Vhagar is 2 for 2 on sneak attacks. She isn’t the most experienced dragon alive for nothing.

Even if Alicent had never had the misunderstanding with Viserys about Aegon, things would have went the same way as Otto Hightower was planning this from before Viserys died.

Vhagar is not only the oldest and largest dragon on team Green, but she's also an experienced, battle-hardened war veteran. She fought during Aegon's Conquest(her rider was Visenya Targaryen), the Faith Militant Uprising, and the First Dornish War. All the dragons on team Black(except for Vermithor) are mere babies to her.

Sunfyre totally booped his own nose with Aegon. It melted my heart. That is the kindest ANYONE has been to Aegon.

Felt bad for both Meleys and Sunfyre. They never wanted to fight. Same with Vhagar. Old grandma dragon just wanted to rest and is tired of all these BS fighting.

Sunfyre and Aegon bond is so special

This episode kinda put into perspective that they were at war since episode one, but Rhaenyra lack of leadership allowed the other side to make the first move, which cost her Rhaenys and the biggest dragon they have.

In the book, it was a 2v1 fight. Meleys the swiftest dragon against Sunfyre & Vhagar the largest. And Rhaenys refused to surrender or flee. It was kill or be killed. But if we take the show's reasoning, i think Rhaenys went back the second time around because she already injured Vhagar and was going to finish the job. Vhagar/Aemond was the biggest threat from the side of the Green.

So after seeing Rhaenys skills in fighting and how much trouble she gave Aemond, if she and Daemon had teamed up like Daemond was trying to get her to do they would've whooped Aemond ass.

Did she really just complain about the dragon CGI?

Aemond is carrying the greens hard, the dude is smart and a good warrior with a huge dragon. Without him it would be over easily. Aegon was the only one keeping the greens back with his stupidity and now Aemond has taking him out so with him as king things will be hard for rhaenyra

A further tragedy is Meleys and Vhagar were the dragons on Alyssa and Baelon (Viserys and Daemon’s mother and father) and now they are trying to kill each other.

George RR Martin always said that the dragon in Westeros are the nuclear option, and that's just when one side has dragons. When both sides do? Guaranteed all out destruction, as we saw today. It's one thing to read about it, it's a whole other to see it

I don’t think aegon is dead

Its not about the Daemon way. Daemon needs an army, and he can't sit there while House Tully does nothing and allows its vassal houses to start their oen war. He's getting an army for Rhaenyra which you might remember she currently doesn't have

Aemond's dragon isn't evil, Vhagar is just doing what dragons with dragonriders do... and is really good at it. By that logic Meleys is also evil.

The concoction that Alys gave Daemon was Weirwood sap, it's what Bran consumes to enhance his Greenseer powers. He drank it because he had just seen her eat some and then add hot water to it. In the books, it is said that she appears younger than she really is, but according to the showrunner, Ryan Condel, she is 400 years old.

Vhagar isn't the evil one it's his rider that's evil. He knew he was going to injure Aegon (which I care less about) , but he admitted he was angry when he murdered Luce. Every one gives grief to Daemond about wanting the crown but he never did. Aemond always did want and thought he deserved the crown.

Sunfyre and Aegon has unique Bond, more like brothers than human and pet.

I love the brief glimpse we get of Aegon's relationship with Sunfyre. You can see the love. Probably the only kind of love Aegon has ever experienced.

First off I just wanna say RIP to Meleys the RED QUEEN !!! She's one of the most badass dragons in the dance, and it was glorious to see her in full display. Even though book readers like myself knew what was coming in this battle(in terms of the victor) it was still a surprise to see how the battle played out the way it did, an what actually happened between those three dragons in that battle. IMO if your watching this show and you don't consider these past four episodes as peak TV, then you're watching the wrong show !! 💯

That last look Meleys gave to Rhaenys just before they turned around again was heartbreaking. They both knew what was coming for them 😢

I think a lot of people keep looking past the fact that wether or not Aemond intervened or not wouldn’t of made a difference when it came to Meley’s vs sunfrye. Meley’s was just about to finish that battle before Aemond came around. Not to mention, she took almost no fire damage from Vhagar and won the first match between the two of them. The first time Vhagar and Meley’s clash, she does the most damage and causes her to slam onto the ground whereas she was still flying in the air just fine. Shoutout to Meley’s for being the Queen of the this episode. Imagine being such a badass dragon that the only way you could be defeated is with a sneak attack.

The key to happiness is finding yourself a dragon that looks at you the way Sunfire looked at Ageon when he gave him that chest bump.

I keep hearing reactors say "He" in describing Vhagar. Vhagar is a "She". She's the oldest "She", actually. One of the 3 original dragons of Aegon The Conqueror's conquest. Aegon had Balerion (male), Rhaenys had Meraxes (female), and Visenya had Vhagar. Vhagar has outlived them all. Ya'll put respect on this Queen's name.

She probably made up her mind when surprisingly saw all three main forces showed up at the same time, and realized this is probably a great chance for her to damage the green team the best she can. True warrior!

Rhaenyra lacks leadership

I personally don't really care about most Targarians if they die because I feel like they are all kinda in the wrong all the time. But watching these dragons die makes me sad. They are like big pups. Big, flying, firebreathing, mass-murdering, pups or terror.. but still.. pups. And I like pups 😔😂

Rheanys had one of the fastest dragons. She must've realized it was a trap as soon as Aemond showed up. I don't know why she didn't just bail.

This is the episode of HotD that made me say out loud 'oh my god, this show IS better than Game of Thrones'

One of the best things about 'Fire and Blood' is that it is told through a third person(s) giving the show writers lots of room to maneuver and surprise us all. I am questioning Rhaenys's decision to turn Meleys around and fight Vhagar. Did she do out of regret for not finishing the greens when she had the chance? Did she assume incompetence from Aemond after she just saw him burn his brother? We'll never know for certain.

Meleys was smaller but more agile than Vhagar; there was a chance she will able to win. Rhaenys decided it is worth risking her life, as killing Vhagar - and with Sunfyre severly injured and Helaena's dragoness never ridden by her - Greens would not have any adult dragons on their sides.

Nothing would have been avoided had Alicent understood what Viserys said. It was always going to go this way. The Alicent stuff only affected how she felt about it all going down. War was inevitable. The Green Council had been planning it all behind her back.

so Vagar is the biggest, Vermithor is a closest in size, Meleys and Caraxes are next in size but Vermithor is still much bigger then those two, Syrax and Sea-smock are next and the are around 2/3 the size of Meleys and Caraxes, then everyone else's dragons are ether smaller then Syrax and Sea-smock but are still fly able and can fight or too small to fly and can't fight, but as it stands now The Blacks have Vermithor: The Bronzes Fury (but is not claim yet), Caraxes: The Blood Worm, Syrax, Sea-smock (but is not claim yet), Jace's Dragon, Damon's daughter's dragon, and another one of Rhaenyra's son's dragon, meanwhile The Greens now just have Vagar: The Conqueror Dragon, because Sun-Fire is not going to get back in the fight if he is even alive, Dream-Fire is The Dragon-dreamer Queen's dragon and she's definitely not going into battle so The Greens only have one big, big, big dragon against The Blacks one big, big dragon, one big dragon, two medium dragons, and three small dragons Vagar can only do so much she just had a fairish fight against one dragon who had to fight two which tells me that Amond was not confident to one v one Meleys he let Sun-Fire weaken Meleys and trap her before joining the fight and taking the advantage. that against a dragon that might be able to kill Vagar, what a about a dragon that can kill Vagar Vermithor what is Amond going to against that he doesn't have any other dragon friends to use as bait anymore so what then? while yes this is a Green military victory, but it's also a black victory their enemy's leader is at beast dead at worst permanently incapacitated, and they only have one dragon to both defend their (Greens) castles, and too attack theirs (Blacks) so I would say The Blacks are in a really good place right now if they play their cards right (keep in mind there are no Green Dragons at King's landing right now)

How better could it be! The money involved in this is a LOT we shouldn't be insulting the animators who are giving us these incredible dragons in the first place.

A very good episode I enjoyed seeing young rhaenyra again 😂 Interesting that alicent take the moon tea maybe because she pregnant. 🤔 Nice seeing daemon and alys rivers talking to each other and daemon having visions. Seeing aegon riding sunfyre in Kings landing boy the cgi looks a bit rough. Enjoyed the battle of rook rest that was very good enjoyed seeing rhaenys and meleys get annihilated by vhagar GIGACHAD. It seems like sunfyre took slightly less damage then in the book and interesting seeing aemond potentially trying to kill aegon maybe as a mercy kill. 🤔
