No, he didn't. He believed he was superior and expected to be treated as such, for no reason other being the oldest. He was a spoiled brat who threw fit when he didn't get the 'toy' he wanted.
the sad thing is the only who truly care about adamas will be Hades (the eldest among all Greek gods) ,Hades even give his mantle to cover Adamas ,what a chad brother
Don't forget thou it was poseidon who requested hades to bring Adamas back from death poseidon doesn't like fighting siblings he really hates it so when he killed adamas he ask hades to bring him back Stronger to it's explained when adamas arrives with ares hermes and Zeus
In poseidons case he probably didn’t see it as schemes. Schemes are plans that if discovered you can be punished or destroyed. Fucking with humans who if discovered what you were planning means nothing if they can’t do anything to you
@@thomasallen7799 You seem to be confused. What we know of _ancient_ polytheistic mythologies largely derives from _ancient_ sources. e.g. The Greeks of classical antiquity wrote stuff down, my guy.
Adamas was quite pathetic about it. Plus, just because you popped out of your moms vag earlier than someone else doesn’t mean you automatically get respect. Actions/behavior gets respect. Now, I understand that Poseidon can be seen as a condescending little bish. But Adamas only ever talked age, not action. „I am your older brother, respect me/look me in the eye. I demand it!“
He's actually not dead hades had him reborn at the request of poseidon so that he wouldn't die and the operation worked and he regained his position as a god you'll find out when hades fights Qin that poseidon did kill him but asked hades to revive him cuz poseidon didn't like fighting his siblings he actually hates that it's the reason why hades and poseidon never tried to dethrone Zeus plus in the manga they say hades is stronger than Zeus so it kinda makes sense
I have faith that Poseidon respects Zeus a lot too, maybe he also respects Apolo, because he is strong, smart and independent, but maybe not because he wasn't born perfect
@@leeeshpoona6641there‘s still 1 slot vacant for gods‘ side since the human side got 14 fighters with buddha. which means we‘ll see one battle that ends as a tie. I speculate siegfried as the last gods‘ fighter or a primordial god that odin tries to resurrect
That story hits different when you're a manga reader(btw i recommend it 1000/10) , if you wanna know, tell me & I'll reply here. Edit: Also don't read the other comments & mine below, there are manga spoilers
@@bullymaguire6339 Adamas is alive, Poseidon didn't really intend to kill him, he knew Beelzebub (another God) would he able to revive him somehow. He would've received a more strict punishment because of his rebellion. So ...Poseidon (his brother) actually cared about him.
nah i agree the dude understands thats gods are forces of nature first and people second ! thats just what gods are if Poseidon thought he was stronger than Zeus or if he wanted to be king he,d beat him that would be that.. we humans change the nature of the world so that we can survive with in it gods dont have to do that, they ARE the nature of the world so yeah this on brand !
@@DOCTORmakenstuff What is a God without someone sending prayers? Without humans the so called Gods are just unemployed losers without a purpose. Strong but still useless. What does their strength mean when everybody is the same in their realm and nothing to compare exists.
@@pard2397 sure i,m just saying that Poseidon's view of what a gods are is accurate, also... 'so called Gods are just unemployed losers '' um i think not when your a universal concept you do your job by just existing being employed or finding a purpose isn't something gods have to worry about. they are born grown up for the most part or at vary lest with a good idea what aspects of the Universe they represent ! they dont need prayer we do its how we commune with them and ask them for what WE need ! We basically bribe them with offerings but they dont need us to exist at lest not in most myths
@@DOCTORmakenstuff According to reality all gods who are not being worshipped anymore are pretty much dead in this world. Also i think to put them on par with an aspect of the universe sounds good but is a bit of a stretch. They are more aspects of the earth or human emotions. Thunder, The Sea, Lies, War, etc. Without us they are nothing special pretty much like you and i compared to the rest of this world and only in our realm with us they become something and this only in our eyes not in theirs. Our faith makes them strong and if we forget them they die.
@@pard2397 this is true in a meta way since the gods are not real they are just story's we stop telling them they die... however in this anime and in the world are ancestors thought was real Nyx Chaos Cronus Eros time/space etc were all universal concepts us not believing in time dose not hurt it and since they thought those concepts were gods it would be silly to think that not worshiping time would kill Cronus.. you may be wondering then why Zeus Thor and ra are so important when they are just sky gods its because early man figured out just how important the sky was ! need plants its up to the sun need to know what time it is look up want to know what the weathers going to be like tomorrow read the clouds need to navigate read the stars every sky god is a god on time, weather, harvest, outerspace, storms, lightning, thunder, etc ! since we humans needed to understand and feel like they had some rapport with those forces we imagined them in to people who could be bargained with give Thor your mead and goats Zeus your women sheep and maybe just maybe the sky's will be kind to you ! that is what are ancestors thought they did not dare to think they had something on the gods
This shoehorned brother makes no sense. Kronos ate his children after birth. There would've never been an interaction between them like the one shown here with an older sibling holding a newborn.
This is actualy a misleading event, see the real 13th god that died was hades. Why you ask? Cause the writers took away any chance of him becoming unique character or getting a proper backstory/motivation in favour of retroactivly working on these 2, bettering poseidon amd bringing the other dude back
The reason this anime.felt.so fucking cheap was this fucking tween motion and still frames and lack over all natural movement. The reason people.love RoR is because of how much energy and power it gave off with each charachters when this scene was in the manga itnreally made posiden feel indomitable and "god" like i really th8nk netflix should have just waited on this one i get every studio needs a chance but the first seaosn of ror just felt weak to me compared to now which is much better
@@thebookwithmanycovers Odin would outsmart Zeus in battle using strategies, but since Zeus is immortal, Zeus will eventually win after some hours or maybe days.
Just wanna clarify something - IRL: Hades is the oldest, but not the strongest. Zeus in terms of raw power is number 1. Hades could and probably does have more power than poseidon, but in terms of raw combat ability poseidon is the strongest/most skilled of the 3
Hades is the most respected. Poseidon is the most feared. Zeus is the most powerful. Feats: Zeus fought and killed his father, Kronos, who can control time itself. He also fought against giants in Gigantomachy. Poseidon killed his brother in one strike. He also fought in Gigantomachy. Hades fought Beelzebub and defeated him easily. He isn't even startled by Hajun's presence, even though he was the Demon Lord of the Sixth Heaven. He also held back Titans, not Giants (Titans are what Kronos' people are) and even killed them all while being alone.
While it is true that Zeus is strong, being the very first to kill his uncle who was a titan during the titanomachy there is a problem with scaling them using irl myths. His feats are almost on par with Poseidon, where he just clutches it with his deific domain. But this is also due to the era in which the latest iteration of the myth originated, which is the helenic era. If we go to the Mycanean Myths, which is basically the 1st iteration. Poseidon would be the strongest due to mycanean greece worshipping chthonic gods more than Sky gods. Then we have Hades who has so few records during the Helenic era and has absolutely zero at the mycanean era.
@Pedro Sadly, that's not the problem with Hades. Tho that particular side of things funnily enough applies to Persephone. You see, during the Mycanean period, the one who governs the underworld and the sea is actually just Poseidon. Hades was assumed to be a very modern addition during the helenic age. While Persephone is present at that time, being a more spooky kind of god going by many titles and names... the same stuff Hades is known for today. The fear they have for Persephone seems to have been succeeded by Hades as most books refer to him using titles instead of his actual name.
@@borisangelov481 Yes I never said Poseidon hated Hades, the whistle literally came from Hades, Poseidon hates reliance but Hades is the most relied which sort of make them two sides of the same coin
