Thank you! I am a licensed funeral director/Office manager. I tried so many different outfits that I saw on Pinterest. I decided so many years ago that I love blazers, cardigans, dainty blouses & pencil skirts. That is my homeostasis & I just do not veer away from it. I feel so comfortable! I don’t know where the this video was supposed to go, but I am glad that the content was so beneficial.

People are afraid to find their own style, they want others to lead them. I call it the "please think for me I can't bear to" effect. What's the hottest bag, okay I will buy that. What's the hottest brand, okay I will buy from them. What's the hottest color, okay I will get several pieces. Most people do not know their body shape and what works well with it. And do not get me started on the proper undergarments for different garments.

As always like Lauren H. I’m late to the party 😂😂😂. I’m so busy but I like to relax and catch up to your videos. During The Vid Era 😭😂. When we were home and my life revolved around sweat pants and eating all my snacks. I had to reevaluate my style. I never really cared for it. So I gave away pretty much all of my clothes. Kept my jeans cause I’m tall and as the tall girlies know when you find a jean you keep until you can’t keep anymore. I enjoyed second hand shopping , to find quality pieces , bought a few new pieces that were quality and learned how to reimagine those looks. It felt/feels good. I have repaired my jeans over and over again and I will do so until she tells me she can’t repair my jeans anymore. Sorry for the long response….just wanted to participate in the convo.

I laugh at those 10 items you should have in your closet articles because I've always known what my style is, and it has changed a little over time. However, the basics never have. Ex: I've never looked good in a trench coat, so I've never bought one. I believe that if you try something on and you're not happy in it, then it's not for you. ❤❤

Iv'e got 2 trench coats, one is white and lightweight unlined, and the other is also lightweight a checked gingham style in navy blue and white. Checks really work for me as do high contrast outfits. they both blouse out a lot, I like a wide belt and cinched in waist and lots of fabric. I once had a camel coloured rain jacket and got rid of it, too lacking in substance. I looked anaemic in it.

@@CappuccinosandConsignment That depends on how broad your outlook is. I have friends who are not very visual people. They don't have the same vocabulary, which is shorthand for style terms. We are flexible and easily able to see the potential of a look, but many are stuck in the same channels and are very reluctant to move out of it. Which is a shame. If you're already done a lot of research and are adept with translating a new look, then no problem.
