be a movie combining both the cast of H2O and Mako Mermaids, but the project was shelved.
Objectively, season 2 was the best but subjectively season 3 is my favorite because I liked how dark the show got when water startes attacking girls during the full moon, and Cleo and Rikki matured a lot. Bella was a cinamon roll but it was a pleasant addition to the show 😊
Claire Holt wasn’t in the 3rd season of h2o just add water because she was busy filming the messengers: the scarecrow so they put Emma as she was travelling with her family
The movie was moved to mako mermaids too cuz in the last few episodes of the dragon Ricky showed up as an adult and Cleo and I forgot her name had decided to like other things and well move on but I think I’m a new mermaid movie they will all show up again pretty much what I think cuz I’m the end in the pond Ricky said “I think I know some friends who would like here” and she smiled and then it went onto Mimi and her lover
As a kid was 8 and lived in Queensland when I first saw this show I fell in LOVE there is still something so fun when I watch it because of the Australian vibes I get idk
I never really new why she left I just thought it was because she went to film something else and she did but season three was ok in my opinion season 2 was my favorite because Charlotte made it interesting by adding drama and a new mermaid
she left because their contracts (not sure if that was the right word) were up after season two. it was up in the air for a while if a 3rd season happens, most Australian shows only get 2. so she left because her job was up in the air and well, people need jobs.
If anything this show wasn’t suppose to go on forever like ur American shows do I think if anything it had a good ending and these actors did well dont think a kids show needs to go for a while
It wasn’t just a kids show. It was so different than any other kid or adult show and I believe that is why people wanted it to go on longer. Not because of our “American shows”
This isn’t the case at all and I already explained the full reasons why they each left under the finial episode of season 3 on the comment section. On the H2o official channel
i know right. i’m watching this and all i can just think is okay you talked, but you didn’t really say anything. as far as i can tell contracts where 2 seasons, but they made a third and final season, which also did feel like an end
Claire Holt and Pheobe Tonkins: just keep swimming, just keep swimming- also claire holt and pheobe tonkins: IM A HYBRID WEREWOLF ALPHA VAMPIRE OO AND IM THE ORIGINAL VAMPIRE AND MY FATHER WAS A BI-- SO MY BROTHER KILLED HIM AND MY MOTHER BUT LIKE LIVE LAUGH LOVE 💅🏻 💅🏻
In the uk the full seasons are in Amazon Prime, but you have to be a prime member to watch It. I started watching it in Netflix, then know I'm watching season 2 in RU-vid
Day 1: I used this I don’t know how many times I just know it was 10+ but it worked like so so so good I started with a little water on the sink and then it got bigger as I saw the water moon!!😭
I wish they would do some kind of homage in Ireland (from season 3 where Bella got transformed) or do a kind of redo as a movie or show but with a couple new twists. I know there’s a lot of people out there who loved this show as kids and would love to see something new. I’d love to see something based off the three girl’s children discovering mako island for the first time in present day and time.
DUDE IM RE-WATCHING IT and every time I forget that she LEFT! I really don’t like the main characters but I ALSO FORGET PHOEBE & CLAIRE ARE BOTH on the Vampire Diaries & I love that for them 😂
Me and my sister like loved H2O we loved watch in it but I don't know why BUT THEY TOOK IT OF NETFLIX 😢 now we have to watch mako mermaids it's not bad I like it but H2O WAS BETTER
The only reason u Americans know the show because two of the actors r in American shows and u looked them up when u watched them in those shows and found this show every Aussie kids childhood is this show and u guys didn’t know it back then when it was only shown on tv in aus and only meant for aus tv not American media it came to American media when these actors went to American shows
Imma prove u wrong. I saw this show on Netflix when I was in middle school (early-mid 2010s) and my parents were strict about me seeing things that they deemed too inappropriate for me to watch and no one was watching any of their American shows until very recently so the first roles I saw these girls in was H20. I’m planning on watching the vampire diaries and the originals when I get the chance so I can see more Claire and Phoebe.
It ended in 2012 with Season 3 after Claire left to work on other projects. Indianna Evans was cast as Bella, a mermaid who Cleo and Rikki come across to complete the trio of girls/mermaids once again. The series came to a natural conclusion with all of the girls with their partners (save Rikki and Zayne but implied they were on goodish terms), saving the world, and graduating high school.
Honestly I’m really glad we got a third season. Season three is my favorite and in my opinion it wraps up the story better than the previous season. And Bella’s my favorite character
