Just assess your statement at face value. The entire offensive staff is about to get fired and the current line is the worst at OU in 30 years. So what do you think?
@@christophermorales1509 who do you think they are wanting to play for? Players want to play for coaches that are successful. An OC should be able to keep a position coach if he wants or bring in coaches that he knows fit what he does. What a position coach does totally impacts the OC
Venables has to walk the tightrope.. have to overhaul the offense but have to retain Bedenbaugh who will likely be pursued by some other big time programs that smell blood in the water
@@gincain7988 Yes. The new OC needs to clean house if he feels it is appropriate. Bedenbaugh is NOT above reproach in this deal. He spent two years asleep at the wheel in recruiting the offensive line and here we are. He should be held accountable and if the new OC wants to start fresh... so be it.
His system is apparently so complicated that guys have to be in the system for 3-4 years before it clicks. That’s insane because for a decade we have been talking the first half of the season how the offensive line is struggling. Simplify the damn system
Going into the SEC, we really needed a dominant season to set the standard. Instead, the team is overly injured, some of the best players seem like they don't have the motivation to play. I bet, if the insiders were to be candid, we have several players that could play, but they are too busy spending that NIL money having parties. We have dudes that have been out since Texas last season. Adrian Peterson tore his ACL and MCL and returned to play within 8 MONTHS! These kids are soft millionaires that don't have heart. I'd rather the team recruit hungry 3 stars that have something to prove. Oklahoma is a small market, the program has made a play based on money, and well, I'm not sure it's going to work. Oklahoma went from being the biggest/best fish in a small pond, to a medium/average fish in the most competitive ocean. Basically, Oklahoma can't afford too many down seasons or else they will be permanently mediocre. People get pissed at fans that are overly critical/negative, but complacency and excuses make the perfect recipe for the next Nebraska.
It amazes me how many delusional "old head" OU fans think that kids are lining up to play here because we are a "blue blood" school. Modern kids could care less, in the age of NIL they care about money and location, we don't have one and are in real danger of running out of the other. Texas has neither of those problems. OU is playing a dangerous game trying to go Dollar for dollar against these huge schools. They should be spending their money on coaches that can turn 3-4 star kids into winners.

I'm going to cry myself to sleep the rest of the season. It's crazy that last season, we where a couple of stupid plays away from being undefeated, and this season we are a couple of lucky plays away from starting 2-4.
I think there's going to be a lot of decommits and a lot of players hit the transfer portal I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see Arnold Hawkins and Tatum all hit the portal because nobody wants to play for a team that is garbage and his team is trash
